Well
https://forum.xda-developers.com/sitesearch.php?q=xperia bootloader warning
found me https://forum.xda-developers.com/mo...o-remove-unlocked-bootloader-warning-t3201141
THIS is different on my XZ!
But there might be a way without writing a new bootloader.
The guy just patched a binary to jump to the same display as if the bootloader was locked.
No big deal but still highly risky.
I do not know how it works on the XZ. And since this does not bother me, I will not invest my time or risk my phone on a solution.

I might not be that hard.
If it is soft (I do not know) then you could still flash the original binary.

[SOLVED] Locking bootloader

I'm selling my TF300T to a second hand shop, but I want to lock the bootloader as I think they will refuse the device with the "This device is unlocked" text.
THE DEVICE WORKS FINE. I'm not trying to trick anyone into purchasing a broken device. I know there are hundreds of post like this, but none of them actually tell you how to or if it's even possible to lock the bootloader.
Thanks,
Daniel

Actualy bootloader can be relocked. Refurbished devices are those, thats why is a major problem with unlocking

Actually, is there a good factory reset tutorial on xda? I haven't found one yet and I don't really trust other ones on the internet.
I would like to:
-unroot
-flash original firmware
-flash original bootloader

[Q] How do I root my Sony Xperia Z3 d6603?

Hi
I just got my phone, but missing the benefits of rooting.
Can anyone tell me how to unlock the bootloader and then root my phone?
Found a lot of links, but not sure which are secure and not to use.
Here's where you go to unlock your bootloader - http://developer.sonymobile.com/unlockbootloader/unlock-yourboot-loader/
Once unlocked, you can flash root or do whatever at that point.
Warning though, you will lose your DRM keys in this process, if you don't know what that means, do some research

You need root to backup DRM keys.
You cant get root without unlocking the bootloader yet.
Youll lose DRM keys when you unlock the bootloader.
If you cant take losing your DRM keys do not unlock and root.

Last question. I got Samsung before and I was able to update my phone with Kies after rooting. Is their any way to update Sony devices when rooted?
Thanks
Flashtool or PC Companion. I prefer the latter.

You sure? As the DRM keys doesn't matter for me, as I don't really use the camera a lot.
But when I unlock bootloader on Sonys website, it tells me I would not be able to get updates from that. But i'm still able to get them with the PC companion?
Just to make sure, as I really want android 5.0 when it comes out.

You can't update with PC companion if you have unlocked your booloader. Your phone will be bricked!

No way to know for sure until someone tries. But with the Z2, you just have to relock your bootloader (might need to revert to a stock kernel first) and then software updates work fine.

There will always be FTF files shared on XDA and you can use flashtool with an unlocked bootloader.

Take a look in the development section
In need of some help, I wanted to root my z3 again, I've downgraded back to .77 but completely forgot how I done it last time, I created a few pre-rooted flashables (.77, .690 & .726) but I'm having trouble finding how to install custom recovery.. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi,
-First you can't change it to yes
-Second You can't root your device for the time being cause you need an unlocked bootloader
-Third there's no way to unlock a bootloader unless you have "Unlocked allow yes"
-Fourth be polite next time and say at minimum "Hello" please
Assalam o alaikum!
I've found a software on YouTube to change bootloader status no to yes

I don't think so, we're talking about bootloader so it can f*cked up anytime I think it would be better to don't play with it if we're not sure.
This is just an advice, do what you want to do after that, I'm just giving my thought no need to follow it if you don't want to
What is the logic behind this?
I mean some devices are unlockable and some are not!
What this actually mean?
Well! Can i install custom recovery on locked bootloader?

Nope, you need to unlock the bootloader in order to flash anything.
So it simply means i can't flash any recovery, rom or root my device
That pretty much mean you can't do anything right now sorry bro
It means I've to sale out my device
And buy other brand like LG or HTC
Or exchange it against another unlockable one ?
I don't know, do as you like, sorry for you, just bad luck
http://bootloaderunlock.com/
I've found a video tutorial on YouTube with a link to download software to unlock the bootloader of devices those shows the status "Bootloader unlock allow:No"
Here is the video link
Beware a lot of fake videos are running through the Internet, I warn you, but as I said before do as you like.
If I were you I would not play with bootloader, either I change phone, or I wait for a locked bootloader tuto.

Why not to try it?
Okay now i decided to not to play with my z5 and change my device
Wise choice, still sorry for you mate
Thanks but this is definitely my last device from sony
This ain't Sony who's responsible, this is your provider.
I'm French I have a Z5 (no prenium no compact)
From Bouygues Télécom, and it ain't locked I'm actually rooted running a custom Rom everything is fine.
This is between you and your luck, you and your provider

Bootloader relock

Any one know how to relock the bootloader for a xperia xpz?
If you unlocked because you wanted root or custom firmware and lost the sony features for camera and want to revert back. You cannot do so until there is an drm fix or if you had your ta backed up. relocking will do nothing.

What warranty? As soon as u unlocked the bootloader the warranty is no longer valid as per the terms and conditions u read when u done it
But when you do backup of DRM keys first of course if it possible. And restore them before give Phone on warranty. And relock bootloader warrianty will be works. But if you lose DRM key without backup. The bootloader not be relock.

Basically we can root now. I think you can just relock the bootloader (to remove the unlocked message on boot thing) if you're going to send your device in for repairs.

Ah, I stand corrected then. What happens if you DO try to relock the bootloader? It will simply fail? Or brick the phone?

You should now lock the bootloader for security...
Maybe this question deserves its own thread, but
Why is an unlocked bootloader insecure?

Simple, it allows anyone with physical access to your phone the ability to flash basically anything on it. That said, Ive unlocked every device Ive owned immediately after getting it.
