Hi
I am in a pretty messed up situation, since am noob i cant post directly to the development forum.
1. I had installed stock ICS .54 using PC companion
2. I installed CWM recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1948455
3. Installed Vision ROM v4
Everything was working fine till this point, after that I made a blunder. I wanted to try GB and downloaded GB-ROCKS rom from
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2139840
4. I booted into CWM recovery and flashed the GB-ROCKS rom (yea, i did not go back to stock GB kernel :-/ )
5. Booted GB-ROCKS but it was showing problems so I again went to CWM recovery mode and flashed Vision ROM v4 again
6. Now, I got bootloop, its stuck at XPERIA logo
How to get out of this?
I tried the following
1. I have downloaded the stock ICS ftf and Flashtool (Bin4ry), tried going to flashmode by following steps mentioned in http://xperiadev.wordpress.com/guidelines-xperia/flashtool-fastboot/
The problem is, phone logins always to CWM recovery mode, and from my PC flashing is stuck at the pop-up window saying "unplug USB, power off, hold volume down key and connect USB". No progress.
Please help me fix this
was able to boot into flash mode and flash the stock kernel as given from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2032226
I flashed ICS 6.1.1.B.1.10 ftf
but now, power up SONY logo comes up and then restarts.
CWM recovery is present even now, I tried installing from zip 'Vision ROM' again but did not help, it is still stuck at 'SONY' logo reboot
Any idea why this is happening?
I rooted my MT4GS a few months ago but stuck with the stock ROM. I decided I wanted to try out the CyanogenMod 9.1 ICS ROM. I followed the following steps:
1) Installed ROM Manager.
2) ROM Manager indicated a newer version of ClockworkMod Recovery and I installed it (5.0.2.7).
3) Using ROM Manager, did a full backup of the current ROM. All went well.
4) Using ROM Manager, downloaded and installed CyanogenMod 9.1.0 stable-doubleshot. I specified to wipe the data and cache partitions. The installation seemed to go normally.
When the phone rebooted, it was stuck at the logo screen. Had to remove the battery to turn it off. Tried a couple times, still the same.
Since I had the backup, I decided I would use CWM to restore the old ROM.
When I boot into recovery mode, it shows CWM 5.0.2.7, but whatever option I try to choose from the recovery menu, The screen just goes blank with the CWM logo in the middle and nothing else happens. Hitting the power button returns me to the menu, but no option works, even power down or reboot. It just goes back to the CWM logo again and I have to remove the battery to shut it down.
So, I thought I would try using fastboot to flash the ROM again. When I boot the phone into the boot loader and select fastboot, then plug the phone in via USB, nothing happens. Windows does not see the phone and ADB or fastboot don't see it either. It's not a driver issue, as the computer is still setup from when the computer was rooted and I connect the phone all the time with no problems.
When the phone is off and plugged into USB or the charger, I still get the charging light, though it goes off after about 10 seconds, then comes back on and cycles like that.
Is there anything I can try at this point, or is my phone bricked? It seems like I followed all the steps correctly. Is there an update.zip I can put in the root folder and see if it picks it up?
Any help would be appreciated.

Ok, after rebooting Windows, I was able to get the USB connection to the phone to work in fastboot. It seems I missed the step described in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1508556
which states with S-ON you must flash the boot.img separately. I did that via fastboot and the phone boots into cyanogenmod now.
However, I still seem to have the issue with clockwordmod recovery. As long as I do the recovery functions from rom manager, everything is fine, but when I manually boot into the recovery menu, I get the same behavior of any choice from the menu just blanks the screen except for the CWM logo and nothing happens. I tried reflashing the recovery image using fastboot, but still no go.

This is solved also. Seems on the MT4GS, the trackball is the selection button. The power button appears to only be a back button.
What a thread! Two nicely phrased problem definitions, two well explained solutions, and all from the same guy. Sorry we weren't able to help directly, but you obviously found the answers you needed elsewhere in the forum. And you updated the title as well to show it was solved. Thanks.
Hey guys!
So, i was trying to install CM13 unofficial version, and wiped the system and internal storage using TWRP recovery. I was supposed to install the rom from a zip file i had placed in the external memory card. What i did, was, i rebooted the phone by mistake, after wiping it from the recovery without installing the ROM and now the phone is caught in a bootloop. I know i am an idiot to do that. I tried removing the battery and reboot it in recovery mode using the key combination with no luck. It just starts the boot loop. I tried using fastboot and adb from pc to push files into the internal memory, but my device is not getting detected on the adb anymore (maybe the usb debugging is disabled now?).
What i guess is stopping TWRP recovery from showing up is the lack of twrp/themes folder in the internal memory since i wiped it. But there might be some other cause that i am unaware of. What do i do now? Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Hey! I'm having the same problem with my yu yureka.. Can anyone help me please!

Hi! I'm having the same problem with this post... Does anyone knows the solution of this problem. I'd be really glad if anyone could help me with this..please!
Hey are you able to boot into fastboot mode? If you can....
Prerequisites –
1. Make sure that you have 70-80% battery on your phone.
2. You need a PC and a USB cable to connect your phone to the PC.
3. Flashing the factory firmware will wipe all the data present in the internal memory. So, make a backup of that if you can.
4.Install all the necessary Device drivers.
DOWNLOADS -
1. Download the flash tools from here . http://www.mediafire.com/download/87gfz7mdch188an/Flashtools_For_Yu_Yureka.zip
2. Download the factory firmware from Here (cm 12.1) . http://builds.cyngn.com/factory/tomato/cm-12.1-YOG4PAS3JM-tomato-signed-fastboot.zip
Steps To Flash Factory Firmware –
1. Extract the flashtools zip in a new folder on the desktop.
2. Extract the factory firmware zip in the same folder and make sure that all of the flashtools files are also present.
3. Now, power off your phone. If you are stuck in a bootloop, then pull out the battery and reinsert it. (Do not switch on the phone.)
4. While pressing the Volume Up key, connect your phone to the PC with the help of a USB cable.
5. You should now see the fastboot logo on your device. If you did, leave the Volume Up key. (If you do not see the logo, retry the process.)
6. Now go to the folder where you extracted the flash tools and factory firmware and run the flash-all.bat by double clicking on it.
7. A command window will open and the flashing procedure will start. (Make sure that your device does not disconnect from your PC during the procedure.)
8. The command window will automatically close once the procedure is completed.
9. Disconnect your device and boot it up by pressing the Power button. (Since this is first boot after flashing the firmware, it may take upto 5 minutes.)
Done you should be back on cm 12.1

