Prerequisites: Marshmallow D0.1 + TWRP_3.1.1
How it works: switch the recovery mode with the fast boot mode.
Before to start make a full backup of everything! I cannot warranty this method is working in every phone, actually tested only with the r9tm variant.
With the X9009 and r9 variant must be tested!!
Don't try to flash with a different rom installed! You will brick the phone!
Make attention!! This procedure can brick your device!!
Activate Fastboot:
1. Reboot in recovery mode, flash this zip https://www.mediafire.com/?okbz5p77i548dqh
2. power off the phone
3. press power+volume down to enter in fastboot mode
Deactivate Fastboot(Restore original bootloader):
1. Reboot in fastboot mode
2. in cmd digit: fastboot boot C:\Unofficial-TWRP-3.1.1.img(kernel MM) https://www.mediafire.com/?i02gcbcl0bfda8f
3. Flash this zip to restore the original bootloader(reactivate the recovery mode) https://www.mediafire.com/?2ypwkccf3czhq83
Attention: if you try to unlock the bootloader you will soft-brick the phone. To fix you must erase the userdata, flash stock recovery, stock bootloader(LK2), reboot in recovery and make a full wipe data!
Actually there aren't custom rom that reqire unlocked bootloader for this device, so for the common users is useless unlock..

Hi this is a thread for new users to revert back to stock rom in huawei Honor 4x from their custom roms .
Follow these steps only if have unlocked your bootloader and had custom rom installed already. Of course you must have already installed custom recovery (twrp or cwm). This guide will also allow you to revert back to stock huawei recovery.
Step 1 : Download the ROM Package from the link~1GB)
http://www.huaweidevice.co.in/Downloads/Cherry-L04-V100R001C900B126.rar
Step2 : Extract using Winrar. (Inside dload folder you will find Update.app file)
Step3 :Now Download Huawei Update extractor and install
http://cn.club.vmall.com/thread-3239393-1-1.html
Step4 : Now Run the huawei update extractor and point to the update.app file. Now the contents of the update.app file will be displayed.
Select the Boot.img,recovery.img and System.img alone and select extract by rightclicking it.
Step5:Now we need the adb tool kit, .(~10mb)
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8CpdMmTiXaVdS1Eam5RY3BVR3c/view?pli=1
Step6:
Install and configure the Adb. Make sure once installed connect the device to usb and press vol down + Power button together. It will enter fastboot mode. Make sure phone is unlocked.
Step7:Now copy the extracted recovery.img,system.img and boot. img to the adb root folder which should be in c:\adb\.
Step8: Now in terminal window of adb , type these
1. "adb devices" -Displays some id of your device which makes sure your device is connected.
2. "Fastboot Flash recovery recovery.img" - Flashes stock recovery
3. "fastboot flash system system.img" - Replaces your custom rom with stock rom
4."Fastboot flash boot boot.img" - Flashes boot partition which is need to boot stock rom.
Step9:Now all is flashed.
"adb reboot" - Reboots your device.
Step10:Wait for few mins and your phone reboots into stock emui rom. Now if you want the second emui update. Download from hihonour.in and flash the downloaded zip with stock recovery.

Hi I suppose only if we have stock recovery , it will work ?!.

awesome
I think you've done great job here
Thank you
after flashing the old firmware's files i got no boot and i dont mean bootloop i mean phone is not booting at all just stopped at the first screen
is there any solution
I did everything you mentioned but in adb devices its showing No devices found. I forgot to turn on usb debugging. What to do now. Its struck on the window Fastboot and rescue mode.

Hey Huawei. I contacted you earlier for the bootloader unlock key and got the same from you which I would Like to thank yOu for same. After unlocking bootloader I installed MIUI ROM on my Honor 4x (Che1-l04) and it ran smoothly. But I didn't like it much and wanted to change back to my stock ROM. I tried to Install your Honor 4x Android L. I extracted the ZIP file using Huawei Update extractor and did the steps mentioned by XDA Developers. Here- http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/reverting-to-stock-rom-honor-4xmsm8916-t3168732
After doing All steps While doing ''adb reboot'' Its saying DEVICE NOT FOUND in cmd. I Found that i forgot to turn on USB debugging. But now my device is struck on FASTBOOT AND RESCUE MODE.(PHONE UNLOCKED).I am not able to tur it on. I tried many steps to show my device but failed. Please help me regarding this. I will be highly thankful to you
Beware!
This tutorial seems to be written very sloppy and doesn't work at all. (at least not on a CHE2-11)
After entering fastboot mode no adb commands will work.
"adb boot" must be replaced by fastboot reboot.
After applying your changes however my pone hangs at the first screen (showing "honor")
I've the same problem than you tosho1. And the adb commands not work in bootloader/fastboot mode. Only in recovery and system
some issuses
when i extract the recovery, boot and system.img files from the UPDATE.APP file with the Update Extractor tool, it creates 6 files instead of 3:
1. BOOT.img
2. BOOT.img.header
3. RECOVERY.img
4. RECOVERY.img.header
5. SYSTEM.img
6. SYSTEM.img.header
What is the purpose of the file which ends with ".header" extension ?

