Hi. Have the same device. But it's almost dead. No recowery((. ( Was updating via update.app on sd card but missed the sing that it's for my modification of model.
So now it's just flashes lights and connects too PC as some two ports. One is in download mode I think, QPST telling so.. athor I think for some backups.. But I don't know what to do about this ports.. even can't find native firmware.
Simple question is. can I somhow install recowery thru update.app file? Phone is still processing this file, becouse it creates update.log, but with error (maybe if original fw then it just helps, but I still can not find it) or where I can download or even buy native firmware updater?
Maybe is some software that can help thru PC? QPST is powerfull but I miss much knolage(((((((((
Appreciate help

https://www.dropbox.com/s/xcmmed4kmn90lry/Y210D stock firmware B869.7z?dl=0
here you are bro my CWM backup of version B869 for Y210D..Also here bro is my other things dumped stock recovery img for this phone flash it with fastboot https://www.dropbox.com/s/a2pltlxuse3sfpo/recovery210d.img?dl=0 also here are my bro adb and fastboot drivers for huawei if this ones dont work just install with kingoroot https://www.dropbox.com/s/37mn5bnkkg4fuh6/Huawei-ADB-FastBootdrivers.zip?dl=0
And use minimal adb and fastboot to do flashing with fastboot..To go into fastboot mode use this first disable fastboot in settings then turn off phone.remove bat, after 5 sec reinsert bat and then turn on phone and when huawei shows release power button and press and hold volume down for 10sec-whatever you think best then connect to pc phone with usb cable and to go to recovery do "adb reboot recovery" from adb or just do same as for fastboot but with pressing volume up instead of volume down button or power up with holding both power and volume up i really dont know but somehow figured out.But before all you know for sure that when youre restoring cwm backup you need to put into "sdcard/clockworkmod/backup" folder from that zip file when you unpack it you will find this folder with date in name and just put it there..And then before doing restore make sure you did wipe data, wipe catche, dalvik catche and format only sistem partition..Here is also https://www.dropbox.com/s/jygfnjygepl2jzd/cwm-oneclick-install.zip?dl=0 cwm recovery for this device

Is your FRP unlocked?
You can check by booting to fastboot mode.
Download minimal adb & fastboot installer. Install.
Put phone in fastboot mode by plugging in USB to computer and then start using power + vol down.
If it says FRP unlock its pretty easy to fix.
If not you could try factory reset from recovery, then back to fastboot mode and check if FRP is gone.
Check this and reply back.

If it just says that, and not FRP locked, you can use this guide to rebrand and/or get a working firmware.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-9/how-to/guide-mate-9-flash-update-package-t3593108
I realise it's the same hwota as OP posted but it's explained a little more in the release thread.
Does the bat give any errors?

Thanks to this post my Huawei mate 9 is finally working, tried restoring it for the past 3 weeks but nothing, this was the only method that worked for me, everything on the phone works perfectly except that my single Sim Sim now says it's a dual Sim(MEID showing a lot of zeros) , but I'm just glad it's working after all this time, thank you to everyone who helped

Hi
Please can you tell to me why when HWOTA wait my phone in TWRP mode do not detect my phone ? Thank you
Please help
My mate 9 had a security patch dated in April last year. I was trying to update it to a recent patch. I tried a couple OTA passages on FF, but none of them could finish and left me with a starting screen saying your phone failed for verification. So I tried a full OTA package ( don't remember the number more, but it's a package dated Jan 7th I think) that passed the access test in FF.
The whole process finished and screen showed update successful. But all of a sudden, instead of normal restart, the phone started a downgrade process and tried to install B567 back to my phone. Then it kept going to erecovery, but always showed recovery failed after downloading a package from server and trying to install it.
I don't want to void any warranty, only trying to reset it back to original state. Please help.

Flash the correct oem info for your device and follow instructions in case if it failed again post screenshot of the error.

Hi
Apology for late reply, if you got the unlock code try unlocking bootloader using hwota, and continue the process
BUT before proceeding make sure you noted correct unlock code, double check your imei, sno etc if something missing in your unlock code.

Hi,
If it is giving incorrect unlock code then confirm your imei, product id, serial number, get the unlock code from huawei developer page and save it as notepad and try again with hwota....check imei on product box , for some reason after rebranding device gives you some different imei.

the code is not incorrect and HWOTA doesnt say its incorrect it gets failed to write which is normal for every phone if they dont have it oem unlock enabled from developer options unless there is any other way around
needing file location clarification
