Lifeproof FRE case with an extended battery or a Wireless charging back cover? - Galaxy S 5 Accessories

I'm not too sure if this is the right place to ask all of this, but here it goes:
I'm heavily considering an S5, especially since it is has some waterproofing, has an OLED screen, and many features that budget phones today do not have. Lifeproof also offers a case(albeit expensive) that makes it much more waterproof and 'drop-proof'. Would there be any similar cases that you would recommend, that increase waterproofing and make it drop proof?
However, I'm also pretty worried about the battery life. How much time can the stock 2800 mAh battery get you? I'm pretty sure the Lifeproof case won't work with really any extended battery.
And while I don't know the practicality of it, how necessary/cool is a wireless charging cover? I think it's a really cool thing for something as old as an S5, but I'm not too sure if it's worth the tradeoff(s). I have seen posts here saying that the wireless charging cover is somewhat compatible with the Lifeproof case, but inconvenient.
A final question, although not really an accessory question, is where should I get an S5 from? Will the popular ebay ones do for rooting? I need it unlocked though

Hello and welcome the s5 is a good choice to have and it can hold its own as for the waterproof case you could just get the life proof if it suits your needs but I personally don't have one that's water proof.for wireless charging it is good for over night or if your at work but the charge rate is slow so I would just get a long charging cable
For the battery I get about 5 to 6 hours screen on time it all depends on daily usage and what apps your using
And for buying a s5 I paid £40 for mine all working but the paint has started coming off the bezel if you can get one private of sites like shpock or Gumtree then you should get one cheap if not eBay or amazon then I bought a zagg invisible shield off eBay for £0.99p and a hard case for the same price

i suggest you also purchase the 8500Mah version of ZL i have purchased it and waiting for it to arrive.
i am sure it will serve you well in giving you lots of ScreenOnTime and Standby times, plus the case is very sturdy looking it has its flaws for example the speaker sounding low since the battery is really wide and covers the speakers but you can use a little piece of smthng like credit card material and put it between the battery near the speaker and then put the cover on im sure it will give better sound that way . go for 8500, only like 20$ more

I have the 8500, and chose it for the case and holster. As others have said, the case is very nice and very protective. Comparisons to OtterBox are appropriate, and it may even be better... It also came with a holster which was the one thing that had been lacking for ZL in general. I had their battery with my Galaxy Nexus, and it was heck trying to find something to carry it on my belt that didn't look and feel horrible.
As for battery life, I'm on my third charge, and am getting 2-3 days. I have lots of apps, use lots of location based activities, and make the occasional phone call. With the stock battery I was getting 14-18 hours.

[Q] Zerolemon external travel charger?

Is there one available for the Zerolemon Samsung Galaxy Note 4 10000mah Extended Battery yet? Will any other external chargers work?
I think the Samsung OEM charger would work. Might have to remove the flip open lid.
..
It fits.. and it's charging. Can't say how well it will work yet. The door was easy to take off tho.
The problem with these batteries is the fact that they want you to charge them for 12 hours..... conditioning is good But...
If you need 10k mah, do they expect you to have 12 hrs to attach yourself to the wall?
I have had very good luck with zl batteries though. I'm finally going to review this one once I've used it a few weeks.
Honestly, notes feel better with the big batteries IMHO. my 4 is neat to hold but once I have the case and battery on it, it's more comfortable.
Sorry for the hijack.

They already have a Zerolemon thread for this battery and you shall face same issues we all have and did. Lol
BAD ASS NOTE 4
yeah I never go off of forums when trying to figure out whether or not to buy something. I trust Amazon reviews before I trust that. besides I don't know if you've read every page but I actually did before I made this order. I also read the comment made whenever someone asked if a zl battery would fit in an otterbox.
I've been cutting defender otter boxes to fit extended batteries since the defender OtterBox came out. Zerolemon to me was not revolutionary. it was just a much better looking alternative to what I was already doing. I've had plenty of luck out of zerolemon, and I've talked to plenty of people who, when you get down to it, can't just blame the company for the issues that they've had. I don't at all believe that the company does as well as it used to. but not every last battery is a piece of ****.
but I guess I am trying to defend my purchase here and that's really easy. I do not like the feel of the note without a large case and heavy battery. I couldn't hang on to the first note until I got the battery. why the hell someone wants something that's half the size of a notebook but as thin as a sheet of paper I will never understand. it is ten times as comfortable to hold with all of these attachments. your mileage may vary I guess..

