Battery mod, always on? - Moto Z Accessories

Question. I leave my battery mod on all the time, and I was just wondering if that would hurt my battery in the long run. I have a moto z droid edition

Moto updated the software and now you can turn off the battery until you actually want to use it.

[Q] Bought new Battery Need Help! (T-Mobile G2X)

I just got a new battery for my phone from t-mobile and want to make sure to charge and break it in right from the start. I currently own a G2X and am a rookie when it comes to knowing about kernels, roms and etc (i have been studying little by little). I have a somewhat good understanding and have tried a couple things to get my battery life right. When I first got my G2X, I played with it right out of the box for about 5 minutes and the battery was at 30% from about 35%, then I only let it charge to about 80% and had to leave. I have ONLY had one good day of battery usage and that was after my first day of using setCPU & being rooted. It is currently rooted using the unlockr tutorial, "setCPU" from the market and have only one profile for "screen off" 216min-456max. I have read at least 70% of the battery threads about my phone already. I turn off gps, wi-fi and have screen brightness set to auto. Also I have deleted qik video, t-mobile account app and all the other major bloatware that comes with the phone but still get bad battery life. If you guys want, I can post a picture of my juice plotter battery stats. Please help me out i'm looking to bring in my new battery the right way or fix my old one and have the new one as a spare.
Edit:I put this in the wrong thread. excuse my noob/rookie mistake lol. sorry

[Q] What drains my battery life after installing cyanogenmod 10 for lg p500?

Hi, noob here.
I'm in fact happy to upgrade from my horrible and outdated firmware (2.2) of my LG p500 to Cyanogenmod 10. there is only one (major) problem: my battery life fell to roughly 12 hours even when the screen is mostly off and the battery statistics tells me that it is mostly drained by the screen (50-70%, which does not make sense). I tried installing Easy Battery Saver only to see that it gives me the same stats and does nothing I can't do via the settings.
I don't want to disable wi-fi or mobile networks when the phone is sleeping, I need them. I don't want to deep sleep it. I just want to know what causes this sharp fall in battery life.
Is it because of the updated OS, kernel, whatever? Is it another service that I didn't have in the old firmware? Or is it just my battery being worn out when I was struggling with it trying to install a custom rom for the first time?
Thanks in advance for all the replies.
Think its the kernel, try reflashing it
Sent from my ST25i using xda app-developers app
Go to Settings > Battery, and it tells you what's consuming most of your battery.
If the battery usage doesn't seem to reflect your actual usage pattern, you can try re-flashing.

thanks for the replies. by re-flashing, do you mean I have to flash the rom all over again or just the kernel? and how can I do it?
Make sure that your phone is able to go into deep sleep. If not, your battery will be drained as well.

i have samsung 9001 and it was stock GB rom. after installing JB on it my battery time was reduced by around 10-20%. i think ICS and JB need little more battery than GB. or am i wrong?

[Q] Evo 3D

Hallo to everyone.
I am a new owner of an Evo 3D rooted.
And I have a lot of questions..
My phone has the Leedroid_3D_V5.4 and the Rom is 1.20.401.2
.
My first problem is that as I was playing with the devivce yesterday( I put some new lunchers just for fun) I open Leedroid tweaks and I disable the HTC sense.
Since then Leedroid tweaks do not open and I get an error message and the only option I have is to force close the app...
I uninstall the GO launcher and every other launnher I had in my phone in order to get my Htc sense back but nothing happened...
What should I do....???
I also have another problem with my battery..My battery dries too fast...I know that the battery is one of the cons of this device but my problem is bigger...It last only 6-8 hours depends on the use...I think that it is not normal...I dont have data on and I am doing a normal use...
My question here is ''Should I get another battery or should I get another rom''??Which of the two is the problem???
Thank you very much
for the second question you posted about battery life. It could be either the battery, the rom, or just normal use. I use SOS M for the evo 3d and after a full day I usually have 50% or less battery life left. Prior to that on the stock rom by phone would barely have any life left in it after a full day. I would say try out another rom first just to test the battery life. If that doesn't work then you probably need a new battery.

[Q] Moto G battery drain

Hello!
I have battery problems with my Moto G (Im runnig the last version of Pac-ROM). cLock (com.cyanogenmod.lockclock) needs 25-50% of my hole battery. Frozing/ deactivate of cLock dont earns anything
Keepco
Simple wipe+reflash helps

Significant battery drain on the G7 - Possible solution.

Since I started using the G7 I've noticed some significant battery drain for normal usage. I couldn't make it a full day (w/ 3-4 SOT) before i needed to charge it. After adjusting every setting I could find, even doing a factory reset, I believe I may have stumbled onto the issue... Moto Display.
After disabling Moto Display, I've seen a boost to my battery life (picture below of current status). I believe the battery drain comes from Moto Displays 'Approach to Wake' option which keeps the sensor on, and sucking up battery. You could try and turn that option off instead of disabling Moto Display entirely.
I haven't seen any postings about this online, but I have read a lot of postings about the poor battery life on the G7 - and this may be the culprit, It has definitely improved my battery life and may help yours. As always - Your mileage may very.
- Disabling Moto Display
Code:
Settings App > Apps & Notifications > See All > Moto Display > [COLOR="red"]Disable[/COLOR]
OR
- Turning off A2WU
Code:
Moto App > Moto Peek > Approach to Wake Up > [COLOR="Red"]Turn Off[/COLOR]
Trying it out, thanks for the tip. Will let you know how it goes.
One more screenshot for the day...
I do wish I took some screenshots of how piss poor my battery life was before disabling A2WU. Its such a night and day difference.
I guess this is the culprit for bad battery life on my G7+ too. I'll check back here in a couple of days. Great you found this out!
Just disabled Moto display here. I had approach to wake up disabled from day one though. i hope this works. I had to get my mother a replacement phone after she broke her old moto e 2015. Got her the MotoOne Macro...the battery life seems to be almost static its that good in comparison to my G7plus Her phone has only lost 5% in 24 hours with 4g on, and my G7plus lost 40% on standby with battery saver on and airplane mode Funny thing is the system says nothing is draining the battery. I also uninstalled my Norton antivirus as I am wondering if that is a hidden cultprit too. Will have to see how the next few days go
