i suggest you also purchase the 8500Mah version of ZL i have purchased it and waiting for it to arrive.
i am sure it will serve you well in giving you lots of ScreenOnTime and Standby times, plus the case is very sturdy looking it has its flaws for example the speaker sounding low since the battery is really wide and covers the speakers but you can use a little piece of smthng like credit card material and put it between the battery near the speaker and then put the cover on im sure it will give better sound that way . go for 8500, only like 20$ more

I have the 8500, and chose it for the case and holster. As others have said, the case is very nice and very protective. Comparisons to OtterBox are appropriate, and it may even be better... It also came with a holster which was the one thing that had been lacking for ZL in general. I had their battery with my Galaxy Nexus, and it was heck trying to find something to carry it on my belt that didn't look and feel horrible.
As for battery life, I'm on my third charge, and am getting 2-3 days. I have lots of apps, use lots of location based activities, and make the occasional phone call. With the stock battery I was getting 14-18 hours.

This is only one i found on ebay. I was going asking if anyone has tried this yet.
There are 2 types, that I know of.
One like the link above, and one that is full across the back
I got the second type of back, (link) for $12, as I like how it adds protection for the camera lens
I got the battery from here, (link) and it comes with a the first type of back for $18
I don't mind how it thickens the phone, and it actually makes holding when I type on the hw kb a lot more comfortable.
With the 3500mv battery, I was able to have my Epic OC'ed to 1.4GHz, brightness set to 100%, have BT, WiFi, GPS, & 4G on all day, and use the phone normally, and the battery still was over 48% when I got home from work, 10 hours later.
If the price for that is a little extra thickness, I will take that any day. Espically since I can always put the stock battery and back on if I want to use the slim profile for some reason.
Whoops...the link i posted was for a phone cover with the extended battery, not the battery cover. When you buy an extended battery from the same ebay seller he includes the battery cover. This is the case to protect the phone.

The case is ok but right now moretalktime is making a updated version that makes the access to button layouts better. I currently have it but im sending back in and waiting for the updated version since the case blocks some basics features like the speaker and the mic hole.
Can't one use the clip in holster where the face of the phone is facing the holster nd the back of the phone faces outward? A holster similar to the one used with the Seidio Active X cases?

I got tired of the extra bulk and ended up replacing it with an extra OEM battery. I'm keeping it around incase I go on a road trip however.

Otterbox & Extended Batteries

Hey folks,
I tried searching but could not find the answer. I am about to the buy the otterbox for my lovely G2. I love otterboxes but before I do, anyone know if an extended battery (like this one) would fit with the otterbox on it?
I assume not, based on prior experience the otterbox must be pretty tight but wanted to double check.
Thanks

Pysch. I just read that batteries' description and it seems it does not add any thickness to the battery. Has anyone proven/disproven this?
Also my original question still stands I think as I am still thinking of getting an extended battery. My G2 does last about 10 hours of normal use, but who knows when you might need the extra juice; better safe than sorry I think.
Anything that fits in our existing battery door will work with an Otterbox.
Seidio tends to work OK, though I prefer OEM batteries. HTC makes one for the EVO Design 4G that is 1520mAh and fits inside the G2 perfect as well.
Thanks.
And so is it safe to assume anything does adds even a little bit of bulk does not fit with an otterbox?

If the original battery door closes it should be fine. Any battery that needs its own battery door won't work with the otterbox.

Just want to add that as much as I love the otterbox, I have gone through 3 of them in a year and they are no longer in production so if it breaks you will not be able to get a replacement under warranty

Thanks for the heads up. I have ordered a cheap case from amazon but still desperately want to find an otterbox. Their cases are so amazing, it sucks there are so few out there for the G2. I am a mission now, seems every store online that lists it says its out of stock once you buy and send the money..
I wonder how good the battery life on seido batteries are, currently I'm using a 1520mah oem battery.

4500 Seidio vs 3000 Zerolemon

I have been reading all the threads on the extended batteries and wanted to hear from people that have both the seidio 4500 and the 3000 zero lemon. I have the 7500 Zerolemon for my phone right now. Although the battery is nice, I don't get crazy numbers like some people on here. (12 hours screen on time!!) I've had the battery for a week and my most has been about 7 hours. Which is still crazy good, but I miss the feeling of the slim phone. This thing made my basketball shorts sag like crazy today and realized this thing might be too big.
Saw the Seidio one and someone posted a picture of it by a quarter. So I measured mine by a quarter and the seidio seems alot thinner. So now I'm deciding between the Seidio and the 3000 ZL. I just need something thats going to last me a day since I will be charging it every night. Also I am a heavy user.
I was wondering if the back of the Seidio is noticeably fatter and heavier or not really? If not i'm leaning towards the Seidio.
Also which one would you guys prefer between these two?

I imagine that you will be needing a case that is relatively useful if you are playing basketball with it in your shorts, so when you do size comparisons, I suggest you compare the seidio with the extended case on it. I don't think you gain much in regards to width at that point, but it will be lighter and not weigh your shorts down as much.
I'm very skeptical about the zerolemon 3000 mah battery, only because a lot of the 3rd party manufacturers are really 80-90% of their said rating, but to each their own. If you had 13 percent more battery than stock, would it be enough for your daily use, if not, then I'd go with the seidio or stick with the zl 7500.
I have both the ZL 7500 and the Seidio 4500 and I much prefer the latter. The ZL is just too heavy and too.. blocky for me. What saves the Seidio is the much lighter weight and the fact that it's beveled enough so that the angels lie much better in your hands. It manages not to feel very thick at all.
It's going to be my daily battery while I'll keep the ZL for times when I'll be away from charging for quite some time (then I'll probably bring both though).
And I actually think I might prefer the Seidio over the stock battery when it comes to handling the phone as well. It just lies very well in your hand. A tad slippery though so I picked up a case for it on ebay that I hope will fit, if it doesn't I'll probably buy their own case with the kick stand.

