The "add to calendar" attachment that appears at the top of an email is not displaying for all emails. (Pic attached of working and not working)
It is strange that I am able to temporarily fix it (it displays correctly) for a period of time whenever I clear app data or whenever I uninstall/reinstall, but then eventually it reverts back within minutes or so. On the website "add to calendar is always there and not missing.
Anyone else experiencing this? It started a couple weeks ago for me. Any ideas why this could be happening?
I'm the only one? =(

Hi all,
Just set up an account here as I've had a problem with my XDA Orbit 2. It was knocked out of my hand the other day (not the first time it's been dropped though) and when I picked it up, it appeared to be restarting, so I thought nothing of it (thought perhaps the battery had come loose or something).
After a few minutes, I had a look at it and realised it had reset itself to the factory settings. So I go through that process and after it goes through that whole process, when I got to the today screen, I did a quick scan and found that all my messages and emails were still there (and the settings too), all the files and pictures I had on the phone were present... the only things that appear to have been affected are my contacts list and calendar details (birthdays, appointments etc). These are simply gone!
I went to Settings --> Menu and noticed that some of the menu items I could select were doubled (I have, for example "Calendar" and "Calendar (1)", "Phone" and "Phone (1)" and "Contacts" and "Contacts (1)". Long story short... I managed to open these (contacts in particular), but there's no informtion there at all. I also had a look at the PIM.VOL file (it was about 350kb) and extracted all the subfiles, but the contacts file was empty (0 records). So the question is: are my contacts actually gone? I'm hoping not, seeing as everything else is still on the phone, but I know this isn't a guarantee...
Sorry for the long message, but hopefully someone can give me an idea of what to do. If anything!
Thanks in advance.
So I just got an Infuse this week... I've been through 4 so far because I kept having them do random stuff... first two cooked to the point of having to pull the battery because it would just freeze. Third one due to reboots about every 15 minutes... So far I really like the phone but I'm noticing a trend.
On the last phone I just got, I added my 4 Google accounts (three personal, one work Google Apps) and set only two to sync calendars. Well I tried to pull up the calendar and it freezes. This was happening on the first two but I didn't think anything of it. Here is the question, have other people had problems with the Calendar app and more than 3 or 4 google accounts?
I'm noticing a trend that 4 accounts or more just kills the app - regardless of how many calendars you have set to sync. The people at the store couldn't believe it but I showed them as a fresh phone went into a blank screen in the calendar app and had to be rebooted to get it working.
So just to follow up on this. Found what the bug was after several days of trying something, resetting everything, going at it again! The Infuse has a bug that if you have multiple Gmail accounts and while adding them you turn off the calendar sync, it causes issues. The root of the issue is that "All Calendars" does not automatically get turned off when you deselect a calendar for sync. So if you don't want every calendar synced then do this:
1. Leave the calendar selected for sync when adding the account.
2. Go to Calendar app -> Menu button ->Settings
3. Calendars -> Uncheck "All Calendars" (This is the part that was getting me, this stays selected even when you don't sync all the calendars so its going for data that isn't available)
4. Select the calendars you want, then exit the calendar app.
5. Go back to the main Accounts and Sync and unselect sync for the calendars you don't want.
Just leaving this for anyone else that has this problem in the future - I lost hours of my life at the AT&T store and playing with this to get it working... hopefully someone else can just read this instead.
Hi guys,
This problem has been driving me nuts for the last week:
I love the HTC Clock on the ChaCha with Facebook messages underneath. Much more useful than the weather (Jeez! look out the window!)
Anyhoo, for the last week or so it's been saying "no recent updates" my daughter suggested I just didn't have any decent friends but no, pressing the panel takes me to loads of updates in HTC's Facebook app.
I've tried clearing the cache on Sense, toggling WiFi on and off, rebooting the phone. Still nothing
I can't see how I can get to any settings for the clock, it must hang off of something else but what?
Both the Facebook's own homepage widget and HTC's Friendstream both seem to be working fine. Hope someone can help!
Thanks,
Andy
Aha. I had this exact problem last week and made me realise how much I missed the feature. No end of rebooting, removing the widget / adding it again seemed to fix it. Then had a go a looking for other widgets to use instead, but I couldn't find anything that fit.
Anyway - the solution is to go:
Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > All
Scoot down to 'Facebook for HTC Sense'
First go 'Clear Cache' if that options on.
Second go 'Clear Data'
You'll get a pop up telling all data will be deleted, click OK.
How go back to home click on the Clock widget, go back.....
And hopefully, you're back in business!!!

Yay!
After reseting the data I had to re-authorise my "f" button and "**** about" a bit with the facebook app... then the little sync arrow appeared at the top and it all started working
Thanx!
Tried all of the above with Wifes phone and It didn't work, Then again she has like hundreds of facebook contacts through the stupid games she plays on there so maybe there is just too much info to sync with such a small amount of memory on the device, Anyway I don't care as its her phone lol
Hi,
I'm having the same problem.
I deleted the Facebook application. I installed again.
"Facebook" application, and the "Facebook for HTC Sense" I deleted the application data. But it was not the solution. Still does not update facebook widget.
How can I solve this problem?
Hey all, I've been having trouble with Messages on my Pixel 2 and curious if I'm alone (currently on version 3.9.039 but has been happening for 6+ months with previous versions too).
The pattern is the same every time, and happens almost daily. I'll type out a message into the box, hit the arrow to send, message disappears from the box (like it's sent), but then doesn't show up in the conversation. If I go back to my list of conversations, a portion of the message shows in the preview as if it's still a draft. But if I touch the thread to go back into it, there's nothing in the message box and it's still not showing up in the conversation. My only solution is to restart the entire device (forcing the app to quit and re-opening doesn't help). After a restart, go back into Messages, message still shows as a draft in that particular thread, but then when I touch it to go back into the conversation it now shows a portion of the message in the text box, I can finish what I intended to say, hit send, and all's normal.
It's quite maddening to have to regularly reboot just to get Messages to cooperate. I've tried searching around generally for tips, but this particular issue is hard to describe in a way that returns any useful hits.
Anyone else experience anything like this?
Thanks
I've been having the same issue. No idea how to fix it. Also running the latest Android Messages on a Pixel 2 on Google Fi.

I used to work for a large tech company. I installed the security software on my phone and gave permissions to enable me to accept email shortly after starting a new position with new management. My phone began acting interestingly (as did my superior and those who would have access to my phone's data). It began phantom vibrating (two short successive bursts) and it would randomly show a "Syncing Messages" notification icon for about 5 seconds at a time at random times when I would use the phone. After putting the "Notification Log" widget on my phone I learned that the short visual-notificationless phantom vibrate was a "Syncing Gmail" notification. I removed a certain email address from my phone and the phantom vibes ceased. The "Syncing Messages" notification, however, persists. And randomly sometimes, when switching apps, the icon used to represent the app in the menu will be a Android system icon instead of the app icon. This is completely random.
The people that would've had permissions over my phone are highly skilled programmers in Linux and what not. I know it's far fetched to think they would've hacked into my phone (and still are). For additional context, I once permanently deleted an old Facebook profile (not just from my phone but from the ether) using my phone and when I confirmed the deletion via an email that was sent to me, Facebook told me I had initiated the deletion FROM A LINUX DESKTOP.
Attached is a photo of the expanded "Syncing Messages" notification within "Notification Launcher".
I'm curious what you think. Any help is appreciated.
P.S. I was just reviewing this post and the page went to the white dropped connection webpage with the shrieking Android guy. Again, could be coincidence, but also maybe not.
