Is your FRP unlocked?
You can check by booting to fastboot mode.
Download minimal adb & fastboot installer. Install.
Put phone in fastboot mode by plugging in USB to computer and then start using power + vol down.
If it says FRP unlock its pretty easy to fix.
If not you could try factory reset from recovery, then back to fastboot mode and check if FRP is gone.
Check this and reply back.

If it just says that, and not FRP locked, you can use this guide to rebrand and/or get a working firmware.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-9/how-to/guide-mate-9-flash-update-package-t3593108
I realise it's the same hwota as OP posted but it's explained a little more in the release thread.
Does the bat give any errors?

Thanks to this post my Huawei mate 9 is finally working, tried restoring it for the past 3 weeks but nothing, this was the only method that worked for me, everything on the phone works perfectly except that my single Sim Sim now says it's a dual Sim(MEID showing a lot of zeros) , but I'm just glad it's working after all this time, thank you to everyone who helped

Hi
Please can you tell to me why when HWOTA wait my phone in TWRP mode do not detect my phone ? Thank you

Please help
My mate 9 had a security patch dated in April last year. I was trying to update it to a recent patch. I tried a couple OTA passages on FF, but none of them could finish and left me with a starting screen saying your phone failed for verification. So I tried a full OTA package ( don't remember the number more, but it's a package dated Jan 7th I think) that passed the access test in FF.
The whole process finished and screen showed update successful. But all of a sudden, instead of normal restart, the phone started a downgrade process and tried to install B567 back to my phone. Then it kept going to erecovery, but always showed recovery failed after downloading a package from server and trying to install it.
I don't want to void any warranty, only trying to reset it back to original state. Please help.

Hi
Have you check the oem info which you had flashed using HWOTA?
Flash the correct oem info for your device and follow instructions in case if it failed again post screenshot of the error.

Hi
Apology for late reply, if you got the unlock code try unlocking bootloader using hwota, and continue the process
BUT before proceeding make sure you noted correct unlock code, double check your imei, sno etc if something missing in your unlock code.

Hi,
If it is giving incorrect unlock code then confirm your imei, product id, serial number, get the unlock code from huawei developer page and save it as notepad and try again with hwota....check imei on product box , for some reason after rebranding device gives you some different imei.

the code is not incorrect and HWOTA doesnt say its incorrect it gets failed to write which is normal for every phone if they dont have it oem unlock enabled from developer options unless there is any other way around

Do these files go directly into the unzipped HWOTA folder? (you mention UPDATE folder?)
* Do these 3 files stay zipped?
* It doesn't seem to allow me to change the file names
* where is the "update.bat" file to open?

Hi, i find a solution,
actually i find a way to enter fastboot mode without inside of android os.
connect mate 7 to pc, while its connected press 3 buttons and hold,
it will open in recovery mode adb,
then command: fastboot bootloader
you are in fastboot.
But now i bricked it so bad mistakenly.
Its enters looped rescue mode but it doesnt connects to fastboot.
But i have find a solution for it too.
While its in bricked rescue mode press and hold Volume down + power buttons,
it will enters to fastboot mode.
Now i am trying to flash files to repair rescue mode but i still didnt find how to repair it...
If you are in fadtboot mode you should be able to flash the stock recovery (the correct one!!!) via adb command. Then try 3buttons procedure. Please be carefull with the sd card, since most of them don't work in 3b mode. Try several btand of SD.
i hope you get it to work again. good luck bro :good:

Hi,
I flashed stock: boot.img, recovery.img, custom.img, system.img and cache.img inside from fastboot mode but no luck...
It gives this error immediately after reboot:
Error!
Func NO: 12 (FUNC_LOAD_IOM3)
Error NO: 1
And can't enter 3 buttons upgrade procedure
I think some system files are missing and it doesnt boot or enter to recovery mode...
Its so sad there is not so much users and professional support about Mate 7. I find the ways to enter bootlader without entering the OS by myself.
But its so easy to brick the phone so all users be very careful when flashing recovery and wiping the phone. As for as i know there is no way to fix my problem even by Huawei technical services. (A guy from another forum, sent his bricked Mate7, they returned the money to him he tolds..)
I could'nt repair the phone so I returned it to seller, thanks for the seller's return policy 14 day no rules accepts return. So I sent my device to seller and returned my money back. I dont know which device should I get.
Good luck all.

Hi Ezerche. I'm so sorry your phone got bricked and you couldn't repair... I don't know how to root and I couldn't help you. What did you do wrong? I saw on this forum other users who had successfully rooted mate 7.
Now I think I will never root this phone, my 30 days return policy has expired. SO there was no way to repair your phone?
I found your problem on an chinese forum: https://translate.google.ro/transla....vmall.com/thread-3432260-1-1.html&edit-text=

You got lucky because you got your money back. What did you told them what happend with the phone? You told them the truth or something else?
If you can live without root you can get another mate 7.

