I see people talking about checking their warranty status using HiCare but when I run HiCare I see nothing about my warranty. I've looked at every tab and see nothing about it. Am I missing something?
Once you registered your details with Huawei /Honor and logged in once on the page for warranty you have to input your phones details to see th warranty details.
in hicare app just click warrenty status icon and enter the imei adress simple you will get the warranty details

I'm having the same issue. Have you frozen anything via titanium backup and/or bloat freezer?
I just checked mine, it said no updates were available. No errors at this time, let me go and start randomly uninstalling crap and then i'll check again.
No problems here, system is up to date, no updates are available at this time
Nothing that should be of value like weather and news. Also, att address. I unfroze them just in case and it made no difference.

Yeah I unfroze all and I still get it. If you figure it out let us know and I"ll do the same.
When I check for update it says "check for update is not available at this time. Try again later." Is that what its supposed to say?

Hello,
First of all, I'm totally new to all the rooting/unlocking stuff on android. I am trying to unlock my TF700T (as first step) to install CROMBi-kk in order to get a smoother tablet + 4.4
Well I've downloaded the unlocking .apk directly from ASUS (v7) and started it to unlock it - but an error occurs: unknown error / network blabla.
After using some google, I found out that I maybe have to enable USB-Debugging or stuff like that - tried it, didnt work. Then I read something about that the serialnumber has to be registered with the devicetracker of ASUS. So I went to the page, logged in with my google account and entered my serialnumber -> error: time-out. Next I changed to my PC and went to the devicetracker site: Again I login with my google account and there it is a TF700T. After the page loads for ages a worldmap is shown in the background but still with a Loading label.
So my question is, what can I do to make it work? Are the servers maybe really down? And the networking error is really a networking error? Or is it a problem that I am sitting in germany?
Havent registered the product in any way so maybe thats a problem?
Turn off your firewall or use a mobile tethering hotspot. Also try unlocked v8.
Unfortunately a very common problem of Asus not having your tablet registered correctly in their database.
Email Asus support, attach a screenshot of your About Tablet page and tell them you cannot register for Device Tracker. Do not even mention you want to unlock! They do not waste resources on helping you to unlock.
Send them an email a day (including the screenshot) until you get a response. Send them two emails a day if they do not resolve it right away. Send then 3 emails a day - you get the picture....
You have to be persistent and turn yourself into a polite PITA.
Keep trying to unlock throughout the whole procedure. It may take dozens of attempts.

Please let us all know how this method of getting Asus to respond works for you. I have mailed them several times and nothing has been done. Mine is still not unlocking. But, I never did try being THIS persistant.
Good luck!
Same Problem, now Solved!
I contacted Customer support and told them that i am a teacher who has had items stolen in the past ( truth), and i needed to register device tracker. the customer support person asked for a screenshot of the error, my serial number and MAC address. She said the would send it to HQ, and get back to me once the solved the problem... That was last thursday. This morning i got an e-mail from her with the all clear. I was able to signup with device tracker. I will try to unlock later today when i get home from work, but i think i should be able to. will update when i get home and try to unlock the tablet.

I love the work arounds we have to go through to use the device how we want to and not how Asus wants us to! :good:
Now be thankful this isn't Apple we are dealing with

My Oneplus gets "This is a lost phone" message intermittently every day with my loud ringtone. It stops when I press the okay button. This is despite me having it in silent mode.
Since this happens only during my office hours, where I have to leave my phone silent always, I am unable to investigate it rather than just press the OK button and it disappears.
I have my device manager activated in the phone. Thought it was previously my Theftie app which was activated, which I deactivated but the message keeps coming on every day.
Any way how to stop this?

just to rule out, can you remove both and see if you still get the message ? or have you already tried that ?

next time as soon as the incident happens , can you check which wakelock was running ? Use wakelock detector app from google play.
It would be interesting which application is invoking this event !!
I did download wakelock detector but it says it needs root access since KitKat upgrade. Maybe will root it when time permits.
Meanwhile had another instance of the event, when I received a text from an number not in the Contacts. If I remember correctly, it happened yesterday as well when I received a text from a number not in Contacts list.
Really annoying that it happened during a meeting.
Where did you get your phone?

Got it in US, but I have now moved back to UK though.
Still have the same problem, but have figured out that it happens when I receive a text from a number not on my contacts list. Have not had a chance to root it though
Make a Backup and do a factory reset.

Just throwing out ideas here, are your Locations turned on ? Maybe since it came from the US and you moved to the UK it "sees" that you are not in the US anymore and that is why it is doing this ?