Whats your battery life between the two? How's the 4500 match up to the 7500??
You can get (2) ZeroLemon 3000 mAh with a charger for $19 and not need a new battery door or have issues with cases. To me that is far more effective and possibly a way I would go. Just not too familiar with how well ZeroLemon batteries hold up, read a lot of good reviews but no personal experience yet.
I totally agree that getting 2 ZeroLemon 3000 mAh with a charger for $19 is certainly a great deal, but my concern is this, that every time that a battery goes dead you are popping off the back door of your device and taking a chance of something happening. I rather pay $50.00 for a battery that has double that amount and not have to pop the back off. So, that brings me to an another problem, if you were to get a battery doubled that amount, chances are that you are going to need a new door , thus making your phone fatter and unable to fit the OtterBox case. I maybe wrong, I am just speculating from my experience from my other phone I had.

Well.. the numbers speak for themselves don't they?
The ZL lasts a lot longer than the Seidio. It ought to last longer than the Seidio and the stock battery combined so it's a great battery. Just too bulky and heavy for me.
I still have it and it saved the day during a festival I went to. Burned through both the stock battery and the seidio and had to go to the ZL on the last day. Probably could've lasted through the whole event on the ZL but I didn't want something that heavy in my pocket all the time. Just kept all thre batteries in my backpack instead.
So.. it depends on your needs really.

Yeah, I have both now also... got them yesterday, was just curious about life, because some batteries are a little better quality than others. but yes, ZL obviously is better as far as lasting longer.. I prefer the Seidio tho...

So is the Seidio significantly lighter and thinner?
I went with Anker dual 2600 since it had prime shipping and would prefer to keep same size phone; if I had time I prob would have ordered the Zero Lemon (prob will in future). Will report how the 2 2600 and charger hold up on my trip

What Is a Good, Protective S6 External Battery Case?

Hey guys,
I was looking at the Mophie Juice Pack for Samsung Galaxy S6 but it retails for at least $74.99 plus shipping and handling on Amazon. I've seen other cases that claim to supply the same amount (or more) battery life than the Mophie one, but they're... suspiciously cheap, some are $29.99 and some are even $19.99. So there are two things that I'm looking for in my external battery case:
1. At least 3,000 mAh
2. Protection from dropping the phone and it landing screen-side. I don't case about how easy the case scratches or whatever.
I find the best way to figure these out are just to ask people which battery case they use or have seen used. So I'll do it, which battery cases have you guys used, and what was their quality like? Did they protect your phone?
Personally, I love and recommend this case: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...CY0R72CAW7Q&ref_=pd_ys_sf_s_2335752011_a2_5_p
It has a soft rubber feel, lowers the likelihood of dropping the phone. Battery life is excellent. I use it when traveling on business.
Last thought. It is ZeroLemon, one of the most trusted names in accessories.
I hope this helps.
thanks for the link

3 1/2 stars with over 100 reviews. I think that is pretty good for Amazon. Most of the reviews (44%) are 5 star, followed by 33% at 4 star.
The specified goal was long battery life....it gives me 2x the battery that I have without it.
It offers good protection and it reasonably priced.
Do you have an alternative to propose?

Mophie seems to be the better case, but boy is it overpriced.
I don't know how you guys like these thick and ugly cases. I'm sure it also adds a lot of weight to the phone.
I am also looking for one, but do not like any of those.
I'm about to get a morphie case for this device. Will give feedback when I get it.

Lifeproof FRE case with an extended battery or a Wireless charging back cover?

I'm not too sure if this is the right place to ask all of this, but here it goes:
I'm heavily considering an S5, especially since it is has some waterproofing, has an OLED screen, and many features that budget phones today do not have. Lifeproof also offers a case(albeit expensive) that makes it much more waterproof and 'drop-proof'. Would there be any similar cases that you would recommend, that increase waterproofing and make it drop proof?
However, I'm also pretty worried about the battery life. How much time can the stock 2800 mAh battery get you? I'm pretty sure the Lifeproof case won't work with really any extended battery.
And while I don't know the practicality of it, how necessary/cool is a wireless charging cover? I think it's a really cool thing for something as old as an S5, but I'm not too sure if it's worth the tradeoff(s). I have seen posts here saying that the wireless charging cover is somewhat compatible with the Lifeproof case, but inconvenient.
A final question, although not really an accessory question, is where should I get an S5 from? Will the popular ebay ones do for rooting? I need it unlocked though

Hello and welcome the s5 is a good choice to have and it can hold its own as for the waterproof case you could just get the life proof if it suits your needs but I personally don't have one that's water proof.for wireless charging it is good for over night or if your at work but the charge rate is slow so I would just get a long charging cable
For the battery I get about 5 to 6 hours screen on time it all depends on daily usage and what apps your using
And for buying a s5 I paid £40 for mine all working but the paint has started coming off the bezel if you can get one private of sites like shpock or Gumtree then you should get one cheap if not eBay or amazon then I bought a zagg invisible shield off eBay for £0.99p and a hard case for the same price
