Hello guys,
I just got my View 10 today and it is a great phone, I love it. But, themes I download from the themes app or hwt files from XDA and placed in Huawei>Themes will only show up in the Themes app, but won't apply. When I click apply the phone loads for a fraction of a second and then goes to the home screen, not changing anything. I can apply the wallpaper from the customize section, but that's it. No icon changed, the UI is the same. Can anyone shed a light on my mysterious problem?
Try factory reset once
Hi there always factory reset a phone so that it work well and do remeber to update the firmware and again factory reset it. Then try applying the theme. As far as i know there is no problem in 140 latest firmware... Try it and let me know.

A fix for it!
Okay, so, after two moths of searching, I figured out how to fix it. use the program SKtools, You can go and change everything about the colors and theme of the computer, regardless of OS. anyway... thought you'd like to know.
Hi
I tried ADW Red theme, did not like it therefore removed it. In fact it refuses to go.
So now, I cannot change theme on my ADW EX, not even go back to the original one. I get a reddish background from the Red theme.
The most annoying is the fact that it has removed all my widgets, and is disturbing others applications.
I uninstalled it via Market, but it is still there on the screen and icons.
What can I do to rectify this? I am really peeved.
Thanks
T.

Did you go into the ADW. Settings to change your icons, etc? Next I would suggest that you should delete data and cache from the app. (but you said you uninstalled it). Last I would recommend that you do a factory reset from within your settings menu, which will wipe all of your data and settings but will also let you start over. I'm assuming that you're unrooted stock,
Hello! I keep having this issue, as you can see, there are no icons on screen, except for the widgets. It only happens when i choose the App Drawer option, everything is normal when i use the Standard mode.
I already tried a factory reset, and extracting the Huawei Home apk from other Mate 9, installing it but nothing happened. Can anybody please help me? I haven't even unlocked the bootloader. It Is as stock as i bought it.

The same thing just happened to me on my Samsung S9. I found this post and re-applied the default theme. The icons came back but I had to go back and reset my wallpaper. I had settings set to update over wifi only. It did say there was an update so I switched that setting off and let it update. Rebooted again and still lost the icons. Still fixed by reapplying the theme.

Yes this is the only fix for the moment I'm afraid or you can go and kill your current launcher process. This will bring the icons back... but after rebooting the icons disappear again. I contacted Samsung here in Greece and they connected with me with Smart Tutor. They said it's probably a bug but they recomended a factory reset... They said after an update they recomend a factory reset for the patch to install more smoothly... This MAY eliminate the bug... MAY... don't know if it's worth all the fuzz of a factory reset just for a MAY... The funny thing is that I have a folder on a home screen with all the games that are currently moved at my SD card and they show up just fine after a little while (time to load from SD card). This is the opposite... instead of losing icon the shortcut the icon of the app its self gets lost. You can delete and replace the icon of a shortcut from the appdrawer but... you cant replace something in the appdrawer...
New here, HI all!
My issue is, I have no phone dialer keypad wallpaper, it is blank, but I have set a call receiving wallpaper. Is this a known problem or is their a way to fix it?
Tia
May have to do with the theme you're using.
Try clearing the system cache.
Thank you for your reply. I cleared system cache, and still nogo. I'm not running any theme.
Just tested it, Working here try to set another wallpaper for dialer
Thanks, ya still nothing. Tried that, and also installed a theme. Weird!

Some themes and icon packs may not work as shown. This happens occasionally even on my N10+/Pie. The newer the OS version the more likely it probably becomes.
The theme that I installed everything worked except the dialer keypad wallpaper. Thanks for your reply.