In case, anyone wants to know how to downgrade from Marshmallow to kitkat on honor 4x. Refer this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-4x/help/provide-downgrade-procedure-emui-4-0-to-t3409717/page2
Solution is given on Page 2. Also, you cannot downgrade to 4.4.4 directly from 6.0.1. You need to go from 6.0 to 5.1 and then 4.4.4. For details refer the link.

[size=+2]TWRP Custom Recovery for Vivo V3[/size]
This is an experimental custom recovery for Vivo V3 based on TWRP version 3.0.2-0. You can use this recovery to flash custom ROMs and other flashable ZIPs. Full root access is available via an ADB shell.
Important - read before flashing
This is an experimental recovery. Whilst it will not prevent your device from booting back in to its normal ROM, I am not responsible for anything that goes wrong. If you flash this recovery to your device you will no longer be able to receive OTA updates for Funtouch OS and will have to install ROM updates manually unless you flash back to original stock recovery.
DOWNLOAD LINK
TWRP Custom Recovery
Flashing Instructions
1. Go to Settings, then More Settings, About Phone, and then tap Software version 10 times. It should now say that you are a developer.
2. Go to Settings, then More Settings, Developer Options. Turn on USB Debugging and Enable OEM Unlock.
3. Connect your phone to your computer. Authorize the USB debugging request on your phone screen.
4. If you haven't already, install ADB/Fastboot drivers. See here for further instructions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790
5. Place the TWRP file from the download links above in your current directory
6. Completely power off your phone.
7. Hold the VOLUME DOWN and POWER buttons together until you see a black screen with FASTBOOT options.
8. In a command line window (or using Minimal ADB Fastboot if you used the above instructions), run this command:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery-v3.img
9. If all went well the custom recovery has now been flashed. Use the volume buttons on your phone to select "RECOVERY" from the FASTBOOT options on-screen, then press the power button to confirm. You should now be in recovery mode! Congratulations!
Going back to stock recovery
Currently I have no original recovery image, so you will not be able to go back to stock recovery unless Vivo release it (unlikely).
Note to testers:
You can make a backup of the stock V3 recovery by flashing this TWRP recovery like so:
Code:
fastboot flash boot recovery-v3.img
fastboot reboot
This flashes the recovery to your boot partition rather than the recovery partition. You'll then be able to make a backup of the stock recovery in TWRP. After saving a copy to your SD card, flash back to your original boot partition like so:
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot-original-v3-1.8.20.img
fastboot reboot
Afterwards you can flash this TWRP to your recovery partition as normal and then you also have a stock recovery file too. Please upload it to this forum if you make a backup of stock.
The original stock boot image can be downloaded here if you need it: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0TtHsl8vcaLYTJhZHNHTFVfdGs/view?usp=sharing

Hello.
Making of custom recovery can be very difficult to explain but this thread tells you how to build TWRP recovery from source code.
Some pointers for building for Vivo V3 SD616:
1. Use Omni 5.1 sources instead of CM (see thread for more info)
2. Download latest V3 firmware from www.vivoglobal.com. Extract boot.img from the ZIP file and then use software called Android Image Kitchen (or similar) to extract the contents of boot.img.
3. From boot.img, find fstab.qcom file and make a note of its contents. You will need this information to make recovery.fstab file for TWRP.
4. From boot.img, find the "device fingerprint" and make a note of it. It's usually in default.prop file or can be somewhere else.
5. Make a note of the kernel command line options from the boot.img zImage split as they may be useful.
Finally:
If you manage to compile a full TWRP recovery for your phone but it does not boot, simply replacing the kernel from boot.img of latest firmware into the TWRP image may fix this. (again use Android Image Kitchen or similar).
I hope this helps. Sorry I can't be of more assistance.

you will brick your phone , Only flash your phone`s compatible ROMs and Recoveries i.e those of your phone model and cpu structure . Also Vivo has not open sourced its development as other phone makers so making it custom friendly is freakin pain in the >> A$% . anyhow :good: keep your hopes up someone might just make a custom rom for VIVO once they hack into it. Till then stay away from anything that is not VIVO
For those who need the official VIVO V3 (non-max) recovery, I have the latest version here:

oh now I got it, i think you go in the boot menu, all mediateks have that in Chinese
To get into recovery you must press up volume and then hold it along with pressing the power button,
Y6 after a few seconds turn;s on and you then have to chose which mode to go. Up volume to change selection and down volume to select, recovery mode obviously

