PLEASE HELP. I Brick My Honor 6 trying to update it to Android 6

I have one H60-L02, its chinese model and its not rooted or anything like that.
I was in EMUI 3.1 and I try to update to EMUI 4.0, but I make a mistake because I charge one update of 100MB. I did it by local way, with "dload" in SD.
When Honor 6 restarts he didnt charge android anymore and now:
1) if I restart with 3 buttons he stops in the first "honor powered by android"
2) if I restart with power button + vol up he charge recovery but in chinese and I can only restart cache and hard reset but that doesnt works.
3) if I turn off he restarts again, I cant turn off, he always restart.
I try to put some Original FULL ROMs in SD but they dont charge and dont reinstall anything.
Only when I try to charge this rollback "mega:///#F!uopFUBJa!jp6hkjmftAKjQ8LrriwOTA!ukZzVDIY" to EMUI 3.1 something changes. Now when I starts says "4GLTE" screen and then an "android" screen, but the same 3 steps before and anything else.
PLEASE HELP ME

there is a recoverymode in HiSuite. Idk what it does but I guess (!) it installs the last working firmware and can make your phone work again.

I think the link dont works
I send the phone to Huawei Support in Spain, and they told me they cannot fix it because is a chinese version. WTF?

So you have nothing to loose, if you try it.
Install HiSuite on your Computer, start your Smartphone in Fastbood-Mode (Power-Button + Vol. down), select recovery on HiSuite.
The link says "HiSuite will download a suitable version from the official web, the speed of the downloading will be connected to the network speed of the user. As this is a large version, it will take a long time to download, commonly for 1~2 hours, so please wait patiently."

I think the version isn't important. There is a recovery option in the newest version.

I tried it. Recovery mode isn't supported on my European L04

I was tinkering with my phone, did not know what I was doing, tried to flash a stock recovery to replace twrp, most probably was flashing the wrong version as the recovery was not booting, (being the noob i am) also flashed recovery.IMG.header and now my phone is stuck in bootloader with error message
Please update system again (in red color)
And under the gutted Android logo
Something about boot image being corrupted (again in red)
and an error number.
Adb does not recognize my device, actually even device manager does not recognize it any more.
Tried to force install drivers and any other method I could think of or read here on XDA forums. Still the same
So, is there a room of developers or tech enthusiasts who can help me to try to solve this problem.

This is the screen I get, battery does not charge, no matter how hard I try, I can not enter a bootloader without error message, and my PC does not even recognize my device when I connect it. Mean windows device manager does not show any changes in hardware

first of all download the stcok firmware that suits your device, then follow one of these methods.
1. Prepare a capacity of more than 2GB SD card
2. confirm the presence UPDATE.APP dload file directory, then the whole dload copied to the SD card root directory. SDcard\dload\UPDATE.APP
3. Press the volume button down, press power button, volume up and down keys to sustained 10 seconds, the phone will automatically trigger an increase in the SD card.

Second Methods : Upgrade normal
1. Prepare a capacity of more than 2G SD card, it is recommended to use Micro SD class 8 and up
2. Format SD card (optional).
3. confirm the presence UPDATE.APP dload file directory, then the whole dload copied to the SD card root directory.
4. SD card into the phone is turned on, go to “Settings”, select “Settings – Phone Upgrades – System Software Update – Local Upgrade.” Based on the dialogue choose whether to back the data, and finally select the “Upgrade” button to start the upgrade.
tell me if it works.

I tried this method once, did not work. Will give it another try and will let you know.

How about flashing firmware?! @DigiGoon

Try this method buddy:
Download your phone's latest firmware and extract system.img, boot.img, recovery.img, cust.img from UPDATE.APP using Huawei Update Extractor tool.
Boot into bootloader mode by switching off the phone then pressing only the Vol DOWN button, and connecting it to PC simultaneously.
Flash recovery first, using this command.
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Flash all other extracted files similarly firing these commands.
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash cust cust.img
fastboot flash system system.img
After doing this put that very UPDATE.APP from which you extracted the files in dload folder of your external SDCARD.
Switch off your phone, and press Vol UP + Vol DOWN + Power button simultaneously.

I already tried pressing the volume down button and connecting to PC simultaneously, also tried power + volume down.
Also tried power+volume up, 3 btn restart.
Nothing works. It does not boot into bootloader no matter what i try and my PC does not recognize it at all in the present state so no chance for adb to recognize it.
Also installed Huawei Usb drivers, kouch's universal drivers.
I am thinking that it's a hard brick looking like a soft brick.
I saw a guide somewhere saying that I need to physically pry open the phone and do some meddling with the hardware to get it fixed but I am not into that so just closed the page and never tried to find it again.

