[Q] Best *Stable Lolipop ROM for OnePlusOne? - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello!
So I just got my brand new One plus one today :good:. I wanted to install Lollipop on it, and yes I know its still in mostly alpha development at this moment. However, can anyone recommend me what in thier opinion is the best and most stable lollipop ROM for the One plus one? I'm mostly looking for stability. (and mediocre battery life)
Thanks in advance! :highfive:

If your OPO is new i wont recommend you doing anything for atleast 2 weeks!
Till that time Alpha builts will progress to beta builds hopefully
use CM11s Its actually quite awesome!
Play with camera you'll love it...
CM12 has bad camera for now! :{

There is no best stable lollipop rom, they all build from the same source and is more or less identical with very minor insignificant changes.

I personally like the latest liquidsmooth 4.0 build.

Best stable Lollipop Alfa for One+ One is for me the Temasek-Build.

There's no such thing as a best ROM anyway. You'll get a million different people with a million different opinions, which makes asking this question completely pointless because you're left having to flash and find out, which is what you should be doing in the first place.

Its an xda guy, he just had to to there to leave behind newbie spam.
Without a doubt, this one. Compiled from source daily, with added custom fixes, tweaks, and testing.
Many of the other people just repost as is, and don't actually test it.

Whats the most sold KitKat Rom right now?

I'm on Gummy Nightly 4.4.2 and I'm looking for something more stable. Life is a bit hectic right now so I'm not able to constantly flash a new rom.
What has been the best 4.4.2 rom that you've had the most success with?
to each there own .
moderators dont like these types of threads cuz they cause arguments
Beanstalk and Liquidsmooth! Waiting for the Pac-Man release!
If life is to hectic to find a rom I suggest stock.

I'm liking my PA 4.4 pa_d2vzw-4.0-BETA-20131208 that one it seems to be the only one with a functional camera so far.

Define "most solid"...
All you are going to get is people's limited opinions. Plus, if someone has only used 1 or 2 different ROMs - vs ALL of the ones available - they really can't comment

I meant to say "stable" I just want a rom where the basic functions like Camera work and I'm able to use instagram etc without it crashing. Gummy is fine, but not being able to use the camera is a big thing. I would like a multi-window feature that Hyperdrive has, but I'd like to stay at 4.4.2.
Also, no I will never go back to stock. As for those who have used one or two different roms their opinions are still valid. They can say whether it was stable or not.

A ROM with a non-functioning camera would never even get consideration from me ! Same applies to ROMs with no working data. Does the Gummy thread tell you the camera doesn't work ? I'd hope so !!
For what it's worth, I've tried the following KK ROMs (with my opinion/comments):
Beanstalk (Gideon's build) - good ROM, no complaints that I can recall.
Omni (Gideon's build) - too plain or simple (or boring) for me. Didn't have a few features that I've grown to like (I blame PAC for that !!). It was stable though.
LiquidSmooth (both the LS team version and Gideon's) - my preferred ROM at the moment. Runs fine, everything works, and has many of the features I like. Between two builds a week and a half apart, I see add'l things added too.
ParanoidAndroid (notta's build) - can't recall any details at the moment.
I suggest trying ParanoidAndroid 4.0 BETA. Yes, it is a beta but it is very stable. I have been using it since Notta switched to 4.4.x. The are still working out small bugs (like every other KK ROM), but like I said, it's very stable.
It does not have multi-window. For that I suggest Omni ROM. I've been using that on my ASUS TF300T and it works awesome!
As evident by some above commentary, XDA is not a support site and users are expected to test all Roms to make their own, independent, determinations as to what is stable for them.

What are some stable KitKat Roms?

OK so my last thread got closed because the mods didn't want it turning into a 'this is the best' fight. So I'm not asking that, I simply want to know what KitKat Roms are available that are stable builds, looking in the development forum all I see are nightly Roms and I don't want to be installing updates every day.

From my understanding they all on nightly. At least i haven't seen one thread posted as STABLE. And ive tried different Kk roms. And for some ppl wasn't stable and for others was a DD worthy. I suggest reading them post to see wat catches ur eye. I know thats not the answer u want. But front me thats the best i can give. Try LS Beanstalk SOKP SlimKat Gummi.

You do not have to install nightly roms everyday. If one nightly is running "smoothly," leave it alone for a short bit until there some major bug fix, new features added, etc., or when rom starting to act up.
The only one I've seen so far that's claimed to be "Stable" is SlimKat: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2400577. Actually it looks like they just released a new stable version yesterday for our phone, Build 5.