Do not run system , but to bootloader first , accept modifications and whoala...
thx @chillo for responding quickly
BTW The dying android means no custom recovery is installed for Y6 , no fastboot command whatsoever
And yes, Y6 and most new android phones from Marshmallow and newer *(edit: ) stock ROMs, don't like to mess with their system partition, one should select system as read-only
Glad you made it through and learned a bit of it
Bootloop
It appears I've soft-bricked my Y6.
I've installed TWRP 3.03 as above and can boot into it but when I try to do a normal reboot I'm stuck in a boot loop.
How do I get to this stage - "Do not run system , but to bootloader first , accept modifications and whoala..." Is that when you first run TWRP?
In the Mount section of TWRP "System" is not ticked but the button "Mount as readonly" is.
If I select Fastboot it hangs. Normal boot hangs. Boot into Recovery is fine.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance
Y6 Max:*install recovery with fastboot in Ubuntu Linux
Hello,
thank you for this very useful thread. Just want to add some information on installing the recovery image on the Doogee Y6 Max via fastboot in Ubuntu Linux
I've followed this instructions with some minor (but important)*changes.
First useful information:*to enter in the fastboot mode of the Y6 max do the follow:
- power off your phone
- push togheter Volume up and Power button
now you will see a menu with three options. Move the arrow with Volume up and select "fastboot". Then press Volume down.
You are now in fastboot mode.
Connect your phone via USB to the computer.
Open a terminal and:
- unlock OEM as described in the tutorial linked above.
- install your recovery.img as described in the tutorial linked above
- re-lock the OEM with this command:
Code:
sudo fastboot oem lock
otherwise your phone won't boot.
Then power off your phone and enter in the menu described above pressing toghether Volume up and Power.
Now select "Recovery" and you are done.
Hi! I did everything like in the tutorial but phone is stuck in bootloop after flashing supersu from sd card. Any advices?
I tried 3.0.3 twrp and newest supersu. Phone turned on but there is not root, also there were no errors during instalation.
Method is a little bit different .Usage is harder
It shows lines instead of screen while booting - fastboot -recovery. Example
But i have solution for it.
Dont worry it wont damages your device. You have to wait until your device boots and it will be normal
Code:
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices,. Please
* do some research before unlocking it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*
*/

I got the issues when I got an update and I started the update but the battery was low so the update could not install fully and in between it got bricked.
Now I cannot go into fastboot or the recovery or the droidboot.
when I press the power and volume up button it starts and shows me Asus logo only then it does not move further.
When I connect it to the PC the USB connected sign is shown in white colour.
I tried using the xfstk and load the file for that procedure but it was shooting error of win x200015..... Something.

Did you unlocked your bootloader and after that did you flash TWRP without reboot?
Maybe I'm wrong but when you unlock your bootloader, the phone automatically reboots into stock recovery and and immediately wipe everything (included your internal storage) and then reboots normally. If you flashed TWRP after unlocking your bootloader, your phone will boot into TWRP but it won't wipe anything.
I think that happened.

Mmh after I unlocked the bootloader, my phone was freeze on this
Select Boot Mode :
[VOLUME_UP to select. VOLUME DOWN is OK]
[Recovery Mode]
[Fastboot Mode] <<==
[Normal Mode]
=> FASTBOOT mode.....
So, I forced it to reboot, after everything seems ok.
What part must I reflash ?

When I unlocked the bootloader my phone freezed too, so I typed in Windows cmd "fastboot reboot". After that, my phone was formatted by stock recovery.
You should reflash stock recovery if you have TWRP, so the stock recovery can format your internal storage, if not, your phone won't boot.

Ok, so fastboot didn't work at all (just waiting devices)
I tried to reflash TWRP nothing happens, I tried to do a factory wipe with twrp but nothing happens too.
I searched a stock recovery for nokia 3 1032- Android 7.0 but found nothing - must i use stock recovery for Android 7.1.1 or do you have a link to a stock recovery for 7.0 ?
------------
I found this on XDA : Is it a good way if nothing work ?
Hi, I was able to unbricked my phone using this:
Here is the SP Flash tool, the download agent for Nokia's phones and the ROM unpacked
As SkaboXD said (i don't know if it were in this post or in other one) you must:
1- Download the files I provided you
2- Install SP Flash Tool
3- Choose the download agent
4- Choose the scatter
5- Press download and plug your phone (it must be OFF)
6- Wait and enjoy.
I must thank to everyone who give us this files. I couldn't unbricked my phone without your help

I think that this is the link:

I used SP flash tools to downgrade and install TWRP in my phone.
Which tool did you use to downgrade your phone?

Good luck. :fingers-crossed:
You can flash again with OST LA. Or try to flash with SP flash tool the whole rom or just the recovery. To flash with SP flash tools you need a nb0 unpacker tool (my previous post have a link to another post with the tool link).
BTW feel free to ask something that you don't understand. :highfive:

I think I will use the second alternative step to not get a brick bootloader ^^' https://forum.xda-developers.com/nokia-3/how-to/guide-how-to-flash-twrp-magisk-t3785768

Do you know the safest way to relock the bootloader ?

Is like unlock bootloader, just change "fastboot oem unlock" to "fastboot oem lock".
But your internal storage will be formatted again by stock recovery, so you must have stock recovery installed.
After relock, your device will get ota updates, so you need stock recovery to install them.
I recommend root your device after all the updates, even you can install TWRP without problems.
I installed TWRP, root and installed stock recovery to get updates. Choose the method that you like.
Good luck. :highfive:
