I tried to flash COMBINATION_I535VRBLK3_I535VZWBLK3_381038_REV09_user_low_ship.tar.md5 and i fail. Ive tried different cables and different USB ports but i cant get odin to flash anything. Are you putting the .tar file in the PDA slot in Odin?
Is your phone in download mode?
What base was you phone when it was working? ICS or JB?
If ICS stick with flashing root66 ICS for now (not any bootchains or modems) so that we can focus of getting your phone working first before any type of upgrade.
Also, if you cannot restore your phone by simply flashing root66 in Odin, follow this guide HOW-TO Unbrick Your Soft-Bricked Galaxy S III

I am a base ICS and yes i have the phone in download mode, and i am using the pda slot but i cant get anything at all to flash sucessfully. That is the guide that i got the files from and i cant even get the first file to flash....
1.Open up ODIN
2.Select only the following box: F. Reset Time
3.Flash the VRALEC bootchain in the PDA section and wait for a PASS message
Thats where i get a fail message

Did you check your MD5's? Also, just confirming that you already tried to restore by flashing root66 .tar in PDA with only Auto Reboot and F. Reset checked off? Also, read the second post in that guide and see if your symptoms are similar to the guide's second brick scenario.

Yes, recovery wont boot but i can get into download mode, and i am using odin 3.07
Maybe this will help, i tried for the hell of it to boot normal and now it will go past the splash screen and come up to an "encryption failed" error with a reset button. The reset button does nothing..
have you tried getting into recover since the Odin flash failed?
Also, do you have Kies running on your computer? When using Odin, kies needs to be disabled.

A little different approach.

Try the VRBLK3 files (official vzw jb).
Yes i just tried again and nothing... and no i dont have kies even installed

That's the file you mentioned in the OP or the one I just pointed you to (different files)?
That last one was the file you pointed to me and yes they were different files, neither one work.
Flash this (stock bootchain) in PDA: http://truelinux.net/sch-i535/bootchains/BOOTLOADER_I535VRALF2_618049_REV09_user_low_ship.tar.md5
then download this (stock rom), unzip it, and flash in PDA:
http://goo.im/devs/invisiblek/i535/...535VZWALG1_743127_REV09_user_low_ship.tar.zip
Having so many files fail with an Odin flash makes me think the error is caused by something else, though...
What else could it be?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda premium
Honestly, we've reached the limit of my experience. Must issues with Odin result from the physical connection. I know you tried different cords and different ports. I assume you're doing this, but make sure your usb cable is plugged into a port on the motherboard, not a hub or remote port.
I honestly don't know what the next step is... Reinstall drivers and Odin?
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
Followed all tutorials and did some specific research but failed.
I downloaded the gt-s7582 official firmware, drivers, and all were successfully installed and flashed but still encountered firmware upgrade error.

Hello,
Are you certain that you have the correct firmware for your model number, carrier and region?
Try finding a copy of the PIT file for your model, maybe someone else with your device can help you with that.
Was/is USB debugging turned on in developer options?
Can you boot to stock recovery and factory reset and wipe cache partition, then flash the stock firmware via Odin.
Does your device have a locked bootloader? If so then you'll have to flash the same stock firmware the device had before the issues or a newer firmware, flashing an older version than what you already had probably won't work.

The first thing I would suggest is to go to the Verizon xda
forum in order to get the best help and useful suggestions.
The correct xda forum is located here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-galaxy-s7
Good luck, have a great day!
Did you install the correct USB drivers and what system do you use?
Also, by any chance, did you try different USB cables / ports? Sometimes the original cable is kinda funky on USB connections.

About 2 weeks ago my phone died dropping battery to 0%. And, after I plug the phone to charger, it started bootlooping.
I flashed the stock firmware using Odin and It was successful. I used the phone as normal until yesterday.

So I tried to flash the stock firmware again using Odin.
But not like before, It Failed to flash
