S9+ BSOD watch - Samsung Galaxy S9+ Guides, News, & Discussion

After having my Samsung Galaxy S9+ not more than a week, all of a sudden I've gotten a black screen of death. Giving it a charge and a soft reset makes it appear to go through the motions of rebooting in terms of vibration and the led indicator light, but the screen does not turn on at any point or respond to touch. It does not ring when phoned (straight to voicemail). The volume rocker makes the volume changing sound and the charging light goes red when it is charging, and windows detects it as a usb mtp device (without the filesystem showing up). Just thought I'd make a thread in case their Galaxy S9 or S9+ screen won't turn on.

I received a new replacement unit, as the problem was unfixable

Moto g 2nd generation display turns off

When I start my Moto G2 (XT1038) from cold, the entire boot animation plays and the home screen shows and the phone works fine. The moment the phone is locked and I press the power button to turn the screen on and entire my pin, the area near the microphone heats up rapidly to a point where I can not touch the spot for more than a few seconds. The screen stays blank though. After a few minutes of inactivity the area cools down. But if I try to turn the screen on the same thing happens. Meanwhile, I can hear the alarms I have set in my phone, go off at designated times, can hear the incoming phone call rings, SMS / message notifications, etc. But cannot get the screen to come on after the initial bootup. Can not turn off the phone either, same thing happens. Battery lasts as usual. No heating issues while charging. Any ideas why this might be happening? It is running Marshmellow at the moment, and the update happened many weeks before this issue. Auto-updates are turned off.
Not sure if I need to replace the display or battery or some other hardware.

S6 flashing bright screen problem

Hi I need some help I plugged in my S6 to gear vr I took it out after a while my screen went bright keeps flashing can't see anything besides bright screen can anyone help me thank you
Probably there's a bug in the VR app or something similar. You should definitely restart the device and it will revert back to it's normal state (press and hold the Volume down, Power and Home keys on the device for 10–20 seconds. This performs a simulated battery disconnect).

Dead Phone?

Since the end of November my phone screen has been blank. I have problems charging it because the cable has to be in a certain position for it to charge and with the screen blank I don't know if it's charging.
I sometimes see the blue blinking light but just the screen is black. I could tap and I would make sounds. Just the screen. Is there a fix? On youtube I searched and I didn't find working fixes.

Samsung S8+ suddenly died

hey,
all the sudden, my S8+ died but I'm not sure if it's bricked or the screen is dead. Please chip in your ideas.
Everything was fine and the screen got black, the phone was still working but the display didn't have anything on it. Top LED was OK.
I tried to restart the device from my memory thinking that it's a system bug and did it.
The phone didn't wake up after that, or maybe it did but I cannot see the screen.
Now, when I hold down the power and vol - key the phone vibrates but no LED or display
if I only hold the power key nothing happens, no led or vibrations.
the phone used to vibrate randomly when untouched with a blinking blue LED. I'm not sure if it still does.
my screen has a crack on top, what I'm thinking is that water got in and did stuff
I need to access my google authorization app, and that is the only reason why I want it to be repaired. But, if it's going to be formatted during the repair work, it just doesn't worth it anymore.

Hi there,
That happened to me too exactly the way it happened with you. I just had to change the display with digitizer that i bought online and now everything is working fine.

Google Pixel 2 Broken Screen + Possible Brick

So problem started when i dropped the phone and smashed the screen panel (i was sure when i removed the screen) however, the phone was responsive to fingerprint scanner and vibrated even when connected to my PC it showed it was connected but since the phone is locked i can't seem to access any files.
I left it overnight connected to the charger and woke up on a BEEPING sound from the device and power button didn't seem to stop the sound so what i did is power button + vol down and it stopped but now the phone is not responsive to the fingerprint and it won't vibrate.
I know that i have to order a screen (Egypt is not a supported country for repair) but is there any way to be the sure the phone is responsive to anything? I'd like to think that i am stuck on the recovery mode but since i have no screen on the phone i can't seem to exit it.