I flashed the factory image via YGDP tool as well as fastboot. But it boots upto a point and then goes in bootloop. Also if i wipe data/cache still it makes no difference. Also unlocked bootloader and twrp also don't load up. Again goes in bootloop.

Sorry to hear that anyway,
By stock lolipop you mean you had the yureka plus with Volte From factory right!!...if so the twrp might have been for the yureka plus with the cm bootloader which got replaced in the new Devcice
I am facing the same problem and in my case I dont think its an battery issue...I was happily using the CM 13.0 Snapshot Rom since a long time...but today morning when I did a soft reset by going into the settings in my yureka...the phone has gone in bootloop...and nothing is working...using fastboot I even flashed the twrp again and also flashed the CM 12.0 Stock firmware..but nothing is working...after the YU logo it restarts....please help...
I am also facing problem maybe worst

Ignore that and use other fastboot commands and go ahead, as your device is being detected in fastboot mode.

But when I am executing other fastboot commands it halts the process between with error "FAILED (remote: unknown command)".
I have read about this error and people suggested that I need to get into "Download mode" not "fastboot/bootload". To get into "download" mode I tried pressing "VoulumeDown+Power+Home", but nothing happened, it simply restarted the phone.
Please advise.

Hello
Having some issues with my phone
I was using a custom rom beforehand and decided to flash the official stock rom because of a mobile app game that wouldn't boot on the phone. Doing that got rid of twrp and opened the stock recovery. Whenever I tried to reboot the phone it would keep taking me to the stock recovery. From there I decided to do a wipe but it continued to take me to the stock recovery. Not sure what to do I fast booted a .img file I used for the previous custom rom I was using and that booted the phone to a point where it had official stock and was rooted but the game still didn't work. So when I rebooted into recovery mode the twrp recovery appeared but when I checked my files everything was gone. Whenever I tried to reboot the phone it would just continue to take me into twrp recovery. Also I couldn't move files while it was in twrp. So I decided to format everything and that fixed my issue of booting. Now the phone booted as normal even tho I had to go through the intro again. I downloaded the game and huzzah it worked just fine. I booted into recovery mode to make sure it would boot fine from recovery to the phone and it did, but whenever I told twrp to reboot it would say there is no os installed but it would boot fine. Next I decided to get magisk back and running. So I got the manager and download the .zip and booted twrp and flashed it. When I rebooted my phone I just get a blank screen. Nothing happens when I press anything and pressing power + vol up restarts the phone but it goes back into a blank screen.
Help?

OK here is some quick help: https://piunikaweb.com/2019/05/29/how-to-unbrick-oneplus-7-pro-using-msm-download-tool/
I've tried this but it doesn't work. Whenever I boot the program nothing shows up. I checked my ports and I have Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM8) which doesn't match the guide and I have no idea how to change the port.

The COM number actually doesn't matter, it will vary from pc to pc so yes it will work, nothing will show up on the phone screen its self, once u see HS-USB QDLoader 9008 open the msm tool and u will see it connect and start.
What custom ROM?
What game?
Which TWRP?
Which boot.img?
What firmware?
What everything?
How on earth can you expect anyone to help you when you decide to cloak your whole setup in mystery?
I fixed the issue. I didn't know about the button combo to boot into fastboot so when I did boot into fastboot I fastbooted into twrp and fixed everything from there
Hello, my problem is that I flash "Twrp_3.2.3-1_a750.tar" with ODIN in order to try and root my SM-A750FN device.
After I flash it and ODIN sais PASS, I get out of download mode and immediatly enter recovery mode. At that point the teamwin logo flashes on the screen and then the phone shuts down. The phone boots up again, tries to go into recovery mode again at which point it goes into a kind of bootloop to teamwin logo and after a few tries it just stays closed, doesnt take anymore commands (dl, recovery, etc.) and starts to heat up like he is still bootlooping just doesnt show on the screen. I let the battery drain, i go into download mode and install stock firmware. I know long story.
SHORT STORY: SM-A750FN wont go into TWRP recovery, when i try to go to recovery mode it bootloops to TWRP logo. I would like to solve this in order to root it.
I specify that i have changed the firmware(rom) on the device, the original one worked with TWRP, I tried the latest firmware I could find for two separete regions and both have the same behavior.
Thanks in advance!
Re-flash the original ROM to get rid off of the failed TWRP installation.
Hello, thanks for the answear. Do you have any idea where to get the original rom from? I dont have it anymore as i din't make a back-up before flashing the ones that i got from the internet. I already tried to flash 2 stock roms from the internet and they dont seem to work with twrp.
Request it from OEM / Carrier.
BTW: It's NOT the installed ROM that doesn't work with TWRP but it's TWRP that doesn't work with installed ROM. Take note that TWRP rewrites portions of installed ROM.
I see, so I should request it from Samsung? Also thanks for you answears, i think i'll try atleast one older ROM for my phone, maybe TWRP will work with that. Thanks!
