6x rooted - no official update? - Honor 6X Questions & Answers

yesterday my 6x got a new update notification. i downladed the update, but after reboot trwp startet and stopped flashing with error 7. Booting to trwp and flashing manual the update.zip causes the same error.
is it possible to update otherways? adb?

Why don't you just searched? This has been asked and answered many, many times. It's normal that it gives error 7 if you don't restore stock recovery before updating.

[Q] i tried to unroot, but failed!

hi all..
I need guidance..
Ok.. the story was, my Transformer was rooted, running on Prime firmware.
Recently i want to un-root, prior to update to 3.2. So, i followed this guide >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1154947.
Ok, the guide has 3 steps,
1. Install repacked firmware
2. Install recovery
3. Install stock firmware downloaded from Asus website
The thing is, after i done step 2, it failed in step 3! I dunno why, but it failed to flash the stock update fie. The "warning triangle" appear while flashing, it stucked there, so ihave to force reboot using the power button. It managed to boot, a message appear "update failed, the device was restored to previous firmware".
So, i guess my device was stucked in the "repacked" firmware. CWM recovery gone, but SU app remains. The device still running, but seems buggy.. i tried to reinstall the stock update several times, but stil failed. I gaved up for the day
Then, just now,i connected it to a wifi. Suddenly the device starts to download 3.2 update. I let it finished. Then, i install it. It works! Updates done. My device is on 3.2 now.
BUT, SU app is still there!
Now im not sure if im really on stock firmware 3.2 or not.
How to remove the SU app?
how to do a clean/complete restore to stock firmware?

[Q] Update failed B122SP06_B123SP03

Hi,
I'm trying to update my MT7-TL10 with the OTA update called "B122SP06_B123SP03". When the download is finished, the phone reboot into recovery and tries to install the update but fails after some seconds.
What I already did:
Flash original recovery
Unroot
Factory reset
Update with SD card: fail
Update with HiSuite: fail
What may be related with update failure:
I installed the xposed module and tried to change build.prop file some weeks ago.
The original recovery is not the right one maybe, how to know?
The current ROM is MT7-TL10V100R001CHNC00B122SP06
Thanks to anyone who can help

Cannot update phone - Wrong recovery?

Hi!
I've recently installed a stock recovery image after I wanted to update to 5.1 on my L09, and I've had problems installing updates ever since.
Whenever I select a local update to apply, the phone restarts, loads up the update and quickly reports an error message saying that the update could not be installed. I suspect that I might have installed the stock recovery of the L10 instead of the L09, and thus the updater isn't working as it should, since the recovery image I've flashed wasn't labelled in any way.
What else could be the issue, and is there a recovery.img of the L09 recovery out there somewhere?
Try this
Download the correct firmware of your Mate and use Hisuite to update it over PC, Usb debbugging turn on
I had the unlocked bootloader L10 with L09 recovery and It works

Lenovo A6000 failed to update Kraft-A6000_S056_150924_TO_Kraft-A6000_S058_151030_L2L

Hi Guys, Need some Help. I have successfully rooted my phone after lollipop update with twrp recovery and supersu. My phone is running Lollipop 5.0.2. Build number - Kraft-a6000_S056_150924.
So i got this update notification days ago (Kraft-A6000_S056_150924_TO_Kraft-A6000_S058_151030_L2L), and I have tried many times downloading the update and reboot the phone to proceed the update but it failed. I have tried manual downloading from the web (Kraft-A6000_S056_150924_TO_Kraft-A6000_S058_151030_L2L_WCB6.zip file which i hope it is the right file) so i place the file in my sd card, boot into recovery and apply update from sdcard but still it cannot successfully update. Then i tried update from adb from my pc and it shows this message
(Finding update Package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...Installing update...
E:Error in /sideload/package.zip
(status 15)
So i thought the problem is twrp recovery. So i flash Lenovo Lollipop Stock recovery. Switch on my Phone and unroot my phone then i switch off and i wipe cache partition and then data/factory reset. The phone still shows the same problem after downloading and update. So i check When i boot into recovery (volume up + volume down + power button), My phone shows Android System Recovery <3e> Kraft-A6000_S052_150825. Is this the Problem? does it mean i should flash lenovo rom recovery with the same build number to succesfully update to S058?

back to stock firmware. stuck on bootloop

Hello,
i have a Huawei Honor 6X (BLN-L21):
Multitool picture while phone is connected via fastboot:
ibb.co/Ykk6DdP
I had LineageOS 14.1 installed on my phone but I was missing some of the EMUI features. I decided to go back to EMUI (EMUI5.0). Everything worked fine. After that I wanted to install Magisk with this tutorial: How to install Magisk (xda)
After flashing the zip with TWRP the phone wanted a password for decrypting. I entered my normal screen lock pin. After checking it was saying that the password ist correct but my files were corrupted. I had to click on "reset phone" which was starting something like "factory reset lowlevel" but the same issue appeared after that.
I decided to get the firmware BLN-L21C432B382 with the Firmware Finder and I am having trouble to install that. First I wiped with TWRP then installed stock recovery and stock erecovery but when I try to force install the stock firmware, the installation gets stuck at 5% and then skips all the way to 100% and restarts. After the reboot I can see the Honor boot animation but it restarts before the normal screen appears. I guess this is called a bootloop. Any suggestions about it?
PS: I already tried to use erecovery to download the right firmware but its telling me "getting package info failed"
