How to Use Pixel 2 Portrait Mod Camera In Moto g3/turbo ? - Moto G 2015 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I tried To Install Camera Nx But It's Not Installed Help Me.

it requires a 64 bit processor with special hardware inside, typically a subchip only found on the 800 series. Its unlikely the moto g will ever see a pixel camera port.

LG G Pro 2 goes official with 5.9" display and Android 4.4 KitKat

The new LG G Pro 2 sports a 5.9-inch Full HD (1080 x 1920) IPS display, weighs 172 grams, and measures 157.9 × 81.9 × 8.3 mm - and yet the Korean company calls it a smartphone, not a phablet. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat, coming with an “evolved” KnockOn feature called Knock Code. For the moment, the rough automatic translation of the press release announcing the handset doesn’t allow us to fully understand how the new feature works.
The G Pro 2 is LG’s first smartphone to offer a high-power 1W speaker, which should make it a multimedia powerhouse. The handset has a 2.1MP front-facing camera, and a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and OIS plus (an improved version of the Optical Image Stabilization which debuted on the LG G2 last year). The rear camera can record 4K Ultra HD (3840 x 2160) video. Other features: LTE-A connectivity, NFC, quad-core 2.26GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal memory, MicroSD card support, and a 3,200 battery (apparently removable).

How many of you impressed about G pro 2 ???
Back then, when the Optimus G was annouced, I was pretty impressed by the specs. Now though, I realise the lack in many aspects makes it a "second runner" in many point. The lack of update, even for bug correction and the lack of quality in certain apsects, like the camera software or audio rendering make it so that I won't be looking at "specs" only anymore.
Anyway, unless I can sell my OG a decent price to get a N5, I think I'll wait to see what will Lenovo do with Motorola.

moto g (2nd) vs Elephone P6000

I'm looking to buy a new device for me mum, which would you say is better?
both 5 inch HD screens. I would of easily gone with the moto g if it had 2gb ram. but the 1gb ram really puts me off. is there a similar phone as the moto g but with 2gb ram?
I can get the p6000 for £101 delivered.
Well, does your mum care software updates? If he cares, get Moto g. If not, i would pick p6000

Snapdragon usually means more battery efficient. Even with half the RAM, I think the Moto G (2nd Gen) is overall a more reliable and better quality product.
elephone p6000 screen glitches...
the elephone might seem a great steal for the first sight, i mean 4g lte, 2gb ram, 64-bit quad core and a 13mp camera.... but i would suggest a quick visit to their forums to know whats up as it has some unsmooth scrolling issues and no otg support plus e-compass glitches makes it an overall unreliable package, moto provides quality other chinese oems cant provide my friend.

yep, i've read on that, but the p6000 is one of the only chinese devices that have the stock google look. and i've read on how to fix the smooth scrolling issues. otg is not required, and the compass likewise. me mam just mainly uses phone to call, a lot of whatsapp with her friends (hence extra storage is needed) and watching videos. she doesn't browse much. and uses viber/skype/hangouts (those types of apps) nothing much else.
cubot x9!

ok i get ur point, btw check out a phone called cubot x9... it's an iphone 6 clone coming in at 6.9 mm a 8mp camera (interpolated to 13mp) and an 5mp front camera (8mp interpolated). If u wouldn't mind giving up on 4g then thats a good solid phone. i wanted to get it hence my moto g got hard bricked but i decided to just wait for the fix.

nope don't like the cpu, not good enough in my opinion. I've decided to scrap those two, and go for either a used galaxy s4 then flash the google play edition or get the zte blade s6 brand new from amazon for 170. the zte has snapdragon 615 and lollipop. would it be better to go for that?

ZTE Blade S6 is £160 here. There is no Gorilla Glass, but it looks like you need a case for this phone anyway since the actual house is fairly shoddy.

Vodafone smart ultra 6

Well i haven't seen a forum or topic on this amazing phone from vodafone with amazing specs below. The phone can also be unlocked from ebay for £3.75 confirmed by me as i have one.
Vodafone Smart Ultra 6 specifications:
Dimensions: 154 x 77 x 8.35mm
Weight: 159g
Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 MSM8939, octa-core
Display: 5.5 inch Full HD (1080 x 1920)
Storage: 16GB, microSD (up to 128GB)
Memory: 2GB of RAM
Camera: 13Mp rear-facing LED flash, 5Mp front-facing
Operating system: Android 5.0, Lollipop
Battery: 3000mAh
QUICK REVIEW
First impressions:
1) Nippy little phone. Good quality screen - both bright and clear with little reflection.
2) Like the buttons below the screen - particularly the glowing centre button when I have a notification
3) After using for a few hours last night, impossible (for me) to use one handed. Do enjoy having large screen, but the size of device may take some getting used to. Think for me, I'd prefer a maximum of a 5inch screen. Didn't come as a surprise though as knew it was same size as iPhone 6 Plus
4) Appears well built, with no flex. Impressed with quality.
5) Played Monument Valley and Sonic Rush - both appeared fairly quick (although loading times were long, this may have been software.)
5) Overall, an absolute bargain at £125 if you can cope with size.

If you just want to access your file system then you will need to enable the MTP setting in Settings / Storage. Click on the three dots in the top right to bring up the USB settings and enable MTP.
I have looked for the Android / ADB drivers on both the Vodafone site and ZTE's site without luck.
I'll think I'll get this one to replace my old and faulty S3.
Do you think in terms of development (custom recovery, custom roms) there will be some options available in the future?