If it is still under warranty, I would try oficial support. They generally dont bother about installing recoveries, 3rd party ROMs...
Even if it is out of warranty, they could provide you a reasonable cheap repair. Better than fiddling inside and do some physical damage that could mean replacing the whole board.

Your idea seems to be the better solution :good:

Agreed with zinko_pt here, don't open it and try anything physically, instead throw it in a Huawei service center, they'll definitely help you.

I am thinking the same thing. Will try'em out now.
Its the Chinese version of honor 6 h60-L01 so was thinking of taking it to them whenever I visit China again.
May be I should try the local Huawei service center in Pakistan first but I am not so sure that they can solve it here...

It's worth a try though. They could tell you they can't repair it due to being a Chinese version, but they could also analyse the symptoms all tell you what repair is needed.

[Solved] Possibly bricked, eRecovery not working

I wanted to flash a ROM, so I unlocked the bootloader and installed TWRP successfully. Then I downloaded the ROM, factory reset, format data, and installed the ROM. When the phone booted, it showed a black screen, and only the hardware buttons worked. I could lock the phone, and if I pressed the power button, it would "light up" the screen, but still black. Holding the power button gave me the power menu from the ROM I flashed (advanced boot options).
I did another factory reset and flashed the ROM again, and from thereon out, it never made it to the lock screen again.
I have attempted the eRecovery function, but it doesn't fix the issue either. The firmware downloads and is installed, but then it just boot loops for a couple times, then goes back to the screen suggesting a recovery operation.
Is this permanent now, or can it can still be salvaged?

The ROM I attempted to install was ROM-Aur-v1.5.
I had no ROM installed previously; phone was stock.
I did not manipulate the OEM info; all I did was unlock the bootloader with the unlock code I was given by the Huawei online site.

Apparently, unlocking the bootloader several times seems to have solved the issue.
Once again, thanks to everyone who helped me out with this.

What was the rom, which was installed before?
Did you change branding via manipulating oem info?

use another Android phone download huaweifirmware finder on the google play ，select mha-l29c567，than select dns update，change your router dns，you can do erecovery after setup dns！

Thank you for your response. However, I tried it and it didn't work for me. I downloaded the app, checked the firmware was available, registered the update, changed my router DNS, and then attempted the eRecovery. It downloaded the package then installed it, but the same problem continues.

How would I go about doing that? I can't take the phone past the boot logo screen; it just boot loops then goes to the eRecovery screen. And when I try that recovery method, it only gives me the option to download latest version over WiFi and install it. Which does not fix the problem.

Rebranding is not really necessary.

I am not marking this thread as solved yet, just in case, but I will do so later on in the day if the phone continues working as before.
I want to thank all of you for your time and input, I really appreciate it.

Unlocking bootloader does a factory reset so that might be why it's working again

I know this is a really old thread, but this is happening to me too. How did you unlock the bootloader again? adb isn't recognizing my device? Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, I do not remember the exact process I performed in order to unlock the bootloader the final time.
I remember I had to play a lot back and forth with adb and fastboot. Have you checked if fastboot recognizes your phone?
I believe that what I did was start from the very beginning; installing a recovery (I used TWRP). If fastboot recognizes your phone, and you are able to install a recovery, from there I'm pretty sure adb will recognize your phone and then you can unlock the bootloader.
I would recommend not trying anything fancy. Only recovery and bootloader.

Thanks for responding! I'm still at a loss two hours later.
Unfortunately USB debugging got turned off somewhere along the way, so ADB and fastboot aren't recognizing my phone. I can still access TWRP, but when I try adb sideload in TWRP is just says it's starting but keeps loading and nothing comes up and I get a message on my computer that says "the last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it"

Yeah, the ADB sideload problem also happened to me. Eventually gave up on that.
I hope I'm allow to post links.

Using those tools mentioned in that post helped me out. I had to do a lot of experimenting with that as well. Every time I connected and disconnected my phone from my computer, I checked which were the references that needed deleting, then deleted them. It was tedious, but I'm not expert, so maybe I took the long way.
Maybe try using those tools?

