Hi, as the title mentioned. How do I flash SM-N910F firmware to SM-N910T phone.
Also, can someone explain why my Galaxy NOTE 4 model no is SM-N910F at the back of the battery but if I go to download mode, it shows SM-N910T.
I received the phone with SM-N910F 5.1.1 Firmware and I tried to upgrade to 6.0.1 using SM-N910F and it failed but it works with SM-N910T firmware. The problem is SM-N910T doesn't have mobile network toggle button. So, I'm currently trying to change it to SM-N910F 6.0.1 Firmware but I don't know how to do that. That is why I'm seeking for help over here. Help me, guys...
*Sorry for my bad English BTW.

It says SM-N910T because you flashed the N910T firmware, download mode gets the model number from the build.prop on the device. You flashed N910T so it has N910T in the build.prop, therefore, N910T is what shows in download mode.
You should be able to flash the N910F firmware via Odin, is that not working?

Try these troubleshooting steps for a failed Odin flash, the thread is from the S2 forum but the process is the same for all Samsung devices.

If you still have trouble after all of these steps(more than once), come back here and we'll try the next step in trying to solve this.

You probably can't flash the N910F 5.1.1 because the N910F firmware that you flashed probably has a bootloader that won't allow downgrading, that means you can't flash any android version that is older than what you have on the device right now (6.0.1).
You might can extract the N910F and extract the N910T firmwares, then remove the bootloader from the N910F firmware, then take a copy of the N910T bootloader and place it in the folder where you extracted the N910F firmware, then re-sign and repackage the N910F firmware with the N910T bootloader into a .tar.md5 or .tar and flash it with Odin.
Basically, you're putting the 6.0.1 bootloader in the 5.1.1 firmware so that it can be flashed, it will have the same bootloader as what you already have so it won't block the new firmware from flashing.
Here is a guide for creating your own .tar.md5 files for flashing in Odin.

No sir, I'm using SM-N910F 6.0.1 firmware to flash, not 5.1.1.
So this is the firmware I'm currently using "N910TUVS2EQE2_N910TTMB2EQE2_N910TUVS2EQE2_HOME.tar.md5" and this is the one that I want to flash "N910FXXS1DQE1_N910FBTU1DPL1_N910FXXS1DQA1_HOME.tar.md5".
Here what I understand, I need to extract the bootloader from "N910TUVS2EQE2_N910TTMB2EQE2_N910TUVS2EQE2_HOME.tar.md5" and replace the the bootloader in "N910FXXS1DQE1_N910FBTU1DPL1_N910FXXS1DQA1_HOME.tar.md5" with it.
These 3 are the bootloader
1.boot.bin – The first piece of the Bootloader. It initiates the activation of your device's memory and starts the SBL.bin.
2.SBL.bin – The second piece of the Bootloader. This is essentially its own operating system and can control the building and changing of all other partitions. When you flash something through Odin this is what Odin is communicating with.
3.param.lfs – This is the third and final piece of the Bootloader. This houses Download Mode, startup images and is where SBL.bin stores all of its information.
Am I correct at this point?

If you have N910F 6.0.1 then the bootloader should not be an issue, that would only be an issue if you were trying to flash 5.1.1. You only mentioned N910T 6.0.1 and N910F 5.1.1, you didn't say you had N910F 6.0.1.

You might need the PIT for N910F but using it comes with its own risks.
To use the PIT, find the PIT tab in Odin and place the PIT file there, then make sure you have the repartition option in Odin checked then place your firmware in the AP slot then flash it.

Did you make sure the "repartition" option in Odin had a check in its box before you flashed?
Did you put the PIT file in its, slot in the PIT tab in Odin? You had the firmware in the AP slot?

Is it saying the flash via Odin is successful but it isn't changing anything?
Or are you getting errors when you flash via Odin?
What region/country was the device originally manufactured for/sold from?
What region/country are you in and what mobile network carrier did your uncle use the device on? Which region/country are you in and what mobile network will you be using the device on?

I needed you to answer the questions I asked. If you give that information it will help me understand what device you actually have and what firmware you need. Lets get the device properly identified and find the correct firmware it needs, then we will work on getting it to flash correctly.

so you are still able to get into download mode? also give us a picture of what ODIN says, you should try to connect it to kies which would install stock rom itself for you, ODIN is basically already inside kies and we ripped it from it.

i meant the android version like :Kit kat 4.4. or 4.4.2/4.4.3/4.4.4, but i did try to search up G900FXX1ANG8 on sammobile and i didn't see any firmware with that name, i think you might be flashing the wrong firmware. can you pop the battery and tell me what the model number there?

