Smartwatch z80s - error on startup [unfortunately android watch has stopped] - General Questions and Answers

Hi XDA members. This is my first post to XDA. Greetings to everyone. Only you people here can troubleshoot.
I have a Z80s smartwatch with MTK with specs:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Z80S 1.54 inch Android 5.1 3G Smartwatch Phone MTK6580 1.3GHz Quad Core 4GB ROM Pedometer Bluetooth GPS
Parameters:
Display: 1.54 inch 320 x 320 pixels IPS screen
CPU: MTK6580 Quad Core 1.3GHz
System: Android 5.1
RAM+ROM: 512MB RAM + 4GB ROM
Bluetooth: V4.0
SIM type: single nano SIM
Functions: GPS, Pedometer, Message, MP3, Gravity Sensor, Sound Recorder
Additional feature: simply lift your wrist, this watch screen will be bright, which makes it easy to view time
Network:
GSM: 850/900/1800/1900MHz
WCDMA: 2100MHz
---------------------------------------------------------------------
The very first time i started it the error msg appears:
[unfortunately android watch has stopped]
(i cannot insert a picture link of the problem- i need 10 posts)
I can never go to other screen so that i can reset it... there are another two keys on the right of the watch:
1. POWER ON/OFF and the other
2. GO BACK
i tried long press , continuous tap ...every combination during boot but no RESET option.
Anyone can help please

Worked after many trials
i tried every Windows app with adb:
1. Qtadb (Good app [ learned may things] - nonetheless did not solved)
2. Android MultiTools
3. Android App manager
-----------------------------
Last thing i tried is to root ( in my mind just to maybe enable system apps that could have been not initializing) using Kingo root
still the startup was messy ( error msg: unfortunately android watch has stopped)
then i saw a small (very small icon - a gift box like) appearing whenever i click OK under the above error msg)...which was an advertisement
when clicked: an advertisement appeared with a blue download button.... which i clicked ( where personally i use adblock on my PC hating ads)...
.....play store opened...and i realised ...to look for an app for factory reset on play store....
i just made a search on "factory reset" on play store (with high rating- i dnt remember something like S.R.P lab [author]) then after installed a green button displaying OPEN
- Smartwatch asked me to accept if System device want to reset....
and finally my device reset to factory default settings.......
-----------------
i THANK xda FORUMS AGAIN... Not for problem today...but for other days where great information were helpful....
Poor english of mine....

Lenovo S10 android X86

I've tested Android (2.2) Froyo on Lenovo S10 netbook. The generic stable release version of Android 2.2 (android-x86-2.2-generic.iso) does not work well at all. The problems are:
1. Screen Flickering
2. Feel slow for 1.6ghz cpu
3. no wifi
4. cannot wake-up from sleep despite holding down ESC or Arrow Keys
so I used IEEE PC version (android-x86-2.2-eeepc.iso), and found improvement. Screen stop flickering and feel fast. however, there are still no wifi and cannot wake-up from sleep. SD reader slot will not work, but instead it recognizes usb flash drive as SD card perfectly.
If anyone know how to get WIFI working or fix the sleep problem or any improvement on Lenovo S10 running Android Froyo, please post. Thanks

anyone faces the same issue? pls respond. thanks.
I think 1.6 is the only stable x86 Android version there is.
android 1.6 able to use wifi on Lenovo S10? or only some specific netbook?
Same issues here. I hope that this will improve or even that they manage to port honeycomb to it.
What about forums on x86 android? Imagine having cooked roms for your laptop

About which S10 you are talking about, S10, S10-2, S10-3...?
I own a S10 and I tested http://android-x86.googlecode.com/files/android-x86-2.3-RC1-eeepc.iso
Works well, no flickering and wifi is working.
I (and probably most of other people) am talking about S10-3t, which makes most sense to use android since it have touch screen.
s10-3t good work wish android-x86-2.2-r2-s103t.iso
1. Screen Flickering -( non flickering )
2. Feel slow for 1.6ghz cpu (work very fast, will start in 10 seconds with SSD)
3. no wifi (godd work after disable Ethernet card on Settings)
4. cannot wake-up from sleep despite holding down ESC or Arrow Keys (Yes, cannot wake-up, bat I solver this problem - Disable sleep screen)
for me an unsolved problem now
- keyboard Lenovo does not change modes English-Russian. only change mode En-Ru on screen keyboard
- and mini problem, all sites are loaded in the mobile mode, not very convenient.
PS. I formating android partition in EXT2 for SSD long life and fast work files system!!!! EXT2 no logging files system! for SSD and fast Read-Write it's good.

