Sonx Xperia l Taoshan flash fail - General Questions and Answers

I flashed my Taoshan using this instructions :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/orig-development/rom-cyanogenmod-14-alpha-1-t3469162
So I downloaded all and place it on my sd card. Then turn off phone and boot into TWRP recovery.Factory reseted phone and 1st flashed rom.It says 2 times unknown command at the end but it says successful. Then flashed gapps for 7.1 and it says error code 70.So I know that I need to find smaller pack of gapps but I would do that later. Then I flash these all addons and fixes. If I remember correctly only 1 addon did not install. When I want to boot my phone to system it just vibrates and nothing on screen.Only black screen and if I only hold power button it vibrates every 5 seconds.Cant go to recovery or anything.I get my phone working back by connecting it with pc and sony companion program.Anyone know where I made mystake or any alternative roms to flash ? Also I cannot flash twrp on phone but I will success once.

[Q] Xperia U bootloop help

Hi
I am in a pretty messed up situation, since am noob i cant post directly to the development forum.
1. I had installed stock ICS .54 using PC companion
2. I installed CWM recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1948455
3. Installed Vision ROM v4
Everything was working fine till this point, after that I made a blunder. I wanted to try GB and downloaded GB-ROCKS rom from
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2139840
4. I booted into CWM recovery and flashed the GB-ROCKS rom (yea, i did not go back to stock GB kernel :-/ )
5. Booted GB-ROCKS but it was showing problems so I again went to CWM recovery mode and flashed Vision ROM v4 again
6. Now, I got bootloop, its stuck at XPERIA logo
How to get out of this?
I tried the following
1. I have downloaded the stock ICS ftf and Flashtool (Bin4ry), tried going to flashmode by following steps mentioned in http://xperiadev.wordpress.com/guidelines-xperia/flashtool-fastboot/
The problem is, phone logins always to CWM recovery mode, and from my PC flashing is stuck at the pop-up window saying "unplug USB, power off, hold volume down key and connect USB". No progress.
Please help me fix this
was able to boot into flash mode and flash the stock kernel as given from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2032226
I flashed ICS 6.1.1.B.1.10 ftf
but now, power up SONY logo comes up and then restarts.
CWM recovery is present even now, I tried installing from zip 'Vision ROM' again but did not help, it is still stuck at 'SONY' logo reboot
Any idea why this is happening?

flashing custom roms soft bricks everytime

Hello... I have an xperia j, that is fully updated running .31 fw. I followed this link -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2183737 to successfully root the phone. I then decided to try and install a custom rom. The steps I took are as follows;
1. download .zip rom and transfer to sd card (I tried all of the first 4 from this -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2237164 )
2. Open flashtool and flash the CWM boot.img (This worked fine)
3. Start phone in CWM (This worked fine)
4. wipe and factory reset the phone in CWM (This worked fine)
5. Install rom zip from external sdcard (This worked fine)
6. when it says it is successful, reboot phone, remove battery, put back in and turn on.
Every time, the phone vibrates to show it is powered up, but the screen remains black. The only difference was the aokp rom. This rom blinked the notification light at me red, and for a split second displayed a giant battery on the screen at boot, then the screen went blank.
Am I being stupid and missing a vital step?

I don't own an Xperia J myself but with CM10 based ROM's you have to flash a custom kernel for it to run. All 4 of the ROM's you tried need custom kernels. You NEED to read the install instructions given in the installation process of the ROM or else you will end up bricking your phone. You don't flash the boot.img from CWM either, you do it through command prompt or flashtool.
You definitely need to flash kernel

ahhh ok... i followed the instruction, for them all, but none ever mentioned flashing a kernel.. I have copy and pasted the instructions for CM10 below. They say to flash the boot.img with flashtool in fastboot to get to CWM. Then just install the zips in CWM. I take it the final stage is missing where I then need to flash the kernel?
Install instructions:
first time
- power off the phone:
- hold vol+ and plug usb to boot into fastboot (blu led)
- fastboot flash boot boot.img (from cm10 zip)
- fastboot reboot
- enter recovery, on boot led will be violet for 3'', during this period press vol+
- flash rom zip
- flash gapps zip
- wipe
- reboot

[Miro/ST23i] Flash proper baseband went wrong

Miro/ST23i
CWM recovery
CM 11 Alpha 2 Tamsui
I wanted to flash a proper baseband from the original ST23i firmware...
I used flashtool and excluded everything but baseband. I did not wipe data/chache.
Now I'm stuck with a phone trying to boot and powering off all the time. (small logo cyanogenmod for tamsui shows up)
I can reach go into recovery but reflash the zip does not work while the phone powers of during process.
And yes, the phone is on electric or attached to usb.
bizar is also that the root access seems to be gone.
I tried to reflash the zip.
I tried to bootload the boot.img
but either can not finish as the device goes into off mode after a minute or 3.
How to get a stable situation to rebuild?

