Can a Allwinner t3 with Android 6.0.1 be rooted and how? - General Questions and Answers

Thanks for taking the time to read my question! A few months back I bought this cheap car head unit:
ALLWINNER t3
Android 6.0.1 KOT49H
Although it works quite all right (considering the price) the operating system is hardly customizable. Even basic OS updates cannot be installed. To get acces to the full OS I 'd thought I 'd better root it. Turned out to be impossible... so far.
I tried software options while finally One Click Root congratulated me. "The device can be rooted". But when problems occured the helpdesk just said "the device cannot be rooted."
Problem seems to be that installation of OS is so right that there is no acces to Developers Mode and USB debugging. Can this device not be rooted or anyone familiar with a workaround?

Try installing SRT Appscanner from Play Store, let me know if it says vulnerable next to either bug please.
After trying several applications this windows application rooted my m76 tablet in a few seconds: mgyun.com/vroot
Windows app is Chinese, superuser application is Chinese and I don't know if it can be trusted. Anyway now I should be able to replace superuser app.

[Q] Need help finding firmware

I've been searching two months looking for firmware for my device and haven't found anything that works like the original firmware did.
My tablet is a Trio Stealth G4 10.1 8gb (MST-1041). It got messed up after I tried installing cwm which froze and when my tablet rebooted it just said installation error over and over again.
Things that I could find out about this tablet ...
Allwinner A31Series with AP6210, was running 4.4.2 (KOT49H), exdroid 4.4.2_r2-a31-v4.6
This is where it gets hard. The board says INET-Q101-REV02 Zeng-gc 2014-03-08, and on the underside iQ101-BT CT 8010/2.
Does anyone know of a firmware for this device or is compatible with this device? Some other questions, what's the difference between Q101 and Q102?

A Custom ROM for 'Moorefield' (Dell Venue 8 7840)

First let me say; I am not a developer. I do not work in the software industry and I have no experience writing code. At home I do run a dual boot system (Kubuntu 20 & Windows10) and I have previously successfully installed LineageOS on a couple of older devices (a Dell Streak 7, Samsung Galaxy S4 and more recently a Nokia 6.2). So, I have a rough idea on how to accomplish an install if there's a clear path toward the goal lol.
I have a (rooted, unlocked) Dell Venue 8 7840 running Android 5.1 and I'd like to see if I can load a custom ROM to update to maybe Android 7. I realize a 5 year old tablet (with Intel Atom Z3580/2.3 GHz quad-core) won't likely be capable of running anything as recent as even Android 10. But this device seems to be a unicorn of sorts. That is, I can find no mention of codename 'moorefield' on any developer message board threads.
How can I support development of a custom ROM for my device? I have used ADB before and can provide copies of any files that might be needed for creation of so-called "proprietary blobs". I find it confusing and misleading that; in order to build a custom ROM someone needs to have previously written one for you device.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can proceed?
I have the same device and the same questions. Everytime I go to get rid of the device I pick it up and fall in love with it again. I still haven;t found a device that is better weight and size wise. I would love to use for a different purpose but Anroid 5.1 holds it back.
How did u rooted the device

Help ~ getting an unbranded tablet to run google home?

Hello all, this is my first post.
I have joined the site because I am looking for help with an unbranded tablet that I have.
I would like to use this tablet as a very basic wall mounted control point for google home, in order to control my smart lights and other smart devices.
However, the tablet is old and has an old version of android. Subsequently it appears that google home cannot be installed on it.
It will also not update to a newer version, potentially because the 'firmware' is unsupported? I am unsure because this is all very new to me.
Because the tablet doesn't appear to have a 'brand', I am struggling to find any support or step by step instructions.
I know very little about 'flashing, roms, rooting etc., however I have managed to root it through kingo, but don't know what needs to happen next.
The device info is:
Model: N98
Allwinner A33 quadcore,
Android 4.4.2 (kitkat?)
Firmware: V2.0
Kernal ver' 3.4.39
Build number: astar_y3-eng 4.4.2 KVT49L 20151208 test-keys
I've also included a couple of photos of its motherboard.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and what steps I need to take just to get google home up and running on it,
thank you very much in advance

S28 Pro+ help required

I am looking for info on my s28 pro+ (Chinese) phone.
It alledgedly has Android 11 installed but looking deeper with version check app it shows as only Android 4.4.2
I believe it to be the 4.4.2 as various apps etc do not install and it is a nightmare.
I would like info on any way of updating it properly.
Has anyone got this model and can help further with finding manufacturer so that I can delve deeper please?
it is correct it is not android 11 if not 4.4.2
maybe it's an outdated cell phone since it's chinese
try to go to settings/about/system update
if when you press update system it comes out that it is in the last update
It was probably scammed, so if you can, return it and say it's not Android 11.
it's not android 11 it's a modified rom to say it's android 11 but it's not
even this is not the correct cell phone model to confirm everything install cpu-z in play store
Thanks for your advice so far.
Bootloader unknown (see attached).
Reply from Seller was-
"please don't use irregular apps to detect devices. This kind of apps are mainly aimed at big-brand mobile phones, with pre-preset parameters of brand mobile phones. We are OEM versions of Chinese factories, and they don't have pre-preset parameters, so they are not sure"
I have searched for a firmware for this supposed cell phone model and I can't find it.
may i ask where or from which site this mobile was purchased and can it be returned?