How to change Nvidia Shield Tablet K1 Resolution from 1920x1200 to 1920x1080?

How to change Nvidia Shield Tablet K1 Resolution from 1920x1200 to 1920x1080?
Basically they have this feature built in if you connect the HDMI cable to the tablet... then the tablet reboot in 1920x1080 and displays only on the HDMI screen (the tablet screen is off)
When you disconnect the HDMI cable it drops a notification every 1-2 minutes do you want to reboot back to normal 1920x1200 resolution and it keep asking till you agree and reboot.
My question is how i can turn it to 1920x1080 or just how to disable the notification that pop up over the screen?
I prefer not to root the device if its possible.
Nvidia Shield Tablet K1 working on Android 6
Thanks.
Hi, came across your question wile looking for a solution as well. I do have a work around for the constant ask for revert from console mode. But not sure if it works on Android 6. I'm on 5.1 still. Hate 6. I do the Console mode remove HDMI thing. Then I go on a rampage force stoping EVERYTHING I find running. I go to Settings/App/Running and force stop everything. Then the Show cached processes, also stop everything. (and I mean Everything I see, including all those google thing I dont need running at the time, tho most will turn themselves on again) Then to the 'All' apps tab and look for everything Nvidia/Shield related and force stop it. And it works. The nagging stop. I haven't figured out what is it that stop the message as I did this once on a rage for that stupid message and since it worked I do it like that every time. And I've play for well over 2+ hours without the message popping up
Oh, also, I don't have a controller but I have All-In-One Toolbox, that I also run to close everything after all the force stops. Just in case. Well with that app you can have a toolbar on the notification and add a 'Recent app' there. Which you can not only use to switch but if you tap it and then tap somewhere NOT on other apps you get send to Home screen. (Wish the add Home/Back as well)
I know it seems like a hassle. I only do this when I want to record something on Ultra and get 1920x1080 instead of that horrid 1728x1080.
OH! And the touch accuracy gets worst the closer you get to the upper/lower borders (on landscape) due to touch screen reading the 1200 pixels on a 1080 shrunk image. Takes some getting used too, but worthy to capture on an OCD friendly video resolution.
I'm on Stock 5.1.1, not root.
Gonna look for a ROM that can do 1080p and also keep the Navbar. And maybe even add 1 tap Screenshot/record shortcuts for the navbar. Old cheap tablet used to have that screenshot button on the nav bar. Which was awesome for quick snap at those special gaming moments.
Anyways, since you have 6, try going Settings/Apps/All and force stop everything Nvidia/Shield related. And let me know how it works. Running apps 5.1.1 management is one of the things that keep me on in. And how micro SD works.
Hope it helps.

Resoluition:
Root, terminal emulator, commands(enter):

wm size - displays current res.
wm size 1080x1920 - it will change yours res. Restart.
All this things you can do with adb, without root.
Notifications&popup - go to - settings - sound & notify - applications - disable what you want.

Hi,
Thank you for your reply.
I tried to force stop but it still pop up the notification to restore to 1920x1200.
About the Android 6, I love it Because of the SD format that turns your SD to be a part of your device storage.
I have a controller so i can navigate even without the nav bars
If i will find something i will update here.

Thanks for this post, it was answer to what I wanted to do with my tablet - getting full screen for HDMI output without console mode, which frankly would be actually worse even if it did't puck up with my Dualshock 3 (console mode for some reason closes/disables the DualShock 3 connection with the sixaxis app from Play Store) - when using Mirror mode I can use my Dualshock 3 fine and using terminal before starting to play makes the screen look glorious, especially with games like sonic 2 android or Final Fantasy IX android.

