Hey guys i found today these batteries and watched the review of them by droiddog

and i am very interested in buying one of these. i am currently getting 1-2 days of medium use and i day of full use with my desire and i am excited with more life. Actually the 1600mha seems nice addition without any bulk added (if it adds 5-10 hours) but the 3200mha is VERY usefull for trips or journeys without charger.
Did any of you tried these batteries ???? i heard that seido are not good but since droiddog recommended them i am into this A LOT.

i doubt anyone has tried the 3200mah in the desire as the battery cover will not fit
I had a Mugen extended battery for my Hero. IIRC it was 200mAh higher capacity than the original battery, so I expected around 10% to 15% better life from it. In practice though, it actually seemed marginally worse than the original HTC battery and certainly no better.
I've since found this site, and it very much mirrors my experience with Mugen batteries.

if you saw the video they provide a cover that fits with the battery. and i thought that since the reviewer actually tells it DOES make difference i found it an opportunity.,

Does seem like a good idea to me, review was nice, and i agree with the guy, having that back on would make it feel better in your hand.
But theyl never do a case like the back for the desire will they?
As the n1 bottom bit on the back isnt removable so it makes it easier, where is desire they would have to do a whole new back plate.

Uhh the battery Mugen are selling comes with a new back plate for the Desire.

I use the one for Desire, they've been reviewed in many places already and this guy from batteryboss is ridiculous in his testing cuz he got those batteries from ebay and thinks it's really Mugen Power. Mugen comes from Hongkong and has only one good reseller. Many batteries like other accessories are scam, so you just need to know where to order them.
I don't know about the 1600 one, but I've owned the Mugen 3200 for over a month now, and it has literally doubled my battery life.
You quickly get used to the extra bulge and weight, and it becomes a non-issue.

usually unplug phone around 8, i arrive at midnight with around 60% using facebook, bluetooth, music, market, gps, some calls and sms, google reader and browser... data connection always on, wi-fi sometimes...
the only regret is not having a rubber protection case, just the plastic one they give you with battery and backcover...
Just buy a rubber case and cut it to fit the bigger back.
Btw the mugen is good but the back cover is abit fragile. Open and close it too much and the tabs WILL break. Mines currently stuck on with a bit of blutak

From what I've seen, Seidio's "3000 mAH" probably has more real capacity than the eBay "3500 mAH" batteries. Seidio's ratings are a little more conservative than most.
The problem is that the battery life you and I will see is determined by both capacity AND the battery's ability to deal with high loads. A lithium battery can supply more total milliamperes for more hours if you're drawing a tiny load than if you're sucking down power like there's no tomorrow. Two batteries that seem to allow you to draw "3500mAH" when you're drawing 1mA might appear to be very, very different when you jack the load up to 100mA, and one that's nominally smaller might actually last 10-25% longer than the larger battery at the higher load.
Right now, there really isn't any good, objective, tamper-proof and relevant standard for rating batteries. It's kind of like the way cheap amplifiers get rated as "PMPO", and expensive amplifiers get rated as "RMS, at X% THD". Even a single-chip amp can probably output 500 watts of power for a millisecond at 100% THD before the chip melts, but an amp that can output 500 watts at .1% THD all afternoon is going to cost quite a bit more money. What's missing from the battery industry spec is the "load" part of the equation that tells you how much current was being drawn when that rating was determined.
Oh, also... I might be imagining things, but it looks like they might have actually liked my idea of making the top layer of the battery overflow the stock battery's footprint to squeeze in a bit more battery capacity in the same thickness

This will make the phone .86" thick, compared to the stock .55". I had the sedio 3500mah on my incredible which made it .7" thick and that wasn't a problem. I'd love to see some feedback on just how huge a .86" phone feels in your pocket, the picture makes it look gigantic.
Can't testify to any actual dimensions, but I do know that I saw a guy with a Seidio battery on his EVO and to me, it actually felt better with the extra size and weight from the battery. It didn't make his EVO seem extra bulky or anything like that, and I think that should be the case with this battery for the Epic.
I want to get this battery, but 2 major things are stopping me:
1. The price is $70. Hrm...between the cheaper extended battery options and the cheaper spare batteries, it's hard to justify $70 for the Seidio battery, especially if the other cheaper batteries seem to last long enough.
2. There's no case for the back - this is the more important reason for me...I can get over the cost of the battery if it's worth it, but how do you protect the back of this thing? And if I leave the top half of my case on, then my phone will look extra ugly and ghetto. They need to make a case and/or more rugged battery cover for those of us that don't want to carry our phones fully or half naked.
IMO a real man lets his phone go naked.
Seriously, I've never used a case for any smartphone. Never had a problem either. But I do carry TEP on every device.

To address your issues:
1) The price is $56 with 20% off coupon code "XMAS20" (without the quotes). I think that's very reasonable, especially when you consider the stock battery with charger is $50 from Sprint.
2) Seidio always end up making cases for their extended battery backs. The back to this unit is best looking one I've seen out of the extended batteries thus far, and give it a month or so and I'm sure there'll be a case you can purchase as well. I personally prefer leaving my phone naked

Please test the battery to figure out the real world mAh from the battery. I am very interested. If its anything like other Seido extended batteries, I expect it to be around 2450 mAh in reality.

