Hello! Draw over other apps suddenly stops working. All the apps (such facebook messenger or navbar) appears active but when I open those apps they say me that I have to activate draw over other apps... Anybody with the same problem? I reset the app preferences already but still not working. Thanks!
I have the same problem with ladtpass, did you hqve found a solution?

So I've seen a lot of android problems but not something like this.
Im using Ulefone Power ( Android 6.0, 3GB ram and so on...) Everytime i clear recent apps android kills app completely. Lets make it easier to understand. Im using WhatsApp and when i close the app i can still recieve notifications but when i clear WhatsApp from recent apps android totally kills WhatsApp and i cant recieve notifications anymore unitl i manually open the app.
Another example is i also installed fingerprint gestures where i can tap once at fingerprint sensor and the screen will turn off. Its the same thing when app is in recent apps everything works great even the notification stands in notification area but when i clear recent apps everything stops.
I've never faced this problem before and i cant find solution so if somebody knows how to fix it i would be really thankful
Hi !
Please refer to this thread as more users with a similar device may be available
Good luck !
Hi guys
A while back I received an OTA update to L29C185B186 and ever since then I'm regularly (multiple times daily) having an issue with apps, most particularly Facebook, force quitting without any error or warning. It unexpectedly animates in a similar way to pressing the home button to minimise, then when I go to the app switcher I see it listed there but if I tap on it then it slides away as if I closed the app.
Anyone else experiencing this and/or know how to fix?
Stock operating system, no root
Go to Settings - Battery - Settings icon up top - turn off Close power excessive apps.,
It's a bug, it's supposed to close background apps but it does it to foreground ones too.
Think you hit the nail on the head there, Facebook among other apps does appear in the history of autoclosed apps. Useful feature when it works right, but bugs will be bugs
Thanks mate
Hi everyone.
My wife has an S8 and recently she has noticed that she hasn't been receiving notification on Facebook messenger.
Me thinking it was an easy problem to solve went into the phone setting clicked on notifications and found that the notifications for the app were all on how they should be.
Then I went into the app settings and checked there and everything was right.
Then I restarted the phone and it still wouldn't work.
Then I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and still no success
I even got my phone out an S7E and checked how the settings should look on mine and hers matched my settings.
All her other apps are working except this one.
Am I missing something here, because it doesn't make any sense why it's not working. I performed a stock flash on the device about a month ago to 3 software, so she could have wifi calling but I don't see how this could of affected this one app and none of the others.
If anyone has any suggestions here I am all ears because I am out of ideas.
Make sure that it's not being forced close by the S8's onboard memory manager... sometimes it shuts down apps and you won't get notifications. Double check in the battery settings (you can get there from settings or the swipe panel) to see if the Messenger app itself is active.

Hi people, I seem to have solved the problem.
I followed the suggestion and went to the battery setting. In those setting there was an option for unmonitored and monitored apps. When checking the list of apps that were in these setting everything was right, including the messenger app in unmonitered app section. I removed it from that list and didn't bother adding it back.
Tested.........and it worked....I even got other people to message her in different situtations and it worked and still works.....not added it back in to the list yet, as long as it keeps working I prob won't
Using an S10 5G on the latest Korean firmware, rooted with magisk. I use 3 point navigation gestures along with one handed+ and Nova Launcher 7.
Problem: Every now and then when I'm using the phone, the screen will blink once. When that happens, the Samsung Messages app appears in my recents as a sort of blank app. If I try to switch to it, its a blank screen.
Uninstalling the app is not an option because for some reason, other messaging apps don't work (message sending fails instantly).
Has anyone else experienced something like this?
P. S. Just as I was typing this post, it happened. I've attached a screenshot.
The other SMS apps don't work because of the lack of a service center number that is used to send SMS. Those apps have no setting for it.
No one experienced this? :/
Solved.
First I found a solution for the SMSC problem that prevented third party SMS apps from working. The app NetMonster allowed me to manually update the SMSC. Once it was set, third party apps started working.
Next step? Uninstall com.samsung.android.messaging using adb.
Problem solved.
