Have you used lucky patcher on Whatsapp? I would wipe Play Store Cache and the dalvik cache. If you've used lucky patcher on whatsapp you should revert any patches you may have applied.

Then don't worry about the lucky patcher thing, are you rooted and do you have a custom recovery?

Okay, have you tried going into*Settings>Apps and clearing cache or data on Google Play Services? Then reboot your device and report back

The other option I would recommend would be to root and flash a custom recovery, then flashing the dalvik cache. If that doesn't work then installing a custom ROM, but before that's an option I want to make sure we've used all other possible ways to fix it.

Thank you but rooting isn't on my plans because that was the reason I got a Nexus 5 vanilla Android. As well as that my bank apps will stop working.
Can't seem to find an explanation for this error.

Nope says app not installed.
Probably a factory reset would be an option???
But it is pain, reinstall and setup all again.

Hm, did you move any files to that nexus from a previous device that had Whatsapp installed? If so(or no, either way doesn't hurt to try), go into your internal storage and look for a folder named Android, then go into the folder Data. Look for the folder named com.whatsapp (or something similar) and delete the entire folder. Then try again.

There is no .WhatsApp folder.
After a Google search I found out that whatsapp does not run with Art but I changed to dalvik a few days ago so it should work.

Sorted my problem with whatsapp, only with a factory reset.
Thanks for all the help.

Is there a way to wipe the data of just the Google apps and not a full factory reset?

Try clearing cache and dalvik also.
Just clearing the app data from settings was enough and seems to have fixed the problem, but i also do appreciate the advice about cache and dalvik from recovery as well

Stuck in "android is starting optimizing app 1 of 1" every reboot. How to find app?
*solved* Stuck in "android is starting optimizing app 1 of 1" every reboot. How can I find the app that is causing this issue? Is there a log somewhere?:crying:
Try a factory reset. If all else fails, reflash the ROM again.

It will eventually load after about 15 minutes. I'd rather just find the offending app.

Did you install any app prior to this issue?
Sent from my Moto E using Tapatalk
No, installed a kernel update. Actually using titanium backup and clearing all app caches fixed the issue. Pretty sure I tracked it down to the LUX app as well. Everything works now as it should. Funny though because clearing dalvik and cache in recovery did not fix the issue.
Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk
Fixed, only by clearing all cache with titanium backup