Rooting working with kingroot but xposed needs to be installed via a custom recovery (i think?) and there isn't one for this device. the bootloader seems to be locked as I can only get the help command to work. shame because the device is brilliant for the money.
just picked up one today and phones damn impressive for the price considering the rest in the price bracket. I have found a few bugs mainly the light capacitive keys in blue flicker when installing a new app and when they black out , they have a time limit on them you can chose between off - always on in stages, and you hit the menu key for recent apps, the blue back light fails to come on but hit the home or back button and they all light up again.
I would like to hope this phone gets some dev attention due to the price point and how versatile it is, I'm sure it will be a popular handset for many given the lack of choices in this price range and the high spec provided for the price
Roms
Ok so I've uninstalled the bloatware and the phone is working great but I'm still curious as to whether you can flash ROMs on this that are for the zte blade s6 plus since its essentially just rebadged, would this be possible? Does anyone know does it work like that?

since the stock launcher is ridiculous i tried running Nova, but after rooting i got a bug of some sort: when you open the camera, i get an "unfortunately Gallery has stopped" error. Nova crashes and returns to the stock launcher. rebooting and reinstalling did not solve it.
I installed holo launcher HD and no problemas só far, im Aldo rooted.

Redmi Note 3 snapdragon variant announced.

http://en.miui.com/thread-208881-1-1.html
Anyone interested about this? I chose the mi4c simply for the snapdragon and i was very tempted by the fingerprint scanner.
Whats your opinion, would you chose this over the mi4c?
well, the cons compared to mi4c: 1. 5.0 lollipop vs 5.1 llp on mi4c 2. many people still prefer 5" devices and the mi4c is a lot smaller and lighter 3. mi4c supports proper fast charging with variable voltage 4. mi4c screen has superior contrast (1700:1 vs 950:1 on the redmi note 3 pro). pros compared to mi4c: 1. more screen real estate 2. better build quality, more of a looker, too 3. fingerprint sensor 4. better battery backup, although it should charge real slow 5. s650 is more or less on the same level of performance with the s808 (maybe a 5% difference in favor of the 650) 6. i still don't know about the camera, mi4c has a 1/3" 13mp, wide angle, f/2.0 sony imx258 sensor with phase detection af vs redmi note 3 pro with a 16mp f/2.0 pdaf, but we still don't know if it's a. a samsung isocell s5k2pxx 1/2.6" sensor (like the one on the s5) b. a sony imx234 1/2.6" (g4 etc) c. a sony imx298 1/2.8" (mate 8 etc) so it should perform either equally or better compared to mi4c 7. it's going to be cheaper than the mi4c !
i would buy the one with unlocked bootloader....
offtopic but may i ask why is there no thread section about redmi note 3 here in xda?

Seems like a nice phone, but the SoC is a littel outdated if you ask me, and the size of the phone is too big...
But for the price, it seems like a very good buy!

Sorry, I read it as SD 615.
It still is a good phone, even better now . No doubt. The screen is just too big for me.
I hate it. The SoC is better (BIG cluster uses A72 instead of A57), the GPU is better (proven by higher AnTuTu score), the rear camera resolution is bigger, the battery is bigger, the screen is bigger, full metal unibody, yet cheaper price. Damn you, xiaomi...

Xiaomi Mi4 worth getting in 2017?

I recently got my Nexus 6P (64GB) stolen and I'm thinking of getting the Mi4 since I'm on a tight budget. I'm also considering getting a Redmi 3S but it's a bit expensive compared to the Mi4 being an older device. I haven't used a custom rom ever since I used a Note 5, iPhone 6 Plus and Nexus 6P and I'm thinking of using a custom rom if I do get the Mi4. So do you guys think the Mi4 is still worth getting in 2017?
What i've heard, also camera in these new cheap ones is not as good as at launch with Sony sensor.
Snapdragon 801 seems plenty fast to me, I'm not trying to play VR games on my phone after all. Maybe some people are?

I've had a Oneplus One since shortly after they were released. Looking to upgrade eventually, once I can get something with: USB C, better battery life, better camera - for $300 or less.

Can't find other one with Google, too much results. IIRC it was in en.miui.com.
As a mi4 user myself, I do not recommend it this day. This device is very good incase of build quality and battery life but it is outdated. You can at least go for Mi4c ( if I'm not mistaken, the one with sd 808 and 3 gigs of ram ) It will get Nougat too in summer maybe.
still works fine
it all depends on your usage of the phone. If you're looking into playing games then the SD801 might be not enough any more. If you need all LTE bands working, the MI4 wouldn't be the right thing.
cons:
-- gpu performance not up to par with current gpu's
-- different versions of the phone without LTE or only band 1,3
- only qualcomm quick charge 2.0
pro:
++ 5 inch JDI IPS screen is still top (1080p)
++ 13MP rear camera with sony sensor (IMX214 with f 1,8), not many top devices can beat that.
++ 8MP front camera with sony sensor (IMX219 with f 1,8), not many top devices can beat that.
++ build quality is top
+ 3080mAh battery is good enough
for me the best thing is the community support: you still get all sorts of custom roms including the latest nougat updates (check the MI3 forum, they are mostly working for the MI4 too).

Sorry for the super late reply, been busy with my studies. Anyway I got myself a Redmi 4A instead due to unexpected circumstances that killed my budget (lol). I don't really play games on my phone so I guess this would do for now. I'll save up and probably get something better by the end of this year or earlier next year. Though the Redmi 4A battery life is pretty good but I do miss the large screen, stereo speakers, and camera of the 6P *sobs*
