This is where I have concerns I dont know why sometimes I go to work come home still about 75% and sometimes 52%.
The cell phone is not allowed my workplace so use it only my break times. Steaming music from apple music, some facebook, web browsing.

Have you tried running the telephone manager app? and optimized it a lot + clearing old cache and such? I do this a lot and from my work around 10:00AM to 2:00-3:00PM when I'm home it only have dropped like 5% from 100% or some times it even stays 100% when I get home. So then when I start using it then it goes 100% down to 99% so yeah.
So I don't have any drain issue here.

can last a day for light usage (24 hours)
I usually drain it with around 35 - 40 % per day with light usage...very good.
I get ~40hrs with light usage
it usually lasts me 3 days, with around 5 hours of screen on time and 10% battery left. it's worth mentioning that sync is off and i don't use battery draining apps, like facebook or messenger.
3 days with 4-5 hours SOT but mainly on wifi, 30 mins calls a day and MiBand connected.
i never get 24 hour in light use
meybe aroud 16-18 hour
maybe because may place didnt have good celular signal
For me, after several weeks with LOS installed, the battery comsumption is exactly as others here found it, 30-40% a day with light usage

I lose about 3% an hour while I sleep. No other phone I've owned has drained that much.
I'm sure it's an app sucking the juice out of it.... I've restored it back to clean factory setting 3 times, after a few weeks it always goes back to about 3% an hour.
I uses Gsam battery monitor, but it shows nothing out of the ordinary other than: System, Samsux DeX (which I don't use), or the Kernel is usually really high.
I LOVE everything else about this phone, other than this.
did your mobile data is always on while u sleep? bcoz for me it drains only 3 percent after 7 hrs of sleep with mobile data off.
with mobile data 10% battery drain after 7hrs
I have the same problem, with mobile data ON...phone drains 3% overnight (8hours).
My old Samsung S6 drains 0-1% over night with cell radio on.
all draining apps optimized with brevent.
battery draining apps disabled with BK Disabler + some gapps services disabled
volte + wifi calling off.
gsam and better battery stats show no problems.
But Android Battery statistics show high cell standby drain.
I think it is a modem issue.
I have got an G950F with DBT Firmware
I lose 0.5% overnight.
Not per hour... but over the whole night.
No AOD.
Disabled bixby and all bixby services.
Disabled anything related to Samsung's voice services.
4% in 6 hours (bad lte 1-2, wifi on)

I lose 3% an hour too. I have an old Galaxy Note 3 on Resurrection Remix 5.8.3 (Android 7.1.2) that lasts 25 days on standby. It's the stupid LagWiz bloated OS!
I have the same issue.. even in day or night it drains 3-4% per hour with AOD off. on Power saving mode.
Not sure what to do.
I was having massive standby drain, even with Greenify, then I set up the phone with these settings https://www.xda-developers.com/the-...r-community-radically-improved-my-experience/ (see "Linked a screenshot) and uninstalled Greenify (read somewhere that it can get into a loop of auto hibernation which drains battery) and wow! from 4 to 5% an hour to 2% over 7 hours so am very chuffed!
Hi there, new to the forum and just wanted to share me experience of the standby drain.
I usually put my my phone off when i go to sleep, but afther reading this tread i wanted to test how much my phone drains over night...

It is because of the android apps that is running in background. It keeps running if you are connected to the internet. If you checked which cause battery drains you will come to know that majority of apps are consuming too much power. It is better to install those apps which requires less space and don't updates frequently. Gaming Apps, Time management Apps, Fitness Apps, News Apps are updated almost everyday. So it is good to uninstall it if you are not using it.
I have seen many people who install so many apps but never used any which is not only uses the spaces but also consume the battery power.

I wish i can remap it into sound/vibrate just like an iphone or one plus toggle.
You can remap it easily, just use bxactions app, works well.

after i disabled all the bixby services, using bxactions doesn't do anything. And i cannot use control mode on bxactions too because i don't have windows machine unfortunately.
You need bixby home and voice to be active to remap the button with bx actions

i just tried, it's kinda hit and miss action. Perhaps i need to use control mode to get it fully working.
same issue. i got both the s8 and s8+, both lost 15% after 7-8 hours sleep...
after some normal usage the battery dies arround 5pm everyday... this is really annoying.
the battery is the biggest but the only disappointment on my s8 and s8+, hopefully this can be fixedby system patch on some day.

Can last 2 days with light usage.
This phone shines at light use. A little behind the Honor 8 Pro though.
With light usage I usually ends up with 60% before bed time. I rarely bring it to the next day without charging because I plug the phone to the charger when I got up and I got full charge when I go to work.
Depending on how lite your usage is. You maybe able to get up to 3 days battery life from the Honor 9.
That requires very light usage.

I don't have SIM in it. I use this phone as a second device at home just to watch movies, youtube and whatsapp group chat. Maybe coz I don't have sim in it that's why I got such screen on time. Also I have restricted the Background activity under the Battery section of most of the apps (apps that I have downloaded, excluding the stock google apps), means it won't refresh itself in the background but only when I open it. Try that. Don't worry you will still get your Push notifications as its dependent on background data usage, which is a separate setting.
My brightness it set to auto. Location off. Bluetooth off. Battery saver auto turn-on set at 15%. That's all.
I have attached the screenshot of running services that you can check under developer settings.

One more thing. My battery is in really good condition, atleast I hope so. I wish there was a way to check the charge cycle count and battery capacity like with iPhones. I bought the phone on october 2019 and since then I have only charged the phone with a samsung 5V 1.5A charger or via PC 1.5A USB charging. With the provided nokia 2A charger I found that my phone gets warm while charging. Heat degrades phone batteries so I stopped charging with the provided charger.

A good 5-6 days with 6+ hrs screen on time with medium power savings turned on, greenify in non root mode , disabling apps I don't use and using always night mode with dark wallpaper and keyboard and dark YouTube.
My use is Web browsing, music, some YouTube ( a max of 3 hrs combined)
More than endurance I am concerned with battery health. I have charged mine for like 3 times uptil now and Samsung phone info app reports battery health as 98 %.
My phone is less than month old.
Hi Guys, I have this phone since 1st july, if I use "lightly" my A70 I can get 4-5 days battery life. SOT 7-8 Hrs. With heavy use 1,5 day max. not bad.