[Review]Mugen Power 5900mAh Extended Battery for Samsung Galaxy S5

Disclaimer: I was chosen to receive a review unit of the Mugen Power 5900mAh Extended Battery.
So, that being said, I had done some research on their website, as well as googling Galaxy S5 "wireless charging" + "extended battery" and was prepared to like the battery. Mugen appears to be the only company (from google search) that has an extended battery AND wireless charging. This is a preliminary review with initial observations and pictures. I'll update the review after "conditioning" the battery and putting it through a few charging cycles.
PRO's:
On the website, the backcover was not suppose to be IP67 water-resistant (they were working on that, but it wasn't suppose to be wireless charging capable. The model I received is! (See included pictures)
Wireless charging: Worked effortlessly on the Q1 charger I was using with a wireless charging card.
NFC: Worked perfectly.
Design: Very solid and well designed. As you can see in the picture, the wireless connector is solid, the speaker is boxed in, so that sound won't echo in the hollow space, but is directed to the cut-out. Also, the speaker cut-out has a film cover, which the OEM does not. I'm used to having my phone is a case so I'm used to a larger feel in my hand and it feels very comfortable to me.
CON's:
Just one. It would be nice if it included a bumper so that the front of the phone was raised slightly. That being said, Mugen included both a tempered glass screen protector, and a leather-like pouch for the phone. I honestly don't know if that's part of the standard order, but it was a very nice touch.
Lastly, Mugen is based out of Hong Kong, but they are by no means anything like an e-bay cheapy product. Instructions included with battery are written in perfect english. If you've ever gotten an e-bay product from the Far East, I'm sure you know what I mean!
UPDATE 1: After the first charge/discharge cycle, almost 1 day, 8 hours and 7 hours screen on time. Pretty heavy use with Google Maps running screen brightness set to full brightness. After next charge, I'm just going to put it through "normal" use.
UPDATE 2: With light to moderate use, got 3 days, 8 hours, 40 minutes.
Planning on moving up to the S5 from the S4 since the latest Galaxy doesn't have the features it use too. Anyway... I really like your review and even went to Mugen's site and gave it a once over, but I'm not hooked.
Right now I am using a 5200mAh from Anker and for $25 I couldn't have gone wrong. This thing with moderate to heavy use is getting me around 2 days of battery life. Anyway... I'm pretty happy with the Ankers performance, so of course I looked into them for the S5 and I see they offer a whopping 7500mAh for only $40.
Granted you mention Mugen sending you a pouch/case... but their site doesn't mention that... so no idea if that would even be included on every order or if it might have been a limited order/supply kind of deal. Regardless though... I can't seem to justify paying an extra $45 and getting a battery that's 1600mAh smaller than the Anker. Also I have to add that my current S4 Anker hardback sucks... wasn't molded well and sometime pops off as it doesn't fit real snug like it should and I see Mugen uses the same kind of hardback. The S5 Anker uses what looks to be a plastic/rubber combo and fits like a glove.
Appreciate the review though.
Did you buy the anker battery how did it perform...

Please don't hijack the thread. Feel free to discuss Mugen, otherwise PM the user you're asking. Thanks.
Thanks for the review. If the site advertised / sold the exact same one with the IP67 rating like the one you received. I would purchase one in a heartbeat.

i see a mophie case, anybody else probably getting one? (yes they have a edge version of the case)
what other companies makes cases with batteries?
i dont think that is a battery case... nothing more that an external pack shaped like the phone, and like with all the samsung accessories, it'll be overpriced. i can buy a 10,000mAh pack for $20-25. same with cases, too many good options out there at better prices.
And like in the past with samsung accessories, the phone will come out and the accessories will be nowhere to be found until months later, if at all..
Buy an anker. Better and cheaper I believe
There is supposed to be some snap on magnetic exta power pack/case thing direct from samsung.
Personally the S6 will have more than enough battery. If I really needed more I'd also get an external pack rather than carrying a much heavier phone all the time.

What Is a Good, Protective S6 External Battery Case?

Hey guys,
I was looking at the Mophie Juice Pack for Samsung Galaxy S6 but it retails for at least $74.99 plus shipping and handling on Amazon. I've seen other cases that claim to supply the same amount (or more) battery life than the Mophie one, but they're... suspiciously cheap, some are $29.99 and some are even $19.99. So there are two things that I'm looking for in my external battery case:
1. At least 3,000 mAh
2. Protection from dropping the phone and it landing screen-side. I don't case about how easy the case scratches or whatever.
I find the best way to figure these out are just to ask people which battery case they use or have seen used. So I'll do it, which battery cases have you guys used, and what was their quality like? Did they protect your phone?
Personally, I love and recommend this case: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...CY0R72CAW7Q&ref_=pd_ys_sf_s_2335752011_a2_5_p
It has a soft rubber feel, lowers the likelihood of dropping the phone. Battery life is excellent. I use it when traveling on business.
Last thought. It is ZeroLemon, one of the most trusted names in accessories.
I hope this helps.
thanks for the link

3 1/2 stars with over 100 reviews. I think that is pretty good for Amazon. Most of the reviews (44%) are 5 star, followed by 33% at 4 star.
The specified goal was long battery life....it gives me 2x the battery that I have without it.
It offers good protection and it reasonably priced.
Do you have an alternative to propose?

Mophie seems to be the better case, but boy is it overpriced.
I don't know how you guys like these thick and ugly cases. I'm sure it also adds a lot of weight to the phone.
I am also looking for one, but do not like any of those.
I'm about to get a morphie case for this device. Will give feedback when I get it.
Getting like 50% off it lol. Let's see how it is
