SM-A750FN (Sam. a7 2018) TWRP not loading - General Questions and Answers

Hello, my problem is that I flash "Twrp_3.2.3-1_a750.tar" with ODIN in order to try and root my SM-A750FN device.
After I flash it and ODIN sais PASS, I get out of download mode and immediatly enter recovery mode. At that point the teamwin logo flashes on the screen and then the phone shuts down. The phone boots up again, tries to go into recovery mode again at which point it goes into a kind of bootloop to teamwin logo and after a few tries it just stays closed, doesnt take anymore commands (dl, recovery, etc.) and starts to heat up like he is still bootlooping just doesnt show on the screen. I let the battery drain, i go into download mode and install stock firmware. I know long story.
SHORT STORY: SM-A750FN wont go into TWRP recovery, when i try to go to recovery mode it bootloops to TWRP logo. I would like to solve this in order to root it.
I specify that i have changed the firmware(rom) on the device, the original one worked with TWRP, I tried the latest firmware I could find for two separete regions and both have the same behavior.
Thanks in advance!

Re-flash the original ROM to get rid off of the failed TWRP installation.

Hello, thanks for the answear. Do you have any idea where to get the original rom from? I dont have it anymore as i din't make a back-up before flashing the ones that i got from the internet. I already tried to flash 2 stock roms from the internet and they dont seem to work with twrp.

Request it from OEM / Carrier.
BTW: It's NOT the installed ROM that doesn't work with TWRP but it's TWRP that doesn't work with installed ROM. Take note that TWRP rewrites portions of installed ROM.

I see, so I should request it from Samsung? Also thanks for you answears, i think i'll try atleast one older ROM for my phone, maybe TWRP will work with that. Thanks!

[Q] Cant flash and overwrite with stock rom on M919

I need help
I have a Tmobile Galaxy s4 M919.
After the 4.3 update, i am not able to completely flash a stock rom in order to have my phone working again.
Tried root, tried CWM ot TWRP, Odin stock, Kies, but every attempt got stuck for ever on the boot logo screen with blue letters on the left hand up corner saying recovery booting.
I can't access download mode but not recovery.
Only onceworked, and i could flash thru KIES and the download screen after that shown:
System Official Samsung
Binary Official.
After that i start to have an issue with SIMCARD non detected, and had to restart and never worked again.
Seems like Knox is dealing with custom rom or bootloader and keeps on bootlogo screen.
Any help will n]be very appreciated.

Best thing to do is use odin on your pc and get the stock rom from samsung or another source, then completly flash it so it will wipe out you phone completly and then reinstall stock. This happened to my m919. If you need more help on how to completly replace the stock rom using odin there are plenty of videos that show you step by step. You just soft bricked your phone so it's fixable.

I have flashed several times via odin and kies, but everytime i still with Binary Official and System Custom.
Seems like the flash does not overwrite the kies bootloader, thats why i am stuck on boot revovery.
Once it worked, the system and binary became official, then i flashed knox free stock rom via recovery.
As i told, i can acces download but not recovery.
Does anyone know any knox free stock rom flashable via odin???

After flashing stock rom, it still stuck on boot loop

My model number is SM-G920F, after the new update my phone has been having issues, recently it just got stickstuck on the boot screen and I can't even do a hard reset, I downloaded the latest stock rom to see if that will work, after flashing successfully phone restarts but it's right back to the boot loop, I tried couple more times with the same results, I don't know what to do from here, I am out of ideas, will appreciate a lot if someone can try to help me with this problem, thanks
You downloaded and flashed the stock via the update on the phone or you do it manually? You just bricked your phone. You should be able to get into download mode. Flash the Rom update through odin, making sure you flashed the right model
Updated through OTA, my phone is international I'm thinking it's Malaysia, which I did download the stock rom and flashed it though Odin with no luck, I don't know if I have to flash something before flashing the rom? Thanks for the reply back

You should have installed TWRP as a custom recovery first via Odin, then use TWRP to flash the ROM file.
Great how-to: how to root S6 5.1.1
If you're stuck on bootloop, try holding volume down button & power button at least 7 seconds, the phone should power off.
Put it in d/l mode then again, connect it to Odin and go ahead.
Good luck!
I tried that with no luck, I don't know what to do anymore? I ran out if ideas, thanks for the reply, any others that had same issue and got it fixed?
Have you tried the method on this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/help/sm-g920f-stuck-samsung-logo-5-1-1-update-t3150727
There's no way that I can get into recovery to wipe data & cache for the fist step, when I do try to go into recovery, the blue guy comes up and nothing happens, thanks for the reply
Did you figure out a solution? I'm in the same boat.