I have a Huawei Mate 7 LT-09 16 gig, and I recently did these works:
1. The installed rom was android 6 B513.
2. I read a post in this forum (that is closed now) and updated it to B553 KingVIP Chinese through restoring nandroid TWRP backup.
3. After install I saw lots of bugs, so I wipe all partitions through advanced wipe in TWRP.
4. Then install marshmallow stock recovery using mobopx tool.
after that nothing works.
The USB drive just show hisuite CD-Rom and device not recognize for ADB Options in windows 7,8,8.1 and 10.
There is no recovery,
There is no option using combinations of the buttons vol+,Vol- and power.
I tried installing stock ROM through .app file and dload folder and still nothing works.
I tried Jtag and after lots of work, fastboot screen appears and reinstalling all versions of different recoveries and looks like the software is installing nowhere in neverland!, there is nothing!
I take my device to a technician and he said there is maybe no way to re-run the device. I really need help.

No bootloader, no recovery, no option using combinations of the buttons vol+,Vol- and power, no recognition by ADB on PC only huawei logo.
He tried Jtag to appear fastboot, but I never read anything about Jtag. Where can I find it and how to use it?

What happens when you enable your phone (after shutdown) with pressing power + volume up?
Also, what happens when you do the same but with power + volume down?
I would say that if it loads the logo you should be able to enter fastboot/recovery.
Focus on this first and what is your experience with using custom roms to give us an idea of what could be overlooked etc.
If you can load to fastboot and/or recovery let us know and we start from there.

I brought the phone to the huawei customer center and they told me it need to change motherboard to fix it but it is out of production. I brought it to two famous Chinese stores to fix phones here in Milano, but they couldn't do anything (so they said).
I would just like to retrieve the use of the phone. I saved all the data.

Not being able to to overcome the logo boot is unknown to me. Maybe the phone should still be able to be flashed!
I lack the knowledge, but to help out I share a link to someone having a similar issue. I will share the link at the end of this post.
If you are unable to connect to your phone and/or make it enter fastboot or recovery I have no idea if that means your phone is bricked.
For now, make sure you understand how to flash,boot,reset etc your phone, only to be sure you have tried all approaches.
Let us know if you did not succeed also so others can learn from this thread in the future

I connected the device to my pc but ADB doesn't recognized it.

I have same problem as u before, i managed to go to fastboot and then i installed a recovery but the probleme, i bring it into a repair store and the dude literally broke my sd card slot so now I'm really upset.
After that i wanted to make a restore to proposed backups in the firmware forum but nothing happend

now I am in this situation: I was able to install TWRP recovery for Marshmallow 3.0.2-0 Mate 7 by Mobopx v.2.1.
I chose this recovery beecause my last firmware was EMUI 4.0 (Marshmallow).
After I tried to apply this method: http://ministryofsolutions.com/2016...09tl10-bootloop-after-marshmallow-update.html, but it didn't work. After flashing I power on the phone and it try to boot (some times the animation start too for a bit) but then nothing. The phone reboot in recovery mode (this is a change compared to before).
Somebody has some ideas??

I flashed a TWRP backup get from this forum and now my phone is working.

and choose the appropriate TWRP backp. Flash it by TWRP recovery. It were very simple!!!.
Obviously you have have a working TWRP recovery.....

I just installed lineage os on my huawei p20. But i like to return to emui8.1. Where can i download the original firmwares?

I would suggest "Firmware Finder" by TeamMT.
Google it, there is a PC Version and a mobile one for Android. Make sure to EXACTLY enter your device type ( in my case EML-L29C432) If you dont know your model take a look at the phone box.
You need to download three files. If you still have TWRP you can use HuRupdater. Place the three files in a folder together with the hurupdater.zip, then flash the hurupdater zip. I may seem stuck but it just takes a few minutes so be patient and do NOT REBOOT MANUALLY DURING INSTALLATION (=Brick)

If I upgrade to EMUI 9.0 and don’t like it. Can I not just do a simple factory reset on the p20 to revert back to EMUI 8.1. My phone is EM L09.

Thanks I have read this guide but I don’t want to root my phone. Is there not a way to just factory reset without rooting?

Yes, you can use eRecovery.
No Root or Flashing Stuff needed.
1. Power Off your Phone
2. Press the Powerbutton shortly and wait till you see the Huawei Logo.
3. As soon as you can see the huawei logo press and hold the volume up button. This will take you to erecovery.
You will see a Screen with different options
4. Touch the "Download latest Version and Recovery" Button at the bottom of the screen. Your Phone will activate Wifi.
5. Choose your Wifi Network and enter your Wifi Key.
6. When the phone is successfully connected it will search for the latest official firmware. Follow the instructions

Thanks sackgnom. I will try this but I am worried that if Huawei makes emui 9 as the official firmware from this point on then doing the above steps will not allow me to reset to 8.1. I will keep it posted.
