Have you tried clearing data on the Google play app?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

Will try and post results thank you

Try clearing cache and dalvik also.

Just clearing the app data from settings was enough and seems to have fixed the problem, but i also do appreciate the advice about cache and dalvik from recovery as well

Tapatalk and xda premium not working properly

Hi guys, well as the title says I'm having issues with both tapatalk pro and xda premium apps, both are latest update just update them from market today, also I'm using braimaster's ICS rom , matrix kernal 13.0 and my phone is a 9020a...
Well the issue is the following using tapatalk pro I'm able to open the app, and browse through all the sections but if I open a thread and then I try to go back, it take me to home page (where you see all sections) instead of the specific section I am.
From other side using XDA premium, I'm able to browse through forums as well, but again if I open a thread and try to go back it actually close the app and it take me back to either launcher or drawer..
No FC...
What can I do?? Is it a known issue??
P.S: I tried to uninstall the apps and then reinstalled them back, clear data, reinstall from from scratch but I always have same issue with both apps
Any help will be really appreciate it

I get that occasionally but it seems to go away on its own. No problems here on transparent blue Tapatalk or XDA Premium right now though. Did you try a reboot? If so, did toy try a cache and dalvik wipe and reboot?

Playstore

So, with a clean wipe and everything, every time I try to switch to a new ROM, the Playstore will forceclose on me every time no matter what ROM and what Playstore I try. Help, please?

Are you restoring any apps or data from a backup? Try clearing cache and data for the play store and see if it helps

Nope, I didn't. I'm just staying on one ROM for now if I flash a new ROM and restore data from a different one it will work, but then there's some problems that occur from restoring the data, you know?

Try this go to applications/Google play the clear data/catch then uninstall updates. Let it recalculate the app then try opening play store from app drawer. If it works it will reupdate the play store once you enter.
If that don't work then maybe time for a super wipe.

Yeah, that didn't work. There's not even an update to uninstall. And whenever I open the app, it doesn't even load or anything. It just goes caput

Have you edited the lcd density at all? Did you uninstall or freeze any system apps that play store uses? Do you have system apps that you restored from earlier roms that were on different Android builds? Is your recovery and su app up to date?
This is what I'd try:
Go to app manager then all apps clear data and cache from Google services framework and play store. Reboot.
If that didn't work then id reboot to recovery then format system then advanced restore the system from a nandroid. Next wipe cache/dalvik and fix permissions, reboot.
Obviously, have/create a back up before hand

As soon as I flash any ROM, right when I sign into my Google account it force closes right away. I've tried clearing data and such.

Okay, I am thoroughly befuddled now. I odined back to stock and the issue is still there. The playstore immediately force closes upon signing into my Gmail. The only way I can flash a new ROM is if I restore data from another ROM which is no bueno

Have you used lucky patcher on Whatsapp? I would wipe Play Store Cache and the dalvik cache. If you've used lucky patcher on whatsapp you should revert any patches you may have applied.

The other option I would recommend would be to root and flash a custom recovery, then flashing the dalvik cache. If that doesn't work then installing a custom ROM, but before that's an option I want to make sure we've used all other possible ways to fix it.

Thank you but rooting isn't on my plans because that was the reason I got a Nexus 5 vanilla Android. As well as that my bank apps will stop working.
Can't seem to find an explanation for this error.

Nope says app not installed.
Probably a factory reset would be an option???
But it is pain, reinstall and setup all again.

Hm, did you move any files to that nexus from a previous device that had Whatsapp installed? If so(or no, either way doesn't hurt to try), go into your internal storage and look for a folder named Android, then go into the folder Data. Look for the folder named com.whatsapp (or something similar) and delete the entire folder. Then try again.

There is no .WhatsApp folder.
After a Google search I found out that whatsapp does not run with Art but I changed to dalvik a few days ago so it should work.

Then try with another package like TK-GApps (and another custom rom).
Definitely not hardware related.
