Wifi Analyzer (app) not working anymore... - Honor 8 Questions & Answers

Hi the app "Wifi Analyzer" isn't working anymore. I think it might happened after the last update, B389.
Is it just my phone, or does it have something to do with the latest update?
I also have a MTC M8 and its working just fine on it.

You need enable location services.

Enabling the location services did the trick.
Thanks.

There's an option called wifi+ in wifi settings, try disabling if it's enabled

[Q] GSM-based location

Hello,
My problem is that the phone does not locate its approx. right position when signed in gsm network. There are some applications which need this info e.g. weather apps. or apps relating to public traffic.
I do not want to keep gps or wifi on at all times and consuming battery life in an intensive way.
Earlier this function worked fine with HTC one V. But today it does not work with HTC One SV. Is this problem about settings or hardware malfunction? Is it a known issue anyway?
thanks for help,
Steven
HTC One SV
Android 4.1.2
HTC Sense 4+
HTC SDK 4.65
It's not a known issue, no. Everything's fine on my SV, also on my girlfriend's. Also, it should work flawlessly out of the box; you shouldn't need to alter any setting for GSM location to work.
Maybe there's an issue with your provider?

Are you sure about it? If you enter google maps with no gps on the phone is able to find your position?
Browsing internet I am begining to convince myself that Android 4.1 does not include mobile-cell-based location.
have you enabled google location settings?

Sure. It ticked all the option except for gps. But it locates position only with gps. Google map, weather app etc do not work with gps off.

Yes, i am sure about it. If i run GMaps with an active mobile internet connection, it is able to pinpoint my location without any issues whatsoever. I'm running the stock version of HTC's latest firmware, no root, no S-OFF.

Google Maps not detecting Location

Hi guys,
Google maps is not able to detect my location when not on wifi. It thinks I am where my home is (shows a grey dot instead of blue when locating).
I am using GPS in high accuracy mode, google reporthing is enabled and I used another app to detect my location and it works so I am not quite sure what is going on..
Any idea?
Cheers

The GPS antenna might be loose. You can test the GPS itself with Device Only mode to see.

Had the same problem a while ago because I changed the location permission settings with App Ops X for Google Services or something.
If you haven't hacked permissions ignore this post.

How about try Factory Reset?
I think that this has to do with your location services. If you go to location and select improve accuracy, make sure that you have bluetooth scanning disabled. leaving that on leaves the bluetooth on and allows your phone to connect to paired devices whenever.

I'm running a Marshmallow 6.0.1 Android TV Box (Build T5ZP0007) and I have the same problem with Bluetooth not staying disabled after reboot. If I have it disabled, it ALWAYS enables itself on reboot. This was occurring since I received the box before installing any apps. I checked the settings you mentioned but I have my Location Service (GPS) disabled. I've checked EVERY apps' PERMISSION and tried force quitting the Bluetooth Sharing app before and after clearing cache and data. Nothing worked. The damn Bluetooth still turns back on at reboot.

After all of that research,, I couldn't figure it out. Since I have root access, I ended up renaming Bluetooth.apk to Bluetooth.apk.disabled. Problem solved.

Automatically enable wifi doesn't work

As title says, the function of enabling/diasbling wifi near home simply does nothing. Any hint, please?
Do you have location services enabled?

Do you need wifi scanning enabled?

Yes you do.
I have this enabled, too. No differences.
After hard reset, I still experience this problem. Is a passcode mandatory for wifi? I use jus MAC filtering.

It may be due to you have not updated the location app on your device.
