[Q] Update failed B122SP06_B123SP03 - Ascend Mate 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I'm trying to update my MT7-TL10 with the OTA update called "B122SP06_B123SP03". When the download is finished, the phone reboot into recovery and tries to install the update but fails after some seconds.
What I already did:
Flash original recovery
Unroot
Factory reset
Update with SD card: fail
Update with HiSuite: fail
What may be related with update failure:
I installed the xposed module and tried to change build.prop file some weeks ago.
The original recovery is not the right one maybe, how to know?
The current ROM is MT7-TL10V100R001CHNC00B122SP06
Thanks to anyone who can help

[Q] i tried to unroot, but failed!

hi all..
I need guidance..
Ok.. the story was, my Transformer was rooted, running on Prime firmware.
Recently i want to un-root, prior to update to 3.2. So, i followed this guide >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1154947.
Ok, the guide has 3 steps,
1. Install repacked firmware
2. Install recovery
3. Install stock firmware downloaded from Asus website
The thing is, after i done step 2, it failed in step 3! I dunno why, but it failed to flash the stock update fie. The "warning triangle" appear while flashing, it stucked there, so ihave to force reboot using the power button. It managed to boot, a message appear "update failed, the device was restored to previous firmware".
So, i guess my device was stucked in the "repacked" firmware. CWM recovery gone, but SU app remains. The device still running, but seems buggy.. i tried to reinstall the stock update several times, but stil failed. I gaved up for the day
Then, just now,i connected it to a wifi. Suddenly the device starts to download 3.2 update. I let it finished. Then, i install it. It works! Updates done. My device is on 3.2 now.
BUT, SU app is still there!
Now im not sure if im really on stock firmware 3.2 or not.
How to remove the SU app?
how to do a clean/complete restore to stock firmware?

Did somebody have the same problem?
Hey, hope this help.
Install this from the play store
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tassadar.multirommgr
Use it ONLY to install the recovery at this stage.
After it's done reboot, make sure you're still rooted.
Apply update as per normal, should work with this new recovery .

If you're rooted, do not bother wasting time with OTA updates
Just download the full rooted stock ROM in android development and flash it without wipe from recovery.
It's actually fewer steps anyway.
OTA = revert system changes and/or kernel, reboot into recovery, flash the OTA , boot to bootloader, connect to pc, fastboot flash recovery, reboot into recovery, flash supersu.
Rooted stock = reboot into recovery, flash the ROM.
No brainer really. Flashing an OTA if rooted is a fool's errand.

Ota flash not working

I have a one plus one that is rooted and twrp v2.8.5.1 installed
In about phone it says I'm running 12.1-YOG4PAS1NO
The phone started telling me I have a system upgrade
I have been round the install update booting to twrp path twice
So I downloaded the .....1NO to ...2QL ota
Boot into TWRP and try to install the zip file and it says it can't do it as this device has one plus/bacon/A0001.44.2/KVT49L/XNPH2SR: User/release keys
What can I do?

I've come across this today (my OPO was rooted and I had TWRP installed), I was able to install the OTA via returning the OPO back to an unrooted stock build. You can easily do this via getting the 'Fastboot' zipped version of your current .....1NO build.
Once you have this, you only need to fastboot flash the following: - boot.img, recovery.img and system.img
After flashing just these three images, yes you'll loose root but you'll be able to OTA update to the ......2QL build via the normal phone method - hten if you want, you could then reflash a TWRP recovery and re-install a supersu.zip
One thing I forgot to add, which maybe helpful to others as it took me a moment to realise, both boot.img and recovery.img flash without issue, but due to it's size to flash the large system.img you'll probably need to brake it down into flashable chunks, notice the change in fastboot commands: -
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot -S 512M flash system system.img

OTAs can only be flashed through stock recovery..applicable to all devices
Hello,
on the same subject, I am looking for explanations on how to create twrp flashable files for ota updates. Do you know where I could find any resources?
Thx
I had the same issue while installing the incremental update (I got root and TWRP); I solved it simply installing the signed zip of ...2QL version which was pulled out yesterday afternoon. My only concern was about root that could be wipe away with the new installation, so I directly installed SuperSU via zip. Everything works fine till now

Lenovo A6000 failed to update Kraft-A6000_S056_150924_TO_Kraft-A6000_S058_151030_L2L

Hi Guys, Need some Help. I have successfully rooted my phone after lollipop update with twrp recovery and supersu. My phone is running Lollipop 5.0.2. Build number - Kraft-a6000_S056_150924.
So i got this update notification days ago (Kraft-A6000_S056_150924_TO_Kraft-A6000_S058_151030_L2L), and I have tried many times downloading the update and reboot the phone to proceed the update but it failed. I have tried manual downloading from the web (Kraft-A6000_S056_150924_TO_Kraft-A6000_S058_151030_L2L_WCB6.zip file which i hope it is the right file) so i place the file in my sd card, boot into recovery and apply update from sdcard but still it cannot successfully update. Then i tried update from adb from my pc and it shows this message
(Finding update Package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...Installing update...
E:Error in /sideload/package.zip
(status 15)
So i thought the problem is twrp recovery. So i flash Lenovo Lollipop Stock recovery. Switch on my Phone and unroot my phone then i switch off and i wipe cache partition and then data/factory reset. The phone still shows the same problem after downloading and update. So i check When i boot into recovery (volume up + volume down + power button), My phone shows Android System Recovery <3e> Kraft-A6000_S052_150825. Is this the Problem? does it mean i should flash lenovo rom recovery with the same build number to succesfully update to S058?

How to cancel update?

I accidentally clicked the notification to download the 7.1.1 update and then it started installing. I'm on step 1 of 2, shutdown the fphone. What do I do?
You can try booting into fastboot and install the stock image from here.
https://developers.google.com/android/images#sailfish
If that does not work or fails to install you may be stuck with the update.
