Hello
The TOUCH DUAL has 4 Profile (Normal, Silent, Auto ...), is it possible to switch this Profile time based?
My idea was, that the current profile is set/save in the registry, and so i can write a .NET Application that change the registry-setting on time, or is the current profile not in the registry, or is it not possible to read/write the registry?
When the Profile Setting are in the registry, where can find it?
Thank you very much
cya Mib2000
Anyone ?
Very interesting ideea !
To complete the request , I need an app to switch off pda at 11 PM and turn on at 7 AM .
Is it posible ?
Please Help !!!
Try OS Profiler http://rs572.rapidshare.com/files/196659870/OS_Profiler_v0.4a.cab
Yup - CommManagerPro AKA CMP can do that - and lots more...
Or also G-Profile from Ageye can switch profiles you can set up.
Usefull but ...
Very usefull sugestions but :
1. lack of optimization for wvga format .
2 . none of the above can do a simple thing : turn ON/ off completely the phone !!
Sugestions please !
Solution !!! SHUT DOWN , SHUT OFF , TURN OFF
I finally find a solution for my problem .
I install G-alarm and xda-shutdown on my device .
In g-alarm I define a time trigered profile ( at 10PM ) where I put an entry wich it launches xda-shutdown with parameter /shutdown .
QED
But now I have a new question :
How can I TURN ON my device at a specified time ?
Regards
I doubt you can turn the device on by any application.
Not sure why you need to turn it off completely, but Gprofile can turn of radio and any other connection (wifi, blutooth) and then turn them back at specific times.
Anyone ?
I want to turn the device off at night to save batery power ( turning off is better than airplane mode I guess ) ... and because I usually sleep all this time !!!

not really,we don't know how many power are used during boot up,for nokia device(n78 which i previously owned),if device are turned off for 8 hours or more, then switching it off saves more power than using aeroplane mode.
Anyone knows how to prevent Hd2 going to standby when using app or game. Like i play orions and too much waiting shut it down. Another one is Skype. I speaked skype and after minute, call shutted down and i regonized phone was in standby mode. In skype settings i have "V" in "Prevent device standby mode when online" but it's not work. Anyone knows how to really prevent standby mode when using apps. I finded only oldSAP's don't sleep wifi but wifi is not my problem because i got auto connect when phone wake. Maybe that can help little if downloading something but my problem is device standby mode when using apps. And i don't want do that normal thing in settings which totally take standby off "that thing you must manually press shutdown button"
If there is answer somewhere, i didn't find it. Can someone post link PM and then delete this message
Anyone knows solution? Thanks

Hello Team,
I have been using Android phones almost an year now and I know everyone might be facing the battery drain issue.
Found so many tricks which involves turning Wi-Fi/3G/Sync OFF, less brightness, blah blah etc.
I know that the continuous network probing by various android & Application services, keeping the device 3g/2g service active and prompt the battery to drain. Can we have a software fix to stop this probing by timely basis as an option ? like all services should use the 2g/3g after x interval only ( I would say if X=5 seconds, we wont be facing much delay with chat application, in effect extra battery life too) and if the fix has an option to manually Turn this fix ON and OFF, it would be good.
I was searching on Google last few days with a hope that somebody would have already tried to provide this fix , but found unsuccessful.
Any thoughts ? that it would practically be possible and it would work as I expected.
Cheers,
Kirankumar.

Rather than a app like Tasker, I would expect a script fix to do it, like how we change the CPU Governer kind of option, where we can chose how often phone should prob the internet. WIll this be a good idea and will work, Whats your all's view ?
The power saver works only with cpu limitations but a few item you may want to check is what kernal you are useing is your wifi on when not needed or bluetooth wifi direct or gps or hot spot also you may want to check the default brightness level also background tasks you also may want to try a simple restart any other issues or dthings you think i missed please add as you feel in the comments.
Every electronic device in this world required power to stay functional, including Android. However, sometimes battery draining could be too fast. Unused app keep running in the background, wifi keep on while not using, device temperature is too high, etc
Finally here come a live saver.
EXA Battery Saver is the first solution to save battery power by using AI, science and system tweaking
Features mark with # required Root Access.

#Core Tuning :
Core Tuning is a feature that could set CPU Governor to the mode you need, such as performance, balance, or powersave.
#Lightning Charge :
Lightning Charge could speed up battery charging by set the CPU frequency to minimum value during charging. This could obviously improve the speed of charging but would also temporary decrease the performance of device.
#Application Hibernator :
If you have used app like Greenify before, you might have familiar with this feature. Yes, this feature prevent unused apps from running in background by using Android built in Force-Stop feature (am force-stop).
Service Stopper :

System Sound: Sound for keyboard button, back button, home button, etc.
Notification Sound: Sound when received notification
Charging Optimization :

#Automatic Discharge :
Since I have study a lot about battery while making this app, I have found out that charging battery level to 80% is better than 100% . This feature is used to discharge the device when battery level reach selected value, currently I am investigating this code :
Code:
dumpsys battery unplug
