My godness this is amazing!!
Sorry bout the question.. This lux is my everyday-driver (or so, is the device that i use everyday)
What's working and whats is not?
I really want to have oreo on this baby <3
Device does not boot. Stuck at boot logo. Any fix available or do we have to wait for an update?
1. Plz do not post any most awaited files before proper test.
2. Posting any other devs file without his permission is against XDA rule.
Thanks.

I tried it although it installed after showing the bootloader warning it just went to the fast boot screen without showing any boot logo whatsoever. Guess there is a reason why this isn't public yet.

Hey guys.
I made a small batch file that will flash the 2nd Bootloader and TWRP recovery to the 2012 Kindle Fire HD 7".
I also included adb and fastboot executables so that it can be used without Android SDK.
But I need someone to have a look at this thing to make sure that it works. I don't want to brick anyone's device.
Please PM me if you want to test it.
Thanks.

I try and tell you, I just read the message
Everything installed well, what i did not try was the backup option because im not running stock.
I have tried(successfully)

Option 3
Option 4
Awesome tool and im sure it has taken a while to do it! so you have a Go from me. maybe someone with stock can try Option 2, I was looking at the tool in notepad++ and all seems to be correct so i don't think there would be a problem doing the backup.! :good:

Hi, I have this device, but its my daily driver and I had several occurrences where Chinese devices break down, so I'd like to preserve warranty. After it expires I'll start developing for it full time. Now I need someone who could test it.

Oh I get it, I have a galaxy s6 as my daily driver too and, since I'm from Italy, I dont care about chinese phones warranty (it would cost me more the delivery and time waiting lol).
Btw sticking back to topic, I've tried to flash through twrp the latest 0119 build but it gives back error (during flashing in twrp) saying "wrong model, this is for f5 and device model is m2" o.0

Flash using my recovery. Twrp doesn't come from a trusted source (the dev didn't even supply the source code), so I cant tell anything about it. But this error is because I changed the device id from some very strange retarded one (something like this: x59_dg) to a more user readable f5. You could remove the lines that check for the device id (should be the first ones) from the updater-script inside the flashable zip.

Looks like it's the same problem NV-Dev had..
Maybe if I build for 10.1 it will work?
In my compilations he came to bootanimation and stayed there, and the ADB worked, but died of nowhere.

Hey,
since @HridayHS seems to have stopped working on LOS 14.1 I decided to continue and finish his work. Unfortunately I don't own the device so I am very dependent on you guys as testers at this point.
Below is a first build linked that was just freshly built but I have no idea if it even boots (it should though). Please test it and report back. Thank you!
What's working:
-> nothing
What's not working:
-> The builds do *NOT* boot yet! Thus I removed the download links for now to avoid confusion.
Downloads:
MOD EDIT: Removed link to broken, untested builds.
The first boot will take quite a long time as I disabled compile-time optimizations for now. I will include them in later stages of development again but first I wanna have a working image
If it boots, great! Test everything and let me know what works and what does not. If it does *not* boot please post a last_kmsg and logcat if possible

I was wondering about the same but I guess it's due to missing optimizations (dex2oat will run on first bootup and not at compile time).
Edit: You might still be right. Something's wrong with the vendor folder... Let's see...

Not booting up
And in my case stuck at mi logo
I think i used dualboot patcher thats why
I will test again without dualboot and tell
And to every tester i suggest to make full emmc dump of yr device for safety in case any hardbrick occurs
thanks for informing. will test the next build.
Now I combined your kernel with rr5.8.3, rr5.8.2 and Los14.1 still reboot every 5 sec.
It seems to be something wrong with your boot.img
how to make emmc dump?

For dirty flashing, I noticed that if you have gapps installed then you must also flash them after flashing the new build of the rom. Otherwise it gets stuck at boot animation.

Yes but other ROMs at least boot, at first I thought it's some issue with the ROM itself.

Try restarting the phone, it has happened to me, too with some other roms. I don't know, I tried it on my own global M9T pro, with global 12.0.1.0 and it worked.
