Question No dialer wallpaper - Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra

New here, HI all!
My issue is, I have no phone dialer keypad wallpaper, it is blank, but I have set a call receiving wallpaper. Is this a known problem or is their a way to fix it?
Tia

May have to do with the theme you're using.
Try clearing the system cache.

Thank you for your reply. I cleared system cache, and still nogo. I'm not running any theme.

Just tested it, Working here try to set another wallpaper for dialer

Thanks, ya still nothing. Tried that, and also installed a theme. Weird!

Some themes and icon packs may not work as shown. This happens occasionally even on my N10+/Pie. The newer the OS version the more likely it probably becomes.

The theme that I installed everything worked except the dialer keypad wallpaper. Thanks for your reply.

LauncherPro problem...

Whenever I try to change one of the dock icons it only changes the one on the far left. is there anyway to fix this?
How are you trying to change them?
Press and hold the icon/location in the dock that your want to replace. It'll pop up the selection for what you want.
I've changed mine from the defaults to what I wanted and then with the latest update back to the same apps I docked but using the default "ghosted" icons that come with the app.
That's what I'm doing, but it doesn't matter which icon i press it only changes the first one.
Weird...
Have you tried uninstalling and re-downloading and installing?
Just tried this myself (didn't know you could even change the icons before) and it does the same thing for me. I tried to change the Messaging icon to GMail, and it changed the Phone icon on the left instead. Confirmed as far as I'm concerned.
mine change, no problem. droid incredible.

Just set up LauncherPro myself yesterday and all icons are changing fine for me. G1 running SuperE 1.0.2 at the moment...
And the person with the Incredible can't be running CM because as far as I know, the Incredible is still unrooted.
That was my point.... You're not running CM either. It's not a problem with LauncherPro. It's a problem with LauncherPro and CM. Anyone not running CM will work fine. Anyone running any CM5.0.7+ will have problems. THis is the point I'm trying to make.

[Q] ADW Red

Hi
I tried ADW Red theme, did not like it therefore removed it. In fact it refuses to go.
So now, I cannot change theme on my ADW EX, not even go back to the original one. I get a reddish background from the Red theme.
The most annoying is the fact that it has removed all my widgets, and is disturbing others applications.
I uninstalled it via Market, but it is still there on the screen and icons.
What can I do to rectify this? I am really peeved.
Thanks
T.

Did you go into the ADW. Settings to change your icons, etc? Next I would suggest that you should delete data and cache from the app. (but you said you uninstalled it). Last I would recommend that you do a factory reset from within your settings menu, which will wipe all of your data and settings but will also let you start over. I'm assuming that you're unrooted stock,

Lock wallpaper

Anyone having issues changing your lock screen wallpaper? I'm running Synergy r55 and anytime I try to change the lock screen wallpaper it says SecWallpaperChooser has stopped? I don't think it's a ROM thing cause I couldn't change it before th eroot/unlock/ROM. It didn't crash before though it process like it was going to change but wouldn't.
The other weird thing is I flashed CleanROM and it changed to the default lockscreen wallpaper it has???? WTH

I dunno if this has anything to do with your problem, but if I try to change my wallpapers any way except going into system settings>wallpaper it get's screwy. I'm also running Synergy.
Try doing it that way to see if it makes any difference, as opposed to long pressing the homescreen etc..

Galaxy s9+ widgets won't work

Hello,
I'm having a VERY frustrating problem with widgets on my phone. I have the galaxy s9+, and the os that I use is next launcher. I've had next launcher since it first came out when the s3 was new, and I've never had the problem I'm having now.
The most noticeable part of my problem is that my weather widget freezes. When I restart my phone, the widget will load in with the correct time for that minute, and time on the widget will never change. When I press the theme button all of the theme choices show the correct time, but when I hit 'apply' the time displayed on the widget doesn't change. I've Uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared cache, confirmed location permission, and nothing is working. I've also Uninstalled and reinstalled next launcher, tried other weather widgets, and nothing is working.
Help and suggestions are greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Next Launcher...last updated July 11th, 2016. Is that the one you're using?
Yep. That's the one. I just sent them an email lol. Hopefully they reply.
Do widgets work correctly with a different launcher, like Nova? (They work fine with Nova on my 9+.) Sounds to me like Next needs to be updated to support Oreo.

Question Missing checkbox in the UI

Dear all, I'm wondering if anyone has the same problem that I have been facing since I got my S22 Ultra. The checkbox is always invisible after I selected something, and it affects every UI where there are checkboxes. This affects both the light and dark themes. Anyone has a solution?
That's File Manager?
They are actually selected though, right?
Does it happen in safe mode?
Try clearing the system cache.

Yes that's file manage. It doesn't matter the app though, it happens in every app that allows selecting multiple items through the checkbox (e.g., Gallery). I just tried it in Safe mode and it's the same. Yes, the files are selected, but without the indication, it is kind of difficult to see what has been selected in some of the apps.

Something is screwy with the UI.
Was it always like this?
Did a third app start this?
Try clearing the system cache... it clears up all manner of bizarre behavior sometimes.
Try clearing the One UI Home and the Samsung Experience cache. Clearing the data will lose a lot of settings.

From what I remember the UI has been like this since I received the phone. I thought it was just some bug that would go away with software patches but it has been there for the last 6 months.
Where do I clear the system cache from?

Boot menu.
It's possible the rom is corrupted. If your near a Best Buy that has a Samsung Experience center you can have them look at it. The can reflash the stock rom if needed. A factory reset might fix it but don't count on it. Unless a 3rd party app did it a factory reset is probably a waste of time.

Thank you so much for your help. I have wiped the cache partition to no avail. I guess I will have to bring this down to a Samsung centre to check it out.
Thanks again!!

I've got the same issue and no solution as yet. I think this started a month or so ago and only affect Samsung apps as the check box appears in others. Actually, the check briefly shows in Samsung apps too but then disappears only leaving dark background. I've got used to it. I suspect, in my case, a combination of changes I made to phone including good lock modules

Genius!
Maybe it's an issue related to a theme you have applied.
Try to apply the default theme and check if the issue still persist.

I have it on 0.5x all these time. When I set it to 1x, it does get a little funky. Some apps seems to be ok while others seems to be screwy.
I set the animation to off and it completely resolved the problem!! Thanks so much!!

True; not all themes will be compatible. Same applies to icon packs. They usually run ok but you need to sample them first. I've run the one default theme for years with a custom icon pack and wallpaper.

Insightful. Good save
Developer options can cause mischief. If you're using them you need to bear that in mind. Normally turning off all Developer options then enabling them again clears errors.
Thanks for that reminder too; normally they work so well you forget you're using them.
Tbh, now that everything is working normally, i don't miss the animations at all!!

Animations are quit annoying... and use a small amount of resources for nothing. Junk.
