Hello!
So I just got my brand new One plus one today :good:. I wanted to install Lollipop on it, and yes I know its still in mostly alpha development at this moment. However, can anyone recommend me what in thier opinion is the best and most stable lollipop ROM for the One plus one? I'm mostly looking for stability. (and mediocre battery life)
Thanks in advance! :highfive:

If your OPO is new i wont recommend you doing anything for atleast 2 weeks!
Till that time Alpha builts will progress to beta builds hopefully
use CM11s Its actually quite awesome!
Play with camera you'll love it...
CM12 has bad camera for now! :{
There is no best stable lollipop rom, they all build from the same source and is more or less identical with very minor insignificant changes.
I personally like the latest liquidsmooth 4.0 build.
Sent from my One A0001 using XDA Free mobile app
Best stable Lollipop Alfa for One+ One is for me the Temasek-Build.
There's no such thing as a best ROM anyway. You'll get a million different people with a million different opinions, which makes asking this question completely pointless because you're left having to flash and find out, which is what you should be doing in the first place.

Without a doubt, this one. Compiled from source daily, with added custom fixes, tweaks, and testing.
Many of the other people just repost as is, and don't actually test it.
Hello,
I'm currently using stock cm11 on my OnePlus one, but I wanted to try something new.
I heared about these two ROM's which I think look very interesting, and overall wan't to upgrade to lollipop.
But I cannot decide which one to flash:
-Paranoid
-SlimSaber
I really like the idea of the ''Peek'' option in the Paranoid ROM.
But I've heard most people prefer SlimSaber because it's very fast.
Anyone can suggest which one is more, i dont know, stable? or fast?
Thanks in advance

I personally prefer PA over slim. Pa has always been stable and well overthought. They prefer stability and perfect integration over amount of customisation.
For the moment PA is just pure AOSP with some little corrections but nothing game changing.
The simple fact that slim comes with a completely different ppi setting by default bogged me.
In the end : try both and see what suits you best. Invest a at in each one and you will figure out soon enough. Or wait for oxygen os, there is a big portion of the PA team in it, so it will probably be something nice too.
Good luck finding your personal best
Have anyone tried their rom?
http://www.teamsuperluminal.org/mi4c-cyanogenmod-12-1/
How does it compare to cm12.1 from xda thread?
Is cm12.1 from xda thread stable for daily driver?

Haven't tried SuperLuminal's version yet, but the CM12.1 version you find here on XDA is working fine. There are a few bugs, but nothing a reboot can't handle...
Just keep in mind, that both are unofficial builds of CM12.1, as the CM Team haven't made an official version (yet - or perhaps it might never happend)
But give the SuperLuminal's version a shot - and tell us about your experience.

Thanks for response. Is cm12.1 smoother than miui? I find mi4c with miui less responsive than my old oneplus one with cm13. It's quite disappointing that my new mi4c is more laggy than 2years old OPO. Will that unofficial cm12.1 fix it a little? Or just snapdragon 808 is way slower than old 801?

Coming from OnePlus One as well, but with CM 12s, for that little time I spend using stock MIUI, I did not notice any lack or the phone being slower than the OPO. Actually MIUI ran pretty damn fast on the MI 4c - but the reason I moved away from the official, was because Kaspersky found malware on the ****ing phone. So maybe you should check you phone for malware or any unwanted apps. Depending on where you got the phone, it might have been tampered with.
Maybe, you should try to disable/freeze any apps you do not like first and see if that helps.
Anyway, if it's a faulty model you've received, you might want to return it...
Well this cm 12.1 has the nav bar working with capacitive keys disabled while the other one has it still enabled. I'm sure it will be fixed.
Jonas you probably had a reseller modified rom flashed. The EU rom doesn't have any malware.
Hi guys. I use TS rom for a few days. It is very smooth, likewise the Xiobai rom. Everything is working, except...edge double tap. Of course, you can enable it, but then ehile typing on any keyboard (aosp, google), it causes random backs. This feature is super while surfing on internet, but in real life it is too hmm anoying. I don't even touch edges and keyboard hides. When disable- not. It is my only complain. Battery and smoothness are very good. At night with lte enabled takes 1-2%. Best regards from Poland.

Xiaomi Service Framework Mod not work for me
I'm testing SuperLuminal CM 12.1 port from yesterday. It works pretty well so far; edge double tap is OK and didn't cause any unexpected behaviour in my usage.
There is no issue of DT2W not working after booting from recovery (that issue is present on Xiaobai's port, you have to reboot once from the ROM to have DT2W back).
Other than that the two ROMs are pretty much the same to me; Xiaobai's one might feel a little bit smoother in my opinion, but really a tiny bit.
I'm trying to get rid of any stuttering playing with entropy settings in Kernel Adiutor, will report back if I'll find anything useful.

Just wanted to say that I experienced the same thing. I had a Nexus 4 with Minimal OS (Android 6.0) and it was sadly faster than the Mi4C.
I'm not saying that the Mi4C is slow. It is fast. But i was expecting something more. Expecially while typing (as write here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-4c/help/expected-t3274918) i can feel the difference.
The Mi4C also have some micro-lag during transition that take away some joy on the daily use..
I'm probably going to try one of theese CM12.1 and see if i can get the same responsiveness i had with the N4
New rom is out now in Team Superluminal site.
Enjoy!

Yes, I know - I tried contacting Coolicool whom I bought it from - but they are just being like what these type of Chinese stores usually are - ignorant towards complains.
I am considering making the switch back to MIUI7 - but I'm not too keen on going back to a KK rom..

