Hi all,
I have a Lenovo Phab Plus. I'm satisfied with it, but there is a huge problem: sometimes the phone does not ring when incoming calls, so I miss all of it. When I reboot the phone the problem is gone, but after some time it's come back again.
The phone has the latest firmware (5.1.1, PB1-770M_160923) and rooted by this tutorial.
Is anyone ever noticed this problem? Is there any solution for this? If isn't, there's any way to remove root and restore the original recovery? My phone is still a guarantee and I think the servicing people will laugh heavily when they see the TWRP...
Thanks,
Beren
I've made a catlog save to determine if cause of the error is visible in there or not. But I'm not expert so can't see anything. Anybody?
In the ZIP I sorted out the messages by level (debug, info, warning, error - there wasn't fatal), but there's an original file too.

I am on my third one and now my 30 days are over so I'm stuck with it and if I return it based on warranty help I get a remanufactured one but I am having some really annoying problems. I have searched these forums but frankly they are very complicated and you all seem very advanced and technical and it's very confusing. I'm hoping someone can lay out in baby steps how to help me with these issues.
1. My folders, and TF3D indicate I have a text message when there are no conversations in there it's completely empty in every folder but it still indicates I have one new text message and it won't clear with a soft reset or anything.
2. Often times my calls go straight to voicemail and do not ring on my phone.
3. I drop a lot of calls
4. Often times my phone will flash and show who is calling but not actually ring even though the sound is completely on.
5. I get a ton of errors that want to report to Microsoft especially the shell32.exe error
6. Often times when I try to connect to the internet it won't work on the Opera browser or IE browser just says can't connect.
7. Often times my email won't download and I get a message saying check in my network connections and the only way it'll fix is if I power the device off.
8. The feature where I can flip it upside down to mute it doesn't work
9. Often times I will click on one spot and it activates something I didn't click.
These are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head. Can someone please help me? I am begging. You can find me on Yahoo at julesthequeen06 if it'd be just easier to tell me I'm a lost cause on chat. Thank you in advance for reading this far.

Have you flashed a new rom, loaded any progams, or done anything beyond out of the box configuring? The easiest answer would be to hard reset the phone and see if that helps.
We need to know some more in-depth info
Carrier:
Rom:
If you haven't tried flashing a rom I highly suggest doing so. This can help with a lot of the problems you are having. For the Stock Rom has a lot of problems.
i wouldnt flash a new rom if its screwing up like this out of the box. what have you installed on your phone? if its doing all these these without any installed programs or mods why have you waited 30 days to do something about it? it seems to me its more of a software issue. try hard resetting and go from there. if its fine, install one program at a time and find out which is causing it. if you have att then i dont think your mute is supposed to work like that, thats a feature you have to install another program to do. i could be wrong but mine doesnt work like that.
I would do a hard reset and clear everything... i would change my time to redirect the call to voice mail to the Max: 30 seconds, I would turn off error reporting because its just a pain in the arse.. the flipping it upside down to mute is the program thats having and issue but like everyone else said what do you have installed on your phone
Hey guys, I have trouble going into the message screen on my touch pro. Every other part of the phone works fine. But if I touch the screen to access the message section, it wont respond. Or if I touch the all messages area of the screen, it will light up but the screen wont switch over. pretty much every other part of the phone works except accessing the message/sms part. i still can receive incoming texts but i have no way of replying it!
I have tried soft reset and it would not help either.
This problem appeared out of nowhere.
my touch pro is unlocked, ROM version is 5.05.401.1 WWE, using windows mobile 6.1
From your report, it sounds like something in the software is crashing. I had something similar and the only way I could figure was to re-flash it (involves losing everything loaded on your phone, without a backup) with the ROM I wanted. There may be another way but for the lack of experience with a stock ROM and your specific situation, it is difficult to help you troubleshoot.
should I go for a hard reset?
or should I reinstall a new ROM? if this is the case, can you kindly tell me how to do it?
all my contacts are saved on my sim card so im not too worried about losing those infos.
I suppose it wouldn't hurt anything to try the hard reset first. Also, if there was anything added/installed and wasn't a part of the stock ROM, it is likely you will lose it such as programs, games, etc. Let me know if you'd like to try your hand at flashing a custom ROM, if the hard reset doesn't work.
If you aren't comfortable with either of these, it might help to give it a few days to see if anyone else chimes in...
Hey I was wondering if someone could help me out with my situation.
I recently bought a used GS4 off someone and it was working fine. I went to get the device unlocked and the wifi stopped working. I found out the previous owner had rooted the device and changed some stuff. But because im not 100% sure what was modified, I'm not sure how to undo it.
Basically, my problem is that when I boot the phone, I get "KERNEL IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING SET WARRANTY BIT:KERNEL". Everything boots up fine and runs fine until I try and make a call. I'm able to open the phone app and dial. But once I push call, I get a blank screen. The phone i'm calling rings, but once it's answered, neither of us can hear each other. I'm also not able to use my camera. Once launched, I get "camera failed" and the app closes. Finally, My wifi stopped working. It just wont turn on at all. Everything else runs fine on the phone including text messages.
What I tried to do to fix the problem:
-Unroot the device
-Root the device and slap CM10.1 on there (This solved my camera and wifi problem. But not my calling problem. It also caused a new issue of not being able to play videos of any kind)
-Complete factory restore
I'm thinking the problem has something to do with the kernel because even after a full restore, I'm still getting the "KERNEL IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING SET WARRANTY BIT:KERNEL". But I can't seem to find a STOCK kernel for my device.

