Will a new LG G5 still get OTA's? - T-Mobile LG G5 Questions & Answers

I just ordered a new LG G5
Will it get all the OTA's from last year through today when I put it on the T MObile network?
It didn't occur to me until after I ordered it that it probably ships with the 6.0.1 version and that T Mobile might not still host the files for 8 or 9 updates from the last year. Will it do the updates even though the phone is a year old?

It should be able to do OTA, the files are hosted on LG servers. If you don't get OTA, you can always download the LG program on your computer and update using that.

Whe're my Lollipop update!? Cricket Wireless

Don't mind my typo in the typo, I don't know what happened there.
I have the LG G2 D800 variant, as well the Samsung Galaxy Alpha SM-G850A. Both of these phones are AT&T branded, and both have had Lollipop released for them on April 14th 2015 (5 days ago).
However, when I check for updates on both phones I'm told my software is up to date. I'm on Wi-Fi with a 60% charge.

For the LG, follow this tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-g2/general/update-to-stock-lolipop-d80030f-root-t3084081
For the Samsung, I do not know
An official update was released 5 days ago, this is a stock phone. When I check for an update the phone tells me no update available.
Do you have an At&t sim. If yes then the update must be available if no then you have to follow the process in the link the guy gave

[Q] OTA Updates

2 Phones purchased same time from same place, one is black and the other is grey. S8+
They are both on same network on same plan.
How come 1 phone can receive a newer software update and the other one is unable to find a newer one?
They release updates in stages to reduce the burden on tech support, load on the update servers, and for testing purposes. One phone got lucky, the other will follow.

T Mobile OP7

Good evening. I’m trying to update my brand new phone I received today so I can switch away from my iPhone. I got 3 updates in and that was it. It will not detect any update past March. I cleared cache and do not have any apps installed other than what came in the phone. Does doing a full wipe help in this situation?

Have you checked to see what the latest update from T-Mobile is? I'm on a T-Mobile 7pro as well but use the international rom. I think the T-Mobile updates may be a month or two behind.

I checked their website last night, it shows they’re on the May update.
T-mobile has been having network issues for couple days so maybe wait little bit.
T-Mobile will always be behind, this is one of the main reasons for converting to International (Stable or Beta).

Software Updates Provider Check?

When I turned on my Galaxy S10e without the SIM to set it up, it received the August 1st security update. One of our other S10e on Tmobile (but in use without a SIM) already received the One UI 2.5 update back when it was released at the beginning of Oct. Somehow, this phone has not received it yet. How do I know my phone is configured correctly to receive OTA from Tmobile? And how would one check if their phone is getting OTAs from Samsung or their carrier?
When I look here, it doesn't specifically list the One UI 2.5 update, but, like I said, one of our Tmobile phones got the update.