Well you've sold me...if they come out with a decently priced battery+case combo, then I'll definitely go for the Seidio option. As far as I see, none of the other extended batteries have any case options.

I just ordered the extended battery and the separate battery charger. Thanks for the Coupon Code. As far as Seidio making cases for their extended battery backs, I've found this isn't the case at all. I bought the extended battery for the Treo 800w and also the HTC Hero and they never came out with an Innocase or anything else, for that matter, for either, although they said they would.
Another option that I've used for the Seidio extended battery is www.mobilecity.com. They had the Hero battery for $20 less than Seidioonline. Right now they list the Epic battery for $59, but the Coupon Code beats that price right now. Does anyone have the Seidio extended battery? If so could someone post pictures of the thickness? I'm interested in the seidio battery because i don't like just having 1 hump on the battery case like the 2800 extended battery available on ebay. Plus seidio is known to have awesome extended batteries. If the phone is given a horrible thickness i'd totally buy it. Anyone with the 2800 have a hard time texting or using the game gripper for playing roms? Is it comfortable?

Going off a rough measurement its barely thicker then an Epic with a Seidio Innocase on (about the thickness of a quarter).

I have the 2800 one. It is fine for texting. It definitely adds to the weight of the phone. I don't have the game gripper, but I can still play the racing games just fine. Well, I haven't gotten very far in the game, but I chalk that up to my poor gaming skills to begin with.

Based off cosmetics do you think it would be more comfortable having the entire case thicker like the seidio battery case? or is the 3500 mah comfortable enough? Also does it feel odd in your pocket? This is a hard decision for me. Maybe its just me but I like buying the good brand because of the name but the cosmetics of the seidio just look nicer to me than the one you have. This is a tough decision. I understand the battery life but now its all up to looks and feel. hmm.

Sure it has its flaws but so does any product, its doesn't feel flimsy or cheap and offers a good value for anyone looking for a replacement battery. Would I recommend this to my friends heck yea in fact I recommend everyone looking for a replacement to look at one of these and with the price and free shipping its a steal. I am sorry for the focusing it was taken with another fascinate the best camera I have.

Nice review brad, I have multiple batteries for my fassy, stock, a Samsung Epic 4g 1800 ( fits perfectly) 2 ANKER 1800 ( came with charger) and also the 3500 which you reviewed. Mine didn't come with a charger though but they will fit in my Anker charger. They make phone fatter but its OK. I wish I could find a silicon cover for the back though. Other than that I'm very pleased with them. :thumbup:

The 3500 comes with its own back, it is thicker. The epic 1800 and Anker ones fit under the original back.

The battery fits snugly into the phone and is really secure even without the back cover on and is in no danger of falling out.
The phone is obviously slightly heavier but not noticeably but with the back cover on you can certainly notice the extra thickness for sure.

After my first day of use I got 7.30 hours of screen on time but I did do a back up, flash a new Rom and then restore during this so I expect to be able t get 2 days usage and 8 hours of screen on time once the battery has had a few charge cycles.
The back cover is a very similar material to the original and includes NFC and wireless charging which for me is a major plus point

There are other alternatives on the market like zerolemon but this doesn't have NFC or wireless charging and it is a tricell battery it has been causing issues with giving a true reading of remaining battery.
I had a mugen battery on my old galaxy s2 which I gave my mum and is still going strong 4 years later so reliability I don't see as an issue.

I ordered one of them generic honeycomb-style TPU cases for extended batteries for a couple of quid from eBay, I believe it will fit the Mugen back cover. If that's true, then it's a cheap solution for extra protection.

Gotcha I will wait until they offer the back door by itself. I love my Hyperion battery and to justify spending a 100 for a battery not as big and a cover is not for me. Just was looking into the cover and now tpu case you reffered to .all these backdoors are made by 1 company in China then get labeled or stuff added to it like qi charger adapter

Tbh i can normally get a day out of the stock battery but it's nice to have the extra juice if you are somewhere where you can't plug in and recharge. Any extended battery will add some bulk to the phone but the mugen doesn't feel like a brick unlike some others that really are huge and probably overkill

I work anywhere from 10-16 hours a day on my feet moving with clients. So I don't have time to charge back up. A spare battery is OK but if I forget it I am screwed. Rather have the bulk either way. I got pretty big hands and the phone sometimes is a pain to hold with out the case with bigger back.