Unable to Get Phone ID
I am unable to get my Honor 8 phone ID which I require to 'unlock' the bootloader as the phone will NOT start up into Android. It boots to the point where it asks for the Region, then Language, then WiFi, etc and then it goes back to the beginning, THUS Region, Language, WiFi, etc. but it never boots into Android as a result I am not able to check the Phone ID or to enable anything like USB debugging, etc.
What I have done to get to this point:
The phone updated > it seems like the update was unsuccessful as it got stuck in a loop where it would ONLY boot to the Huawei eRecovery.
Then I read a post to 'roll-back' to the earliest version (FRD-AL10...135) which I did and then from the SD Card installed the stock firmware (update.app) by using the Pwr+Volme UP+Volume Down buttons. It succeeded to install the stock firmware and ever since then I am stuck at the Region, Language, WiFi, Terms Agreement, etc - BUT it never gets past the selection - it just loops over and over.
I have again installed the stock firmware as above, but it fails to start and continuously gets stuck at the Region, Language, etc selections.
Could anyone please provide help if possible.
All the other posts I read, I need the 'bootloader' to be unlocked, BUT I am unable to get the Phone ID to get the UNLOCK code.
I have also read some posts which suggests I use 'adb' and 'fastboot' to 'recover' the phone to stock firmware, BUT I constantly get an error - "FAILED - Remote: Command not allowed".
So at this point I am not sure how to go any further.
PS: I have also had the phone to my local Huawei Service Centre, but they refuse to help me with the Honor 8 as I did not buy it in S-Africa.

It is impossible to determine which firmware the phone had before it broke as I imported the phone from China, and I did not have a reason to unlock the phone before it broke, hence the reason I did not have a need for the Product ID when the phone functioned properly, it is only after it broke that I had to have access to all this information in an attempt to get it back to a functioning state. That being said, the phone worked perfectly for a week until it did an OTA 'update', when the phone restarted I was presented with all kinds of trouble.
I have since been able to start the phone up in Android after I had to buy DC-Unlocker credits to get the phone to boot properly. UN-locking the phone via DC-Unlocker, unlocked the FRP and only thereafter I was able to unlock the bootloader and root the phone, and get access to USB debugging settings, etc.

[Guide] Unbrick Huawei P8 Lite 2017 / Honor 8 Lite With Locked FRP And Bootloader

Hi, I'm Youssef
My Story
A lot of people bricked their Honor 8 Lite / Huawei P8 Lite 2017 / Huawei GR3 2017
In my case I flashed an OEMinfo image from TWRP and it bricked my phone rendring it useless
Cause my Bootloader and FRP were Locked and TWRP was my Recovery but I couldn't access it
When I go to the eRecovery and try to Download Latest Version And Recovery it gave me an error that says Getting Package Info Failed
Also the Dload method doesn't work
I did a little bit of research and saw that the only way to restore my phone was by paying an application called DC Unlocker
But I found out a way to install the Frimware without errors from eRecovery
Prerequisites
•Any Android Device
•Router
•Your P8 Lite 2017 Has To Be Charged Fully
•Download Huawei Frimware Finder From Playstore
Instructions
1-Open Frimware Finder and press on add another model after that enter your phone's model
2-Choose the oldest frimware and make sure it's Full-OTA
3-Click on Get Update Via DNS
4-Click on Copy DNS Address
5-Click on Register Update
6-Go to your Router DNS Settings and type in it the DNS you received from Frimware Finder
7-Save the settings
8-Boot your P8 Lite 2017 to eRecovery and click on Download Latest Frimware And Recovery
9-It will find the frimware you chose from Frimware Finder after that go to your Router DNS Settings and Remove the DNS you pasted
10-Your phone will download the frimware normally and install it
Don't forget that thanks button.. It's Free
I don't have a router. I can only share the wifi hotspot of my other mobile to the bricked honor 8 lite. Is there any solution for me?
Will apps which change dns by proxy work?
@YoussefR
Everyone who has bricked his/her device and has given up hope,
Don't use DC Phoenix, this actually works, I fixed my 2-month-bricked phone with this. If anyone needs help following this guide, just PM me and I will try my best to help you.

another way to change dns of router:
#1. Enable "telnet" from control centre>programs...>turn windows features on/off
#2 Type this in windows+R dialogue:
"telnet xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" (your original dns)
Then hit enter, give it its username and password of router and run commands:
>dns config static 81.177.139.39 81.176.139.39
>save
(Or whatever firmware finder tells you to change it to)
Then reboot router.
Also, press egister update on firmware finder app (which is on another phone connected to the same wifi network) before changing dns, after changing dns before rebooting and after rebooting router (basically, press register update as many times as you can )
That's what worked for me.
Should i pick the oldest firmware or what I'm sorry?

Dude you literally saved my day.
This worked perfectly on a View10. I had the frp lock issue, no fastboot flash available, no adb, read only system in twrp, no working wifi and other stuff.
With the steps above i flashed the latest full working stock image.
Even FRP is unlocked now.
Thanks.

This can only be if you used the wrong Firmware, which doesn't match your device

You need premium flashing tool/service to solve that problem.
I did resolved exactly same bricked condition with DC Phoenix, paid services..
You can try Miracle/Sigma/others Huawei flasher box/tools.
My Phone is back
DC Phoenix was the right way, flashed with errors but it starts again and i can use erecovery.
Thanks
Hello, with this method, i still have "getting package info failed". Since i can't change DNS on my box (it's Orange, in France, and i'm not allowed to change DNS ...) i try to do this trough an old phone connected directly on mobile network, then share a connection with my view 10. I try to change DNS with DNS changer app, and put DNS give by Firmware Finder, but still have an error. Can someone help me ?
I think i choose the right firmware (BKL-L09, it's international version of honor view 10), but i've still have a doubt if i shoul chose C432 or C636 version... I can't have access to my phone, when i try to boot, he is stock on "wait a second" step.
Thx in advance for help
