[APP][4.0+] WallBox v1.3.2

Update v1.3.2 of my WallBox app is now available for download. Please download and let me know what you think. It is a free app that will help with editing wallpapers, with a nice, themed interface. I have added 3 themes, much more fluid design, simple features like generating random values when editing the hue, saturation, brightness and contrast to give you even greater control of your wallpapers!

Latest version of WallBox is being pushed out. Now v1.2.1 fixes issues with selecting a theme and also fixes issues handling custom color codes on colorwall. You should start seeing these updates very soon.

Any chance you could upload the apk to the OP? Mainly because people without access to the Play Store cannot get this otherwise. Thanks man.

I understand. I did like it as well, but in order to prep for a few other things that I am working on, it was going to be in the way. It was also using another external library to preform that action. I have chosen to remove third party libs and work directly with the android sdk and guidelines. I hope it doesn't cause too much trouble.

OP, this is a pretty nifty app. Have you considered adding blurring functionality, a la Blrrr/Blur: http://blrrr.com/ . It's an iOS-only app that lets you apply a Gaussian blur to any photo you choose to make a nice-looking blurred wall that works well with iOS 7's new look. I've been looking for an equivalent app on Android for my Nexus 4, since I like the blurred aesthetic in general.

I'll give it a go and report to you back.

I download any wall, I go to the download section, I tell it to apply and it just sets the default green leaf android wallpaper instead

I love it!! it is the only app that doesn't use tons of memory for a simple task. Nice work, please keep improving your already great work!

Hello. I am sorry you are seeing issues. Would you be able to send me a log? Have you tried with other wallpapers? I am wondering if maybe there is a bad download. If it tries to apply a wallpaper that isn't fully downloaded you might get that. Let me check into it.

I have updated wallbox once again to version 1.3.2 I have added in blur to wallsnap and now allow you to edit wallsnap image without messing with your current wallpaper. Check it out and please leave me some feedback!

but it was after i closed color picker(i opened it, choosed the file,it worked, but then when i pressed back button = fc)
Edit: the n7 is not rooted and its running 4.4.2(r1)

I used the apk provided (version 1.6). All tools provided work well on my N4 :good: . Non rooted and running vanilla android. Particularly I love the compass. So simple and functional. No issues with the color picker too. Those having issues with the color picker can try using the apk provided in one of the previous threads in this conv. Also, try restarting your device once. Restarts work like a charm in resolving most issues.

This app help fix SIII Gyroscope accuracy or just let me see the sensors?Please can you add calibrate or i need to send my SIII to repair?

Just bought the Pro version as I am impressed with your work
Do you plan to add multi-core infos (activities, frequencies,...) ?
Is there a way to record all the infos ? Live or in background ?
It can be interresting to record infos (bearing, GPS, Gyroscope) in, for exemple, CVS format.
A possible use would be recording a car race and get stats by lap
It could be usefull too to record frequencies of CPUs.
I tested all functions and all work flawlessly on my Xperia Z (see details in my signature).
Just noticed it is possible to stop sampling by touching the screen but cannot resume sampling the same way...
BTW : if you need translation in French, feel free to send a list

I am working on a recording feature but it will take some time as my main priority currently is for fixing bugs on some devices and optimizing for tablets.
Also stop sampling is a way to review the sensor values on tap however it is impossible to resume the values from there tapping again to resume will reset the graph to initial values so that why I didn't integrate it.

I just started using this, very nice. It works on my galaxy tab 3 7.0 with Goodness ROM but not on my HTC ONE running ViperOne. The HTC is where I really want to use it but it uses a custom kernel. I will send them a message about it but I dont know how much they will do, they are some busy people working on a great ROM. Nice app for anyone who never has enough information about their device!

Maybe people dont know about it. I just happened to read the article on XDA which I almost never do. Also a lot of people are using custom kernels. If they get the message about contacting rom developer they may not go any further. I am not sure what needs to done by the developer to get this app to work with their custom kernals but it would be cool. Im sure they get tons of requests.

Maybe something else could be causing the issue on HTC one with custom kernel?
There shouldnt be a issue with app not working with custom kernels.
Anyone else can confirm if they are able to use to use the app with custom kernels?

App works great on custom rom and kernel. Also using xprivacy and we'll obviously app needs access to sensors but no problem or fcs. Haven't used color picker yet (kinda not sure what it's for but I'll just play around I just downloaded it) great work!