Advice. General Dynamics Itronix GD300. ROM update wanted

Hi guys
this is my first post, so please excuse if I describe things incorrectly.
First of all I bought the device about 5 years ago and haven't really tried to do anything with it. These are made mainly for battlefield operations, so have 3 attractive features that I wanted.
1. Daylight viewable screen
2. Rugged construction and case.
2. High accuracy GPS
I intend to use this as a navigation aid on a sailboat. It has the advantage of the case incorporating slots so that it can be worn on your forearm using suitable (velcro) straps
So to the advice needed. I recharge it recently and turned it on. It boots to home screen OK
But as soon as I touch the screen I get an errors (typically Application Android keyboard (in process com.android.inputmethod.latin) is not responding))
If iI select Force close I get a 2nd error
The process android.process. acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
If i select Force close, sometimes it just comes back, sometimes the screen changes just to the status bar.
If I wait for the screen to go to power save and then select the power button, the home screen comes back. Then I go around the loop again.
This isn't always the sequence of events and varies, but essentially the device is unusable.
So to my question is there a way of bring this back to life? Possibly by loading a suitable ROM? ( there is no support for this from what I can find on the web)
Or maybe just use as a paper weight?
It does have an SD card slot
It also only has a power button, menu button, home button and a back/return button. No volume buttons.
Thanks in advance for your advice/input

Sorry for not fully reading the thread title (which I should have done).
Unfortunately, your phone is very old. On the spec list it does not even list what Android version it is running. (I assume that it is something like android 1.6). I don't know how to debug these old devices. I could not find any info on how to debug devices this old. The only info I came along is about an old phone with android 1.6 and it has fastboot. Can you boot your phone into fastboot? From there you may be able to reset the phone. Here is the guide for another old phone about resetting it (also look at the 1st reply, don't try the 2nd reply commands they will break your phone).

Maybe I am missing something, was there a link in your reply to the old phone you mentioned? If you provide that I'll have a go at resetting through fastboot.
Its definitely old, I reckon Android 1.6 is about right. I'd be happy to re-flash it with that if possible.
cheers

Bliss OS 11.13 GMS Stable - Touchscreen issue

Hi, I have a intel atom Z3735F tablet - Cube IWORK8. I've installed Bliss OS 11.13 GMS.
The thing is that the touchscreen works only when I turn on the tablet with the USB keyboard plugged into the micro-usb OTG port on the device. Once the tablet loads Bliss OS, I can unplug the keyboard and touchscreen works until I restart/turn off the tablet. When I launch it without keyboard plugged in, touchscreen doesn't work at all. Do you know why this might happen?
What I may add is that on every launch, no matter what I get below error. Yet, system loads.
Failed to initialize input device.
My BIOS Touch Pannel options:
Ntrig
MSSL
ChipOne
FocalTech
Goodix
Disabled
CPU Brand: Intel
CPU: Z3735F
Core: 1.8GHz,Quad Core
GPU: Intel HD Graphic(Gen7) 1280x800 px
To resolve this issue I had to install kernel 5.8 https://sourceforge.net/projects/blissos-dev/files/Android-Generic/PC/gearlock_extensions/
HI! Sorry to bother you but do you happen to have a step by step on how to install Bliss OS on a android Z3735 tablet? I have a chinese (Argentina manufactured or re branded) tablet with that processor and I´m hoping to be able to install Bliss OS to upgrade to at least Android 8. Thanks!

also getting the same problem
first time running after installation, everything works
then the touchscreen died
is there reference to install that kernel using gearlock?

have you been able to solve your issue?
after an installation, everything works well; auto rotation, volume and touchscreen.
but after that touchscreen does not work. auto rotate sometimes does not work.
volume buttons sometimes does not work. sometimes there's no audio.
And some persistent issues:
power button does not turn off the screen.
sometimes I need to long press power button to wake up device from sleep
I have an HP elite x2 G3 (kabylake core I5 cpu) and I also tried installing kernel 5.8 but no real effect.