HELP! Bootloop after flashing TWRP

Hey folks,
my S10e (G970F) is bootlooping after flashing TWRP via Odin. The flashing process via Odin did PASS and I could enter TWRP afterwards because the file "Encryption_Disabler" needed to be installed while still in TWRP but I messed up since I've forgot to put that very specific file to the internal storage before and my PC doesn't seem to mount the S10e after being in recovery mode (TWRP). I was cursing myself and in a fit of distress I decided to reboot the S10e into system and that was when it doesn't boot past the SAMSUNG booting screen anymore. I'm stuck with bootlooping.
As for now, I can enter the download mode , my bootloader is unlocked and I'm back on stock recovery but the device deprives itself from booting up which resulted in a never ending bootloop. And let me tell you, bootlooping can cause extremely distress and you feel like sighing every other seconds because it keeps messing with your brain.
Can you guys help me out here? Thanks for your efforts!
I've managed to fix it myself. YAY! I'm happy!

Your mistake is you are letting it boot into system before you boot into recovery. It doesn't work like that, you obviously haven't carefully and completely read the instructions to install custom recovery via Odin.
You have to flash the recovery and then boot immediately into recovery BEFORE allowing the device to boot into any other mode, otherwise, it reverts back to stock recovery.
Here is the simplest way to do this without screwing it up.
When you flash the recovery in Odin, make sure the "autoreboot" option in Odin is UNCHECKED, then flash the recovery. When it is done flashing, disconnect the device from PC, then, you have two options, either remove the battery then immediately reinsert the battery then boot into recovery using the button combination or disconnect device from PC then power the device off then boot into recovery using the button combination.

From lineage recovery to TWRP recovery.

Hi everyone!
First I am not so versed in the flashing game, so bear with my incompetence please.
I recently tried to update my note 3 on lineageos 15 to 18.1, however, doing so, unbeknownst to me, TWRP was replaced by lineageos recovery. Now I have 18.1 and I want to install the gapps, but to do so, I was told I needed to wipe 3 things, dalvik an two other things, ... anyway, I can't do anything now that I have lineage recovery. To get TWRP, I tried to follow this precedure : https://www.droidwin.com/replace-lineageos-recovery-with-twrp/ but in vain. I get stuck at Step 2. point 3, where my phone goes into ODIN MODE with a droid saying downloading, do not turn off. and nothing gives then. Do you have any idea of something I can do to get TWRP back?
Samsung devices don't use fastboot to interact with the bootloader, instead they use something called Download Mode and a tool called ODIN. You need that tool installed to flash anything on the bootloader level. Proper instruction for your device can be found HERE.
Also as a side note, Your device has a unique boot sequence. Your device's Boot partition (also called ramdisk) houses part of the recovery and the Bootloader will try to overwrite it with the ROM's pre-bundeled Recovery as soon as it boots up. There are ways around that such as:
Your ROM should pre-bundle TWRP as a recovery (LOS has opted to include their own).
You patch the boot partiton as soon as you change it, meaning you have to boot straight to TWRP using key combination after flashing using ODIN so it does that for you.
So don't get frustrated if it doesn't stick and try again.
Awesome!! I had to get other instructions for using odin, the missing part in the link you gave me was "push AP and get the .tar from here and click start" other than that, I did what you said, (missed the first time, got lineage recovery instead of twrp, did it again by removing the battery after it booted from odin, and did the volume up + home + power) and I got TWRP back ! Wohoo!!
Thanks a lot.
And to whomever working on lineageOS reading this, please consider leaving the recovery part to Team Win, there is no point for us users to have a recovery with no wipe so no updating a ROM, as far as I understand the process... but what do I know...
Ok I now installed mindthegapps, and my phone goes to download mode when it reboots. so... do I have to re-instal the lineageOS rom after or before the gapps?
Ok I got it somehow! thanks.
