How to add someone to Contacts Favorites - Samsung Gear S2

I just got my Samsung Gear S2 yesterday. It is an R730A, with simcard using ATT. The contacts has a search, then "Favorites" , the my profile, then contacts in alphabetical order. I have a Samsung S8 phone and it has a People Edge. Most of the contacts from the S8 People Edge made it to the "Favorites", even my sister who i have not contacted in ages (don't ask why i put her in my People Edge). That is what made me think that the S2 favorities came from my S8 People Edge. Anyway, i want to control my S2 Favorites. How can i do that?

OK, stupid question. In android contacts (or maybe it is Samsung contacts), you can designate someone as a favorite. So on my S8 when i cleaned up my favorites my S2 now matches.

[Q] Whatsapp/Viber account from lost phone to new one?

Hi Guys
This is a wierd issue. My daughter is travelling in South America. She has, to all intents and purposes, lost her iPhone 3 or 4 and has bought a new Samsung Galaxy S4. With her new phone she had to buy a sim card. Her only means of contact with us is via Whatsapp and Viber. Since she has a new number and the two apps work off the old phone number is there any way to restore her old accounts to her new phone?
Appreciate some help
Brian

Hello,
As for Viber, she can simply reinstall it on her new device with the new sim, restoring previous account is not available.
Good luck!
So you are not talking about the messaging history to restore. But the app itself. In that case, I would say try to port the old phone number either to the new galaxy s4 or to a second device. After you get the number ported than its easy to intercept the whatsapp SMS verification code.
For the future, I recommend using a Google voice number to register with these apps. That way, you always have access to the number to verify. Of course you'll than have to deal with two numbers.. one is the real cell phone and the other for whatsapp and other apps.

Show only contacts with phone number

Hi,
A friend, with an older version of Galaxy Note, can Show only contacts with phone number on his contact list.
It's seem to be impossible with my S6... Is it possible to add the trick? Or maybe I Missed something.
Thanks for your answer (and sorry for my english...)
It's hard to believe, but it is not an option on the S6. My old Galaxy Note 3 could do it, but not my newer S6.... It's a pain in the butt to see every Facebook friend in my contacts, instead of just those who I merged with my personal contacts with listed phone numbers. Plus every email address, of every person I've emailed without phone numbers listed. Way to go Samsung....
Ow f*ck, you're kidding me, right... Is there no solution for this ?
My carkit is useless now because I have to go through a sh*tload of contacts to whom I have ever mailed (so without any phone number whatsoever).
It really makes my carkit unusable now

Doesn't exist on Galaxy S6
It's there for me with back-to-n0t3 rom. My s6 was with the stock firmware only for a month or so and I didn't noticed dialer app adopted that annoying lollipop missing feature. I guess if it's important for you you will have to change the dialer or the rom.

Samsung S7 Messaging App for the s6?

Hey guys,
I was wondering if the Samsung s7 messaging app was compatible with the s6? One of the main reasons I wanted to specifically use the s7 messaging app is because of the chat feature (read receipts, notifies you when the user is typing, etc.). The S6 has a enhanced messaging, but is only compatible with other s6's in one's contacts (from what i can understand). I have a couple of friends on the s7 and wanted to use the feature too. Thanks for your help in advance.

Contact Picture size for incoming and outgoing calls S8+

So I just switched from my Verizon Note 4 running Android v6.x to Samsung S8+ running Android 7.x
I am syncing all my contacts using Gmail contacts. I have also tried attaching a local photo to each contact and no luck there either.
On my Note 4, 1/2 the phone would have the contact photo (see attached).
Does the S8 or Android 7 have the ability to make the photo larger when someone calls in or an outgoing call?

I'd like the same
With my S7 Edge I was able to find some oldеr InCallUI.apk and it was doing the job. Although it wasn't working very well with some of the notification bar icons being invisible wile on a call (as they were white color too). But it was worth using it and it was perfectly what I/you wanted.
I hope that someone will make a mod for that for the S8 and I am sure many would love to use it.
Ive been trying various full screen photo ID apps from the Play Store today and none of them seem to work right with the S8
is the phone app in Samsung Note 8 the same?

Gear s3 vs Huawei watch 1st

Hi everyone! I want to buy a smartwatch for my xiaomi redmi note 4x. The main feature for me is notifications. I would like to see, read and answer my emails and others. I would like if one person send me several messages i can read and see all of them (not only their number). Help me please, what would be better for me: huawei watch or samsung gear s3? Thanks!
I owned gear s3 (non-lte version)
You can't reply to WhatsApp message by record.
Typing is very bad...(too little letters).
You can't load WhatsApp window and see chat.
There is no WhatsApp app on "tizen store".
You can't send message trough WhatsApp but if you get message you can reply just to the one who sent the message.
Any specific question you want me to check?
I used Huawei with Wear 1 and I use Gear S3 now. Both on the same Samsung S7.
First question to be asked considering Gear S3 - is your language supported by S Voice?
If not - you're out of voice reply - like me speaking unsupported Hebrew.
I am not suffering a lot from absence of voice recognition, since Google Hebrew recognition was horrible any way.
Otherwise, I operate without any problem on S3: Email, SMS, Whatsapp and Viber.
Of course, answering using watch keyboard is a bit tricky, like SMS on an old Nokia.