I just got this Moto g through Amazon and got it set up with Immix service in the US. It worked for the test call in the store but randomly now when i place a call, it ALWAYS starts a conference call. (has a manage conference calls button above the hang up button, etc) even though I only clicked on one number in my contacts. When I try and press the button to hang up the call, it flashes for a second (almost looks like it goes back to a single call) and then comes back with the same conference call view. I can't get it to disconnect the call on my end no matter what I do. Even clicking hang up in the notification will clear the notification but it comes right back up again. It just gets stuck in the call. If another person calls me, I am able to hang up the call no problem. It's only if I dial out. I've tried a factory data reset, I've reflashed the factory image files, reinserted the SIM, tried a new SIM, put this SIM back in an old phone, etc.
Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?
all these views and no thoughts?
I ended up contacting motorola and they had me ship the phone back under warantee but so far, it seems they have only lost the phone in their processing/repair facility. I'm not super convinced that when I do finally get it back that it will be any better off....
i also got this same problem with my phone buyed from kodoo ... I got this only with 4.4 version of the system. I got this on Stock ota 4.4.2 and also on Us retail
this is very annoying since it will drain battery, it need a reboot to end the call .... really disappointed about this issue
but no chance for me, I've void my waranty by unlocking de bootloader
Update on the issue: if. I call the service number of my carrier (611) it won't trigger the conference call and I'll be able to end the call without any issue

Interesting. Got a replacement from Motorola under warantee after they lost the original one in their processing facility. The new one came and its working OK so far on 4.3 but it asks regularly to update to 4.4 right out of the box. I thought that might have been the issue to begin with so I haven't done the update yet. From what I've read, there isn't any way to go back to the 4.3 after the OTA to 4.4 on the phone either.
i'm not totaly sure that it safe to downgrade but i've done it more than one time ...
i'm also ot sure you can do it with locked bootloader ....
but i've done it with flashing one of those image : http://sbf.droid-developers.org/phone.php?device=14
anyway i'll keep 4.4 either if i found an fix or not ... a simple reboot after a call isnt so hard to do
Hi everyone,
I've installed Havoc OS GSI on my mobile phone (a Blackview BV6800 Pro) and the OS is wonderful. However randomly my card sim isn't recognized anymore. It displays that "no card sim is found". I joined some screenshots.
I notice that it occurs mostly when I want to call someone, write a SMS or when I go to a place where there is not a lot of network (but not everytime in these all cases). I also notice that this bug never occurs during a call!
To solve my problem I need to reboot my phone. If I use my phone a lot I need to reboot a lot and at contrary I don't need to reboot a lot if I sued only a little the phone to call or send SMS.
I see that some people changed their build.prop but I never found these files I don't think I've this kind of settings.
Thank you in advance for your help!

You have a build.prop, all android does. It is in the system partition, you will need a file manager app that has a root explorer in order to access and modify the build.prop.
Maybe it's not implied by the build.prop. How can I test that? Is there any log stored somewhere?