Tried the latest pn mod build
First time user with substratum and have to say amazing and really impressed and looking forward to the development of themes and its stability
I tried 3 themes
Bio hazard domination and mono
Few things i have noticed
1. i applied fonts from bio theme and nothing happened, tried 3 fonts from the theme and nothing happened although it said font applied even restarted system ui but font was the stock one
Not sure its a theme issue or substratum
2. When i applied a overlay no matter what the theme be i noticed this thing
When i opened the settings it opened just fine i mean themed and all
But for example when i opened the dialer it would load in that blue white color that is the stock theme and will then change the theme for example to the dark one when i applied mono
But this all happens in a duration of fraction a second but is noticeable
Also if I had that app in memory then it loads fine with the dark theme but when i remove it from memory and have to load it again then it behaves as described
Also don't know whether it's theme or substratum 3 themes i tried all of them didn't themed my nav bar or status bar or status bar icon, also in the screenshots for mono and bio for Layers it has themed status bar icons and nav bar so not sure about this
Other than that one more thing when i chose to revert back to the stock theme by choosing the option in the app i get a dialogue box saying play store has fc play services fc and few more apps can't remember which one but also included titanium backup in the fc as well
Also when the overlays are uninstalled and reverted back to the stock theme the phone gets laggish for a second or two i mean lag in animations for example not that if i open the dialer it will open it a bit late thats lag but if i open the dialer it opens it instantly but the it's like it's struggling in the opening animation
That's all what i can remember

One more bug: whichever theme i aplied, flashlight icon from quick settings disappear

No problems with flashlight tile
Never had them on Mono or Spectrum

Magisk Mod to enable AOD, and Change Accent Color

Hey folks i ported some features from aosp GSI's that will now work on our phone's stock rom. All you have to do is flash this mod in magisk and voila, you have working aod, and the ability to change your accent colors to whatever color you like. There are also some build prop edits i have been testing that indeed help your stock experience. Huge thanks to @aer0zer0 for wrapping this all up in a sweet package a la magisk mod. I was just gunna post it up and tell you all to copy it to here and copy it to there... He has the polish...thanks man! With average use using aod with the elite kernel only cut down my sot from 7hrs to about 4.. stock kernel was a little worse but not by much.

@aer0zer0 updated the mod to fix the padding issue.. and cleaned up the prop edits, so one can see what each edit does.

You are welcome, and i have some more cool stuff coming as well in the coming weeks.. I was going to release it as a rom/port but the gsi is still too unstable. Here is what is coming next:
3 finger gesture screenshot mod
a better native dark theme for settings and eventually notifications too
Nav bar goodies
I had little success in activating some dormant features within the system UI, due to the recompilation not wanting to play well with pie, but i did find quite a few cool things that we will be able to utilize once i find an updated apk tool that actually works. I always can decompile it fine but the recompilation messes up.. i may just build us a modded stock rom from source as its much easier to cherry pick or modify the existing source then bust up apks and put em back together...

Let me know if you need real testing and bug reports... I have a logcat app and am not afraid to use it...

EDIT2: rather than building a whole ROM... You can always do a Cataclysm and just build the apps you wish to modify... He was notorious for a services.jar, framework-res.apk, and a settings.apk and could have 90% of the features of most source built ROMs

Your mod... At least when changing colors... Messes up stats bar icon padding...
It moves all icons a few pixels up in the stats bar...

Also,for those of you that want to permanently enable the system UI tuner. (Need root, but if your flashing magisk mods, you have root).
Get a terminal app, like material terminal. Copy and paste each command in and press enter.
adb shell su -c pm enable com.android.systemui/.tuner.TunerActivity
adb shell am start com.android.systemui/.tuner.TunerActivity
This will enable stock system tuner.

I've never tried to hide the clock. I turn seconds on though.

Can I ask what font do you have installed

I like the cataclysm idea..im just used to building roms. My shamu builds are still popular..on build prop, one improves the dark mode, one allows any pictures including use from google photos to be used as wallpaper without downloading. Another one enables fast reboot..drops a reboot from 28seconds or so to 14 i think...so half the time.. and one is scrolling fix...i forget what else..

Try hide clock, it only remains hidden for a little while... Does this on stock, with no mods.

Fast reboot has to do with power off...
My HTC Vivid had this... And in order to get to fastboot or recovery... As the device was shipped... You had to pull the battery... Otherwise when you powered the device on it immediately went to the desktop... Kinda like the power off standby in Windows...

This mod seems to disable my fingerprint sensor when it's enabled. It just won't let me open the lock screen with it, and it removes the entry from settings.

Not the mod. Has nothing to do with security.mine works fine.

I have used this widget from Beautiful Widgets for the past few years. Currently the time isn't auto updating on the N20, despite changing the settings.
Are there any similar or better apps or widgets to this? Specifically I need something that I can customise it and add shortcuts to several apps.

Try whitelisting the app in the battery settings. If you have power mode on, it might be hindering the update. I had a similar issue with different app and this helped.

Yeah, second this right here. Completely customizable, love it. Lot like that older app, UCCW. You can make something super simple, or extremely complex. Up to you. I'd share my homescreen widget if Tapatalk would let me upload a dang image.

Yea I tried whitelisting it under the battery and memory settings. Widget still only updates when I first unlock my phone, if I resize the widget, or if I open the BW app. The developer explicitly says that the app is not meant to work with newer versions of Android but they're not providing support any longer