After spending 4 days with the Mugen battery, I have to say I am quite impressed.
Firstly, it does add bulk to the back of the phone, but it doesn't add much weight, so the phone is easy to handle. The back cover is of very high quality (will update the post with photos soon) and the kickstand is sturdy and quite handy. Wireless charging and NFC work flawlessly, which is a big bonus.
Now to the more interesting part: the actual battery life. The battery has claimed capacity of 6640mAh and the stock battery is rated at 3220mAh. That means it should easily double the battery life of the phone.
Does it deliver?
In short, YES, absolutely.
Long version: I am what many would consider a 'heavy user'. I have a Gear Fit that is constantly connected with the phone, so the S Health app runs in the background syncing every 3 hours. WiFi always on, mobile data as well. Autosync on for 2 Google and 1 Exchange accounts. I stream music from Deezer and watch Netflix almost every day (long bus journeys... ).
All in all, I get about 16 hours of standby with 4 hours of screen on time with the stock battery.
With the Mugen battery I got more than 8 hours of screen on time -see screenshots. I didn't even put the phone in Ultra Power Saving mode at night, as I do when I use the stock battery.
So my personal experience has been very positive and the battery, in my view, has scored excellent in all aspects: standby, temperature, charging, appearance.
Are there any negative points?
Much like with everything in life, yes.
I'd really like to see a TPU case that fits the extended back cover. I'm just one of these people that can't stand the idea of the phone being naked! [emoji23]
Is it worth it?
OK, let's address the elephant in the room: the product is pricey. I received it as a review unit and before I actually started using it, I was too thinking what many of you possibly think: "This is too expensive". Long version: I am what many would consider a 'heavy user'. I have a Gear Fit that is constantly connected with the phone, so the S Health app runs in the background syncing every 3 hours. WiFi always on, mobile data as well. Autosync on for 2 Google and 1 Exchange accounts. I stream music from Deezer and watch Netflix almost every day (long bus journeys... ).
All in all, I get about 16 hours of standby with 4 hours of screen on time with the stock battery.
With the Mugen battery I got more than 8 hours of screen on time -see screenshots. I didn't even put the phone in Ultra Power Saving mode at night, as I do when I use the stock battery.
So my personal experience has been very positive and the battery, in my view, has scored excellent in all aspects: standby, temperature, charging, appearance.
Are there any negative points?
Much like with everything in life, yes.
I'd really like to see a TPU case that fits the extended back cover. I'm just one of these people that can't stand the idea of the phone being naked! [emoji23]
Is it worth it?

Great review @iridaki way better than mine lol. I have to say I agree with your conclusion it is a bit more expensive but I think the inclusion on Nfc and wireless charging make it worth it.
I have tried the wireless charging and once you get the phone positioned properly it works fine although the phone does get rather warm

Considering the size of this phone to begin with, I would say that to add any extra bulk would be not in my best interest. I would just recommend a power bank that you can plug into periodically, and just making sure you charge your phone nightly. I like to keep my phone in my pocket, and that even a little extra bulk would be quite noticeable. At least in my perspective.

I have the Zerolemon as well, I suppose I can see if the Zeroshock case will work with the Mugen battery. I don't have the Mugen battery yet, just ordered it, otherwise I would have tried it. I just got tired of the battery percentage and calibration shenanigans with the Zerolemon, had to try something else.

I've been using my Mugen battery for a while now and it's awesome, I am sure you'll enjoy it.
If the Zeroshock case for the Note 4 is anything like the one for the S4, it can accommodate any extended battery so it should work with the Mugen just fine.

Only issue for me is i either have to take the back off or use stock battery when i use my gear vr

Wireless charging this? I find this a joke. Even with stock battery, I found it takes too long for the % move up, also i pick up the phone to use more frequently, so it's not practical, especially this one, take 24h to charge without picking up the phone????

I am looking for a battery that would fit into the standard cover, there are a few chinese batteries that claim that they have 4500mAh capacity with the same size.... are they fake? Second thing which i was looking for was a case with integrated external battery, again there are a few of them but most of them have bad reviews and none of them has S pen access. So to the questions:
1. Is there any higher then standard slim battery that would fit into the standard case?
2. Is there any charger case with S Pen access?
3. Is it better to buy case with built-in battery or internal battery lets say Hyperion 8kmAh

3. Depends on your personal taste. I have hyperion battery and I love it, but I don't like using it as my daily driver, because I can't use nice quality cases like Spigen. I use it when I'm going out for the long day trip. So, my favorite choice is stock battery with some good case and slim power bank in my bag just in case.

So i was searching for batteries with conclusion that no slim extended (non-fake) exists... so i started searching for cases and found a few but most of them have no access to stylus... finally i found this one, which has even S Pan access or at least it seems like it has... anyone know something about it? Would i have to charge the case sepparately? Does it really has S pan entry? Anyone knows anything?
That one you found looks like it would charge both at the same time but is labeled as a Max input/output of only 1A. That would take over 8 hours to charge both the case and phone together. If you were actively using the phone, your phone battery would be discharging faster than the case could recharge it.

Well my conclusion is, that I will stick with original battery and maybe later I could buy ZeroLemon 10k mAh battery for outdoors activities... I don't like power banks... the idea of having to plug the phone into something and then having to walk around with it... nope... so thank you for ur advice about charging time I didn't think about it and until someone makes battery case with better input / output and with stylus hole... I will just buy Spigen Tough Armor or that from i-Blason and keep my orig battery