Interesting news, thanks for the good work!
I'll wait for some user feedback before testing, because I just clean-installed your CM port today and will change only if the ROM is almost stable.

Well, so far battery looks very close to the other CM port. I'm performing a lot of tests with Kernel Adiutor so cannot consider this an average day, but the battery definitely doesn't show any issue.

It is pretty stable. I'll been using TS PAC-rom 5.1.1 now for few days and I haven't noticed anything. But like our news says, IT IS UNDER TESTING for now. So if you like to try, take a backup of your current rom. And if you don't like it, you can revert back where you was.
There is lots of options/features from great roms. Like the PACman roms slogan goes "ALL IN ONE"
Does it have nav bar option?
Piston Headset problem under CM
I1m using the Mokee 5.1.1 Rom and its really great, I only have one big problem with it: My 3-button Piston2 headset doesn't work properly, only the play/pause button responds as it should, the volume rockers only open the dialer. It worked perfectly under Miui, but I love these custom roms much more!
Is it possible, to find a solution for this problem?! I'd love to try your rom, especially if there's any chance it will work!

Need your guys/girls opinions on what best stable Rom and Kernel at the moment for the galaxy s6 for everyday use.
Thanks ?
waiting for answer too
Personally, Frankenstein ROM + Aldeon Kernel.
Might change it to a AOSP-based ROM soon, like LOS14.1, but the camera with non-stock ROMs is worse. And on 8.0 and beyond, hardware encoding doesn't work so that's not even really an option - for me, at least.
Best rom?
Sir you want it... you get it

Bad idea for a website ?
I don't imagine you'll ever get a lot of traffic on it, considering that XDA is the go-to for ROMs and kernels, and people prefer to get their things directly from the source.
Design looks nice, though.

Thanks for that quick feedback!:good:
My website´s aim is to give JUST the BEST of custom stuff for the S6 and NOT ALL like XDA...
You can imagine my website as a place where just tested roms by myself are posted with a nice review!
I comparision to XDA I am the one and only person who can decide which Rom is going to be posted on my website(The dev of that rom ofcourse to) and there is the big difference!
You get 100% good and safe stuff for your device, because I did all the risky stuff by testing the roms already!
So I think you´re wrong mate... I surely will get a lot of traffic on my website

No, none. Battery is quite well.
Honestly, it's been the best I've found. I've looked through most, if not all, ROMs that could be daily drivers. The Ultimate Nougat S8+ ROM isn't bad either, but it's more bloated - it does have extra features though.
Currently trying Resurrection Remix 6.0 (Oreo/AOSP). It's as I would've thought - aside of the camera being crap (which isn't really a thing about this ROM, but any AOSP ROM), everything else works well, except for the part where it heats up... A LOT.
Hi,
I am interested in that too, as Samsung won't update S6 further more.
What I understand is we have Resurrection and Frankenstein, that is it right?
No news on Cyanogenmod discontinued with no other stable alike. I used back then with S2.
I have a question though, what is port? I found some people asking "is that a rom or a port".
Thanks.

CyanogenMod is dead. LineageOS is its replacement.
LOS14 (Android 7.1.2) and LOS15 (Android 8.1) are the current ones.
Ports are ROMs as well. For example, an S8 port, is simply said a combination of an S6 and an S8 ROM in such a way that it'll work on the S6.
On one hand, you have TouchWiz-based ROMs, such as Frankenstein, Ultimate Nougat S8+, Nemesis Nougat, Global Elite, Superlite S8 (or something like that, I forget the name), a couple of A8+ Ports, etc. They look like Samsungs usually do. If you're looking for a ROM that's as stable as possible, this is your best bet.
On the other hand, you have AOSP-based ROMs, such as LineageOS. In the same category, you also have CrDroid, NexusOS, Resurrection Remix, AICP, AOSPExtended, XenonHD, OmniROM, AOKP, etc, but they are basically just LOS with extra features (don't mean to offend the devs or anything, but it's true). They look like stock Android - the way Pixel, or Nexus phones look. Latest features, quickest, but occasionally have bugs because of stuff being closed source.
And then, you also have ROMs like MIUI, which isn't TouchWiz, but isn't really AOSP either.

Just installed Frankenstein ROM + Aldeon Kernel and it seems pretty snappier than stock now, gonna test this out for 2weeks and see if everything is good.
Thanks
Edit: been testing it for a few weeks and seems great stable and smooth and battery life seems great. Might try out LOS and see how that preforms for abit.
*Recommend Frankenstein ROM + Aldeon Kernel as a daily as its really smooth. ?

Very informative post, thank you very much for your efforts
Would you support one more thing? What tool should I use to install a kernel and a ROM, not to mention take a complete backup first? There are some tutorials out there I know, but I have been out for a long time now, so I want to know the best programs and methods from a trusted source.
Thanks.
Well, there's not many options in that regard - just one, actually: TWRP. Most ROMs/kernels on this site can only be installed using it. It also does full backups (except of the internal storage like photos and such). It has to be flashed using Odin - considering how well known this device is, there should be plenty of step-by-step videos for that process.
It's also a good idea to have a stock firmware and Odin on your PC, in case something goes really bad and you have to start from the beginning. Probably won't happen, but just in case.
Ports/Roms
So a PORT is a similar Software(System) from another device which is ported to our (In this case the S6)... For example there are S8+ ports (So the S8+ software with some of its features which works on S6)...
You may check my website for stuff like that ^^

With all of these official roms coming over to our device, I would like to know what are some of your guys favorite ones.
The only one I've really played with and have been using for awhile now is HavocOS. It just seems to have to most stable and up to date features and ALOT of customization options.
What roms do you guys prefer for customization and performance??
