device.exe error report on open keyboard

Hey everyone,
I bought this phone yesterday on o2 (XDA Serra). I like the phone and have quickly got used to it.
There is just one problem that is bugging me however. If I have the keyboard shut and I am running an application and then I decide to open the keyboard an error report with device.exe is generated.
I can simply click away the error and continue as normal, but this is quite an annoying bug. Does anyone know of any fix to this or anything I can try that may help?
I haven't gone through the process of setting up all my phone yet, so resetting isn't a problem.
Thanks in advance,
Andy
I too am having this problem. It just suddenly started to happen today. The soft keyboard is unusable and the bottom half is cut off. Anyone know how to fix this?
Well mine has stopped doing it now. It would appear it fixed itself.
I am having the same problems on my 3 week old Serra all the time. Every time I start typing I get the error report caused by device.exe 2 or 3 times in a row, then it is fine for a while.
Anyone have any ideas on fixing this?
Thanks
Ignorance is bliss ....
Hi,
i've had similar problems with my O2 Serra when i first got it ... It got that annoying that i turned off the error reporting as the keyboard still works after that error is given ... or at least that was the case on my Serra ... i got allsorts of errors when i first got the phone but found that everything still works fine even after the error came up ...
Not really a fix i know but it stops the errors displaying on screen ... ;-)

[Q] com-android.phone has stopped

Hi, I've had my 1+ for about a month now running on stock (but rooted). Today my phone has been showing the "Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped" dialog. I click ok and the signal is lost. Few seconds later signal reappears but then dialog pops up again. It only started this morning. I haven't changed anything or flashed any fw or basebands.
It's a bit of concern. I've got a phone interview this afternoon and I really don't want the phone to cut out during it!!!
Does anyone know of how this happens and what mighht be done to resolve the problem. I'd rather not have to do a reset.
Many thanks.
Update: I seem to have resolved the issue by flushing the cache and data + force closing all phone/txt/contact apps. I also flashed a different modem for good measure. So far (over an hour now) I've not had the message come back. I suspect there was some conflict somewhere with the afore mentioned apps.
I have this issue after 1 week with the phone.
Same problem as yours, I only rooted the phone still running Stock 11S.
This problem happens this morning out of no where.
Been foreclosing all these apps and clear cache/data and hopefully it'll fix it...

Random freeze and reboot

Hi all, any of you experiencing random freezes and reboots on your one plus 6 8gb? I have tried hard reset and reflash of oxygen is rom via local update but it's still the same. It doesn't happen while opening specific apps. It's just happens randomly while using the phone. I have also tried reinstalling all the apps and it's the same. I am on oxygen os 5.1.11.
Advice appreciated. Thanks!
Seems to be plaguing several people, it happens to me and other users on XDA if you look around. I need the phone for work had have no spare, otherwise I would send it back for a replacement, if that even fixes it...
I had that too before sending back mine, I went back on 5.1.9 and the freezing stopped.
Try that, if you haven't already.

Software issues persisting after reset

TL;DR: Audio/video freeze on my phone even after factory reset. Flashing new ROM solves the issue except when I start certain apps which causes it to reoccur until I restart the phone.
I have a Poco X3 NFC and shortly after requesting to unlock bootloader I stared having a bug where whenever I played media (spotify, youtube, netflix, etc), the audio and video would stop/stutter every few seconds. The issue occurred both on speakers and bluetooth. After trying unsuccessfully to solve the issue I factory reset the phone and thought that would be it. However even after a factory reset I was still unable to play videos or music. I then tried the next best thing. I flashed the stock fastboot ROM from my computer using the Mi Flash Tool but the issue still continued.
Thinking it could be a problem with MIUI itself I then flashed TWRP and installed ArrowOS with the Optimus Drunk Kernel which greatly helped performance and battery life. For a little while the issue seemed gone but after opening facebook messenger I started having the same issue. A bit of experimenting revealed that some messaging apps like facebook messenger and the dialer caused the issue to reoccur until I restarted the phone and it worked again.
My only theory is that somehow a low level program like the bootloader somehow got corrupted and causes this issue when my messaging apps are running something in the background (although the issue continues after force stopping those apps). Does anyone have any thoughts on this issue or ideas how I can fix it?