I do have the Location turned on most of the time. Even when I got it in US from oneplus directly, I have used my same UK sim there as well on roaming.
I have done a backup and reset and it sill happens!
Block the text number and uncheck the settings in device manager and change your gmail password. If it still works after a factory reset and make sure you do not restore your software. It sounds like what I do to my son when he does not pick up the phone I make it ring and I do it through device manager because I have his info...
Did you initially bought it from OnePlus, or did you buy it from another user?

How many text numbers can I block? SInce I am in sales, I get many calls and texts from numbers not in my contact list.
I have unchecked the settings in the device manager and deactivated it. Changed the gmail password a week ago as well, and the problem persists

Yes, done all that is possible. Only thing remaining is rooting the phone (i dont want to unlock the bootloader for that thought)
You could try doing a Backup und then a factory reset.
Not sure if you already got a custom recovery

Quit sure you can block quite a few... If all of what we have suggested still does not work may I suggest you selling your phone and buying another one. Hey try putting sim card in another phone and see if that phone has the same result
My Iball andi 5k panther is sending SMS automatically everyday after every few hours.I just get a pop up saying Message sent, 1 RS deducted. It doesn't show any number to which SMS was sent I do have built in app permission manager as it is running on android 4.4.2 and I have denied permission to all outgoing sms.So there is no question of any app sending out SMS at least that's what I think. This is a fairly new mobile and still under warranty. I am using Reliance as my network provider.I called reliance cust care to check if any VAS services got mistakenly activated from their end but they denied any such services. They also gave me the number where messages were being sent. I tried calling that number but it never rings and just get disconnected. Since this cell is still under warranty I took it to the store. At first even they looked puzzled but then they formatted my cell which cleared all the downloaded apps leaving only the default apps which came with the mobile. After few hours again a message was sent out and I got the same pop up Message sent 1 RS deducted. I don't know what to do.This seems to be one of a kind problem. Please someone help me.Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am planning to go back to the store since it is still under warranty but I have very little hope considering the solution they provided me the very first time. I downloaded few apps apart from the default apps and they all seems good like MX player, whatsapp,Hike,Adobe reader & Smart App lock.
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. Looks to me like there's some built in app that's operating behind the scenes. You could do some further investigation if you root the device, but rooting the device will almost definitely void your warranty so that probably isn't a viable option. I'd return to the from which you bought the phone and let them know that the problem is still occurring even after a factory reset, meaning that the problem lies with the stock firmware. Honestly, I'd be asking for my money back, this all seems very shady to me.
Good luck!
Update from @[email protected]:
Hi,
Thanks for your reply to my post regarding my Iball mobile sending SMS automatically to an unknown number.Just wanted to let you know that recently I installed 360° antivirus in my cell and after in depth scan it listed COM.STS as a Trojan which is deep rooted in my ROM.It also explained the Trojan as (1) Forced auto start (2) Send SMS without warning (3) Steals users personal information (4) Users risk permission that do not comply with software attributes. It also detected system vulnerability which included Fraudulent text broadcast.
Now I have the proof and can get this cell replaced with a new one.Just wanted to post this as an answer to my question but for some reason my thread is closed and I don't know how to open it.So I chose to send you a msg in pvt.
I would appreciate if you post this as an answer to my question so it could help someone in need.

I get a notification from Samsung a few times a day asking me to accept Samsung's new terms and conditions. I have followed the link countless times I've logged into my Samsung account I have accepted the terms and conditions but the notification keeps coming up. Because of this it is preventing me from using the app store directly from the watch (can still download from my phone to watch) and is also preventing me from backing up my watch. The notification is very annoying and I would love to figure out why this is happening.
Anyone have a fix for this?
No one?
Can you check in Odin Mode... if Warranty Void is still:
Code:
0 (0x0000)
And if you are using stupid Reactivation Lock...
Best Regards
Doesn't show.
And no activation lock @adfree
I have forgotten Verizon have Software Revision 1 of Bootloader sboot.bin and it seems so no text about Warranty Void...
Reactivation Lock OFF is good IMHO.
1 idea is to log...
The other idea is to short deactivate Samsung Account App...
I have at the moment no idea how manually play with Samsung Account app on SM-R765A... because read and write protected...
Need some time to check older posts...
I remember you are not alone...
But no idea if someone fixed this problem easily...
Best Regards

1 year later and I'm still clearing the accept terms and conditions notification 10 to 12 times a day... please tell me someone has a solution by now.
