So recently my htc u11 started to freeze from time to time and apps are crashing a lot and this never used to happen at all! And jt lags a little sometimes. Am i the only one experiencing this? Is it because of the new update? What could be causing this? I have also had trouble with Google play and when i try to update apps sometimes it says "not responding"
Try wipe cache or a factory reset.
May help

i dont know why but all of a sudden every few minutes when i use the tablet it will all of a sudden freeze and the error "Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped" i am just on stock rooted and i didnt change any system files around. it doesnt seem to have any effect outside of the freeze, but its still really annoying. any ideas short of doing a factory reset?
Hi, i started getting with with the team alliance ROM, factory reset and clear Dalvik, came back after a while. Switched to latest rooted stock, same as you, started getting it again. Seems to be a bit random, haven't been able to tie it to anything specific and luckily it doesnt happen that often at all.
After i just did my first cold boot i have some wierd issues. I dont know if cold boot is the source of this, but it's the only thing i can think of, it happened right after.
First thing i noticed was that gallery stopped working, and this happens every time i start it. Then i notice PlayStore tries to update apps but stops at the "downloading" part.
Rebooting doesnt help, so i tried another cold boot with no luck.
Any suggestions?
Hmm downloading a new app doesnt work either, just stops at the "downloading" part again, so its not just when updating apps. Seems like my tablet doesnt like recieving data from the play store anymore.
Anyone?
Try clearing the cache and data for the playstore app. Then temporily disable autoupdate in the playstore. I think its overwhelming the tablet.
Try updating a few at a time. Do the Chrome update by itself, doesn't seem to like other updates going at the same time.

I solved the problem. It wasn't the cold boot that caused this, it seems disabling ALL the preinstalled apps from asus is not a good idea. Once i reenabled them, the problems with gallery and playstore were fixed.
Doh Feel stupid much? Yep
It mainly happens when I reboot the phone. "Google play services has stopped working" followed by "com.google.process.location has stopped working", sometimes twice in a row. It's been happening for a couple of days now. The only adverse effect I've noticed, besides it being annoying and frustrating, is that my zooper weather widget hasn't updated in two days. I've even tried to force update it. I tried a websearch and it only turned up a gapps error message. Has this been happening to anyone else or might anyone have some insight as to what is causing the problem?
Try to clear data and cache on google play service.
If it still heppens, reflash your GApps

Clearing app data won't change anything. I fixed it with a clean flash.
"Are you rooted? If so are you using xposed with the Disable Location Consent module? The new Play Services update is causing a conflict with that module; try disabling it and see if that resolves the issue. If that's the culprit you should be fine without the module, there's now a checkbox to no longer show a prompt when switching between Location modes."
I found this solution on reddit.
@Penetrator18 : thanks for the tip mate, it solved my problem
Seems like from a week or so the apps are crashing very randomly no app is crashing all the time but I don't know which one will crash when
Any solution or way to find out what might be causing this ?
I'm having the same issue... usually its hangouts, twitter, or the system ui.
i am trying to test out if using ART will be more stable versus using the Dalvic Run Time.
For about a month now I've been having trouble with apps either force closing or video playback stopping constantly. I've done two factory resets and played back in safe mode. The problem persists. I can't figure out which app is causing the problem. I've Uninstalled all game apps.
Anyone having this issue? Any ideas which app could be causing the problem? It has to be a factory installed app. Calling Samsung help hasn't done a thing. They just want me to send them the tablet so they can charge me to fix it. I know it's an easy fix, but don't know which app is causing the problem.
Could be low memory. Have you checked that?