Hi there, you should download smart switch and use emergency firmware recovery, From there you should click 'more' then click emergency software recovery. Key in your device SM-G920W8 then input your serial number (Found on your device Box) then voila, it should download the latest firmware for you.

well, pointing him in a more accurate direction would be much better i guess, no harm intended!
I had a similar issue the solution for me was to install twrp 2.8.7.1 recovery using Odin as my phone lacked stock recovery and would not flash firmware as a consequence.

Supposedly you can't flash that 5.0.2 firmware is because your bootloader is already 5.1.1, therefore you can't downgrade the software, but i saw on Sammobile that Canada is going to get the update soon, so i guess you can use Smart Switch's emergency recovery to restore your phone soon.
So when you started what baseband were you on? Did you update to 5.1.1 I don't care if you did it via a ROM just did you update to 5.1.1 officially or did your phone come with 5.1.1 if it did you need to download the 5.1.1 firmware not the 5.0.2 firmware because of the new bootloader.
Edit: You could always use my guide which can be found here to make your own tar file that doesn't flash any bootloader only system, kernel, and recovery you will also get the latest Note 5 UI this may help you in case everything else fails.

I started with 5.0.2 and i flashed twrp and i flashed a 5.1.1 rom.
This is really late but I just tried getting KitKat on this device. I have the n-8013 which is the 32 gb version of the n-8010. Im trying to flash with odin
I've done flashing with odin before on this pc, i did last week. The drivers for this tab are installed. I used the same port for the tablet, put the file in, plugged it in, got the blue box and hit start, but everytime i get this:

I tried different ports, made sure the ROM was correct, and battery charged nothing changed. I read it could be the cable or charging port. I did replace the charging port a while back so it could be damaged again but I think its most likely the cable. Anyone else have this issue with other devices and find a solution. Thanks
it would also help if someone could find another way to flash without odin that isnt very hard using the sd card slow possibly, thanks
For starters you are flashing the wrong firmware .
You have N8013 and are flashing N8010 .

You can remove cm.bin, but you're unlikely to be able to downgrade.
If you are having issues connecting your device change the wifi channel on your router.
To much congestion on one channel can cause connection issues.
Are you attempting to connect to 2.4 or 5ghz?

It's in the stock firmware. Unpack it with 7zip, remove the file then repack to tar with 7zip.
If your j7 is upgraded to BPJ4 baseband (6.0.1) latest j700f marshmallow version, then you cannot downgrade to lollipop or any other 6.0.1 lower version using odin. Because the latest rom locks your bootloader which sets your phone to ver3. You probably get that error when you try to downgrade through odin. The only way to use lollipop is flash twrp and wipe system data and flash any custom lollipop rom. Hope this helped you.

Hello. Few days ago after updated to latest marshmallow i decided to flash twrp n root my J7 2015 just to try a custom rom. Now I'm facing same problem when flashing to stock marshmallow or to stock lollipop. My device is J700F n my region is XID (indonesia). I've tried so many times with so many different stock roms n regions but Odin always says FAIL after cm.bin. Please help me solve this problem. I want my phone back to its original n official rom. You can either flash the correct firmware for your device region or remove cm.bin then flash.

thx for your response. I've tried to flash the correct n official rom based by my region n by latest build number. Btw is there any side effect if that cm.bin removed?

You should be fine without cm.bin as long as the rest of the new firmware is compatible with the one already installed.
same issue

Either remove it, flash with flashfire with modem unchecked or use the correct firmware for your device region.

Hi there,
I have a G930W8 (Canadian S7) that I am trying to flash a stock 7.0 ODIN file to, I have used ODIN several times without issue... but this time it doesn't seem to be working.
I downloaded the latest 7.0 from Sammobile, and put the respective files (BL/AP/CP/CSC) in their boxes, but everytime I try I get a FAIL message, and it seems to be only the BL that's causing it:

<ID:0/006> Complete(Write) operation failed.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
My device reads SW REV. CHECK FAIL. DEVICE: 3, BINARY: 2
The other files seem to work but when I reboot without flashing the BL I keep getting force closes.... I tried downloading the latest file twice to make sure it's not corrupted but it keeps happening, any ideas what it might be?
You're not trying to downgrade are you? I'm not 100% if it carried over into Oreo, but the last bootloader in 7.0 locked it from downgrading.

No I am not; but it appears I wasn't using the latest available version of 7.0, tried downloading from another source and it worked now, thanks.