Problem on the way to be solved. Thank-o-meter @flashtool @cmw

Well, well, well
Previously, you should put FXP cm12 rom zip file in your external sdcard
1. You should first load your boot.img file via Flashtool in fastboot mode (blue led, to get it, turn off phone, connect it to pc while you are pressing simultaneously vol + slowly) before start flashing a FXP CM rom (you can extract it from the fxp cm12 zip file)
2. After you inject the boot.img file, wait for an ok message in flashtool, disconnect the phone, close flashtool, turn on phone and press vol + or - repeteadly, the purple led will turn, the telephone should vibrate and you will enter into cwm recovery, after that, do the reglamentary wipes (data/factory reset, cache partition, dalvik cache) before flash the new rom, now, choose the zip file from the external card, install it, wait until if finishes, do the three wipes again, and finish up exiting of cwm recovery
3. The telephone should start the installation of the cm12 rom and around after 3-5 minutes, your lollipop will be done!
4. If none of the above works, please download and install XperiFim, download the stock rom according to your E3 model (D2202/12/03/06/43) and flash it via flashtool using flash mode (mode when green led on, to get it, turn off phone and connect it to the pc pressing simultaneosly vol - slowly (keep in mind this because it may enter in cwm mode) and after get again the stock rom, repeat steps 1-3 doing it well this time.
I hope that my instructions help you a lot!!
If you are not so desperated, wait until 2nd half of the year or 2016, because Lollipop will not ship it soon for medium and low-end 2014 xperia devices. We have the choice of AOSPing and use CM12, but not nothing official at this moment (20-02-2015)

Do you even tried your fabulous method?
Do you even know that CM12 for E3 is corrupted, any variant of E3 are working with this rom (D2202, D2203....)
And No nothing will be done for Xperia E3 this device is came out in September 2014, there almost 7months and atm there is nothing working/relevant (You will say AOSP to me but... AOSP don't have camera and there are a lot of bugs on it, so its not relevant)
About CM 12 I forgot this idea since a while, why? because there are no developpers interrested on this device.
If you want a nice custom ROM, put your E3 to trash and buy Xperia M2 or Z3, this forum for E3 is dead, that's all !
Hi @Exerath
I suggested that method because it worked on my other xperia device when installed CM, so i thought that installing CM in every xperia device will be the same thing (obviously keeping in mind device, kernel and CM version). I didn't know about bootloop in E3 running a broken CM12 rom.
Also i wasnt aware about cm12 being unstable for any E3 variant (D22XX) and nothing about failing camera in AOSP.
And please forget that idea, my device is not for the trash. I don´t care if there´s no official or unofficial lollipop version . Early or soon, somebody will take care of our devices
I´m so happy with my E3 and i wanna try to help :'( :"-(

Xperia L custom ROM can't install

Hi
I have rooted and unlock boat loader for my phone C2105 at 15.3.1.A.14
Installed thunderzap as per guide "http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/general/guide-to-running-android-lollipop-t3041413" however when I install zip (pa_taoshan-5.1-20150822.zip) or cm12.1 , it always hangs after "patching system image unconditionally"........
After this nothing happens and have to take battery off which makes phone soft bricked (does not go beyond SONY or in case of thunderzap stucks on its logo) and I have to flash ftf using flashtool.
This has happened repeatedly with cwm, twrp (installed using Recovery-Installer-1.8-XL).
Plz help!
download ThunderZap-4.1.zip. Extract the zip file take bootjbcwm.img. put your mobile to fastboot mode. power off ur mobile & connect ur mobile to pc while pressing volume up key. open flash tool click thunder icon(in top of the left side) click fastboot mode select extracted bootjbcwm.img. wait for 5 sec. unplug cable & power on ur mobile boot into recovery mode with pressing vom up key wipe data, cache, dalvik cache, install the rom wait for 5 to 10 min. reboot system
If it is still hangs at patching system image unconditionally may be the downloaded file was currupted.
