What should i wipe before flashing the new oreo ftf?
Better Dont Update! Battery and performance worse in Oreo, also with heating Issue. I downgraded My XZs back to Nougat.

Guys, I got the OTA to android 5.0.2 about a week back, but I'm tired of the poor performance. Nova 3 is now unplayable at parts where transparency is used. So, I was thinking to revert back to KitKat 4.4.4.
>>Will the performance improve after the next update, i.e., 5.1??<<
The dilemma I'm facing now, is to whether flash back to stock KitKat 4.4.4, or to flash cyanogenmod 11 using cwm recovery. I also want to know which one of the two will be easier and less problematic.
Thank you.
I have a rooted s6 with custom recovery(TWRP) and custom rom(THE GRIFFIN) and my phone is draining really fast.
U can see in the picture that i attached below that at 1AM the phone was at 100% and i left it aside cz i went to sleep, i woke up at 7:40AM and the phone was at 53% and all the drain was because of ANDROID OS.
What should i do??
Try a clean flash of that ROM. (you will lose all data, so make a backup)
Also you can try Noble Nougat Experience... i'm experiencing 4,5h/5h screen on time & 3% battery drain over night.

I'm getting the same issue with stock nougat as well as noble nougat experience 3.0.
install wakelock detector or battery stats and check, what do not let your phone go into deep sleep
Ever since I upgraded my Verizon S8+ to firmware G955USQS1AQI6 two months ago, I have been noticing decreased battery life (last night my phone lost 22% with aod turned off, most of the drain coming from Android System and Android OS) and more stuttering in general, which is why I have been scared to install anymore updates on my phone. I want to downgrade to the G955USQU1AQGL firmware, which was what I had before installing the crippling update. The question is, if I flash the firmware to my phone from my computer using Odin, will I lose any data? I am asking because a factory reset is ABSOLUTELY the last thing I want to do for my phone.

Yes you will. No you can't do it without a factory reset.
Backup your stuff first
I have my Honor 6X and really enjoy. Furthermore its rooted fine with the stock rom intact otherwise. However I see it was to do the 4.1 to 5.0 EMUI update, so I wonder if I should or should not allow it to. A few reasons of concern is will it cause my to lose root, also as I am using Android 6.0 is this and update to 7.1 cause I frankly don't like some security issues Google added to Nougat, particularly the dm-verity crap, etc. I see some custom roms though for the device need the 5.0 EMUI to work, but I see people in threads trying to roll back to 4.1? So anyone have a good take on the best choice of what to do for the device to keep root, but keep the phone as awesome as it is now?
Personally, I'd update without thinking twice about. First of all, latest security patches ensure you from vulnerabilities like BlueBorn, KRACK, ecc. things that on Marshmallow you surely have not. Secondary, it's possible to root on Nougat too, so this isn't surely a problem... You update it, reflash Magisk/SuperSU and you're rooted again. Nougat have some more useful functions than marshmallow, like data saver for mobile data connection, a great ram management (i often have 2,25+GB free) and a better EMUI aspect.
Regarding custom ROMs argument, at the moment I'm still on stock to preserve better camera results, battery management and stability. There area few now, but everyone has some bugs here and there... So I'll remain on stock until there'll be stabler ROMs.
Which one should i flash with hurupdater? B510 or B512?
512... It was more newly approved internally..
I have installed both the versions. Did a clean install. Camera and sound wasn't working. There were some other graphical bugs and the battery life was just awful. I am back on B373 official.