I agree with this about slim. It's a very stable ROM. There are however, alternatives. I'd suggest you try a few and see which ROM's have the best combination of features and stability for you. I've been a huge fan of slim for quite some time now, but recently, I've been running Nameless ROM. I've ran a nightly from the first of the month, and since then have had only one instance where the phone randomly rebooted. In fact, that's the only time I've rebooted it. LOL. For me it has the features I'm looking for without having to resort to using the Xposed framework. I have nothing against Xposed, it's always worked great for me, but I just prefer to have features baked in if at all possible.
I'm sure there's a ton of other good roms too, many people like Gummy, Beanstalk, Paranoid, PACMAN (can't think of the exact name), and GideonX's builds of various roms (check them out at droidhype.net), liquid, Carbon, and other's are nice too. Many have too many featues for me, and some have not enough or lack what I'm looking for.
So again, Try a few and see what YOU like. That's the best answer I can give. I doubt that many are "stable", but they've been stable enough for me. As I mentioned with Nameless, they're not labeled as stable, and nightlies are just that, nightlies, but you'll find that most nightlies are "stable"
Also, what others consider stable may not be what you consider stable as that standard can be very subjective.

I've been using Mastamoon's 4.4 for a few weeks now and it's been pretty damn stable for me. I'm a few days behind on updating nightly so that I don't run into any bugs, but I was happy with his 4.3 ROM back in the day and his 4.4 is turning out just as good.

Help upgrading from old cataclysm rom!!!!

So when I get my nexus 5 for Christmas last year I rooted and loaded cataclysm and didn't look back. Now with these new versions of android I feel like I should upgrade. Is there any benefit to 4.4.4? what would you suggest is the best aosp/stock type rom.I was also thinking about L, would that be a bad idea to use as my main rom? I was reading a lot of the threads about it and it seems pretty stable except for a lot of rom compatibility

These threads aren't allowed, it's up to you to find one that works best for you. And don't take Android "L" as if it's a consumer release, it's a developer preview.
As said above, we do not allow threads asking for best ROMs, kernels, ...

Help with ROM/Kernel

Well, I'm sure this topic has be chewed thousands of times and then chewed again a thousand times more...
So I apologize for that in advance.
But I'm looking for a ROM for my OPO that I will settle with. And the Kernel which works best with it.
I was originally on CM11s (stock) and then tried a lot of different ones during the last few months. I'm currently running MAHDI ROM because it gave me a lot of features which have been interesting enough at the beginning but which I realistically don't need anymore. At least not most of them. And the main reason I don't wanna stay with MAHDI is the amount of crashes I'm having lately with almost any app I'm using including 'Contacts' which crashes often when I just answer the phone call. The phone restarts on it's own, volume bars are all messed up etc. So to sum up, I want to change.
Oxygen OS is not the one I'd like due to the lack of features. I don't need much features that MAHDI offers but I still need some which Oxygen OS does not provide. At all.
I'm planning to change to CM12 (official) and stay there. However, I've heard plenty of bad reviews regarding stability issues, battery extensive drain and some others. How legit are all those reviews? Is it all facts or it's selective like most of the issues users report? Mentioning CM12, I've heard that certain Kernels fix most of the issues, especially the stability ones and the battery drain issue. Please note that battery is quite important to me. I was quite happy with CM11s, not so much with MAHDI but then again, it's not awful. Which kernel works best with CM12 regarding stability and battery life?
Or there are better ROMs than CM12 regarding stability and battery life while not lacking in features?
Again, I know there have been plenty of topics and posts about it but I'd like some help here as I can't dig through thousands of topics and millions of posts to find the proper answer I'm looking for.
Thanks in advance.
There's a ROM review thread here:

My personal favourite is Exodus though. The only reason I'm not on it right now is because it isn't at 5.1 yet (although they say the update is coming in the next days). You don't need a custom kernel with Exodus, the stock kernel performs really well. It's packed full of great features, it's original development too which means it isn't just cherry-picked features. Plus there's a new feature being implemented called Morph that they say is going to be incredible.

Alright, thanks.
Then I'll wait for the 5.1 version of Exodus and try it out. Which is the best place/topic to follow in order to get notified when it comes out?

If I get the 5.0.2 version now... could I just update to the 5.1 version or I'll have to flash it again once it comes out?

You'll probably have to clean flash it.

I guess I'll wait for the 5.1 version then.

Rom suggestions

I'm getting fairly bored with the roms i've been using which have been 13.1 builds and lineageOS.
It's been a bit since I've experimented and I havent really got the time too.
Since Android 7 theres been new devs/roms, can any one suggest any?
Not bothered about features, just want best performance/battery (mainly performance though) also, open to kernel suggestions. Thanks. :good::silly:

Perhaps an AOSP rom may do the work.
