Hi,
I have android tv box :
T-R42 TV Box Rockchip RK3188 CPU
Running Android version 4.4.2.
Somehow when I run YouTube app. I get black screen (No video) only sound.
I tried to:
1. Remove and re-install the app.
2. Clear cache and data
3. Sign several WIFI networks
4. On system --> developer tools --> check: force GPU rendering + Disable HW overlays
Nothing helped.
Does anyone have a solution?
Thanks in advance

I've checked images of Xolo 8x 1100 but this device looks like not having software navigation buttons.
Anyway you can force enable recognition of software navigation buttons on Settings > Player > Software navigation buttons.
Same here, i use MX player since a long time ago, never had problems until UI redesing
I tried to check navigation buttons thing but didn't work, is annoying to watch videos with buttons there...
Try:
Settings > Player > Screen > Full screen = on
Settings > Player > Screen > Soft buttons = hide
Settings > Player > Software navigation buttons
Solved
Current beta build fix this problem, thanks.
Hi XDA members. This is my first post to XDA. Greetings to everyone. Only you people here can troubleshoot.
I have a Z80s smartwatch with MTK with specs:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Z80S 1.54 inch Android 5.1 3G Smartwatch Phone MTK6580 1.3GHz Quad Core 4GB ROM Pedometer Bluetooth GPS
Parameters:
Display: 1.54 inch 320 x 320 pixels IPS screen
CPU: MTK6580 Quad Core 1.3GHz
System: Android 5.1
RAM+ROM: 512MB RAM + 4GB ROM
Bluetooth: V4.0
SIM type: single nano SIM
Functions: GPS, Pedometer, Message, MP3, Gravity Sensor, Sound Recorder
Additional feature: simply lift your wrist, this watch screen will be bright, which makes it easy to view time
Network:
GSM: 850/900/1800/1900MHz
WCDMA: 2100MHz
---------------------------------------------------------------------
The very first time i started it the error msg appears:
[unfortunately android watch has stopped]
(i cannot insert a picture link of the problem- i need 10 posts)
I can never go to other screen so that i can reset it... there are another two keys on the right of the watch:
1. POWER ON/OFF and the other
2. GO BACK
i tried long press , continuous tap ...every combination during boot but no RESET option.
Anyone can help please
Worked after many trials
i tried every Windows app with adb:
1. Qtadb (Good app [ learned may things] - nonetheless did not solved)
2. Android MultiTools
3. Android App manager
-----------------------------
Last thing i tried is to root ( in my mind just to maybe enable system apps that could have been not initializing) using Kingo root
still the startup was messy ( error msg: unfortunately android watch has stopped)
then i saw a small (very small icon - a gift box like) appearing whenever i click OK under the above error msg)...which was an advertisement
when clicked: an advertisement appeared with a blue download button.... which i clicked ( where personally i use adblock on my PC hating ads)...
.....play store opened...and i realised ...to look for an app for factory reset on play store....
i just made a search on "factory reset" on play store (with high rating- i dnt remember something like S.R.P lab [author]) then after installed a green button displaying OPEN
- Smartwatch asked me to accept if System device want to reset....
and finally my device reset to factory default settings.......

i THANK xda FORUMS AGAIN... Not for problem today...but for other days where great information were helpful....
Poor english of mine....
Upgraded to S7 from S5 - everything is great, except I experience one very annoying issue: many YouTube videos I download for offline viewing (have YouTube Red) start freezing after a few minutes of watching. Sometimes they freeze right away. If I clear the YouTube cache and restart the app it works for a bit and then starts freezing again (the light circle in the middle is rotating and the video keeps frozen).
No freezing happens when I watch YouTube videos over the internet. Some offline videos work fine. But some consistently do not. Never had this issue with Galaxy S5.
Here is what I tried to fix this issue:
- Wiped cache partition
- Reinstalled YouTube (disabled, updated to new version) and restarted the phone
- Enabled Developer Options and Selected Force GRU rendering - this helped a bit, but did not resolve the issue
- Turned off hardware overlays in Developer Options.
- Turned on 4x MSAA in Developer Options.
- Cleared cache in Google Play app
- Switched download storage from SD to phone to eliminate any SD issue
Any ideas?
Hello,
my only idea is that there is not much to try when app crashes, all you can really do is check in the application settings (in the system settings of the phone and then "applications") if it has all the necessary permissions, clear cache as you did but I don't think it has anything to do with developer options like forcing GPU rendering.
So, all I can think of is:
- Write to Google to explain them the bug you encounter, they might have a solution or may release a fix in a future version of the app. As you use Youtube Red, you pay for a service, in the PlayStore you have been able to install the app so it means it's not incompatible with your S7, so you have the right to ask Google for a solution or a refund.
- Try to go on apkmirror and to get an older version of the app, maybe that bug wasn't there in earlier versions.
- Try to download offline videos with LTE, or with Wifi, to see if that change anything. Maybe your LTE connection or Wifi connection isn't stable and cause downloaded files to be corrupted.
Sorry, that's all I can help you with...
EDIT: I don't know how Youtube Red works about downloading videos, but can you choose the quality? Like 360p ou 1080p for example? If yes, then maybe try different quality settings to see if that has any influence on your bug.
In the end, I would probably it is a problem of corrupted files, or a codec problem maybe. I guess you can only read those videos with the Youtube app? If ever the videos are downloaded really like video files in your phone's memory, then maybe you could try an alternate video player to read them (but my guess is that they can only be read from the youtube app).

Use at your own risks.
Its a beta version, CrDrold OS ported to Android 7.1.2
What works:
+ Led-indication (LED) works both on the drain (green / red)
+ SMS receives and sends.
+ 2 / 3G catches including mobile Internet.
+ GPS works.
+ WiFi (including as an access point).
+ BT with my clock synchronized and files transferred.
+ FM-radio-works (in any case, hisses)))
+ Various multimedia
+ Standard browser works
+ 2x windowed mode works
+ For those to whom it is important - Association of drives, checked-works.
+ LiveDispley - night mode, read mode, blue filter no matter how the review, in general it works and almost without animation brakes.
+ Additional button - works
+ Camera. As it should be 8mp rear, 5mp front, both flashes, does not blush, does not green, photos are saved, the video is removed, autofocus plows.
+ Engineering menu-works, call through the utility.
+ Compass (patch below)
+ System ROOT - activate and control access in the "for developers" menu / Beta2 uses SuperSu .
+ Google Playmarket - of all gaps the current it. So it was at the source and it suits me. All the rest download through the market.
Not works:
* Beta2 - WiFi does not work immediately after installation. It is treated with a patch on the compass! (ie one patch will fix both that and another)
* Connecting and using the bluetooth headset causes terrible brakes
* Some video on YouTube (via the application) break up into squares. Through the browser, everything loses normally. I'm using Tubemate and everything is ok.
Installation:
As zip-installer through TWRP, preliminary making wipe dalvick, cache, system, data . In an ideal and internal memory it is also desirable to wipe

App that i'm using to watch TV channels has apparently screen mirroring / casting disabled. Is there a way to make app to allow mirroring? I have two rooted phone (Magisk, Android 9 & Android 11).
App menus etc are shown when mirroring, but when starting to stream, only audio is available and video is all black.
I would like to get this app working on Android Auto
Follow Xposed Taichi Methods to screen mirror the app by disabling flag secure
