Yesterday I installed DU Cleaner I clicked the button it did the usual clear cache stopped running apps etc, but I noticed at the end it stopped some startup services and apps.
I have just rebooted my phone, it took about 10 mins to boot up not he usual 1 or 2 , then I was getting a lot of app errors unfortunately*** has stopped working etc, and now it is supper sluggish even wringing this post out, every few words it freezes and takes time to catch up.
There is nothing on the app to adjust startup items, I me ruined on a magisk thread that I have a problem with startup managers they just don't seem to work for me so I have no idea how to resolve my problem.
Edit: I tried whiping cache and delvik but one weird thing when I usually do that it has to optimise over 300 apps as usually it's slow but normal but now it only does about 150 and it's done withing a few seconds. One of the apps that's constantly crashing is WiFi direct share, the error message keeps popping up

The android market on my captivate is slow, it'll take anywhere from 15-25 seconds to load a page sometimes. Also my music player is sluggish, I only have about 300 songs on there right now and the player lags a little bit. Anyone else having these problems?
I also face the same problem with android market.
Any application takes a while to start installing, sometimes even upto 10-15 mins for the installation to start.
I reset my phone to factory settings a couple of times before and still this problem exists.
I know this may sound a bit crazy, i think the GPS malfunction on this device has got to be somehow connected with all the lag.. (Most of the applications required your current location, and maybe the GPS gets activated or something like that).
I know it may sound lame, am not a software guy, but i am just thinking that it may be the case!
Same for me with the Android Market lag... of course my GPS too but that's a given :-(

hmm, i dont use the music player (pandora ftw) but i do use the market quite a bit. I havn't noticed any page loading lag (this could be due to you reception) but now that i've hit 50 apps, when i install new ones, the phone has a brain fart while its installing and becomes generally slower untill the install completes. However downloads and installs dont take any longer than normal...
yeah my installing is fine, it's just when i try to load pages. Sometimes it'll take 15-20 seconds to load the page and it's quite annoying. I tried clearing the cache from manage applications settings but that didn't do much.
wheres FROYO!!!!!!!!!
Simple solution that helped for me on several phones.
Exit all applications.
Go to Settings => Accounts & Sync => Uncheck Background Data and confirm
Quit all screens with back button
Start Market => You will receive a message that Market can't run without Background Data => click Activate => Enable Background Data and click the back button
Now test Market again
Enjoy!
If you are rooted the OCLF helps this issue immensely. I had it installed and just uninstalled the OCLF to see if there was any difference in load times and I'm ready to reinstall, it helps out a lot!
About a week or two ago, my Note 10.1 started telling me pretty frequently that my Gmail app has stopped (pop up where screen goes dark and you can click Ok or Report). Clicking ok exits out and the app functions fine after that but will give the popup again 5-30 min later. It seems totally random but has become frequent enough to be annoying, especially when I am watching videos. I cleared the cache in the app settings but that doesn't seem to have stopped it.
I am avoiding clearing data because I have a lot of subfolders set up with unique notifications and its a pain in the ass to get that all back the way I like it.... but could that be the resolution? Anyone else encountering this issue?

Forenote, my N5 was running PSX v2 and Franco Kernel r13 flawlessly for weeks when this ramdomly happened.
Used my phone today just as I have for weeks on end with little to no issue until around 8 or 9 hours into my day the phone started to lag very badly. Redraws, stutter, unresponsiveness, you name it. I was surprised as this phone usually flies! So I cleared my recent apps and that seemed to help slightly, but it still was very slow. I used cache cleaner's built in ram cleaner to stop all running processes (which I never do) and it seemed like the issue was fixed. The system UI and launcher redrew and I was good to go.
Until I started to play some music in Play Music, a pop up constantly popped up that YouTube has stopped working. I didn't even use YouTube today! I tried to then open the YouTube app and it wouldn't open whatsoever. No animation no execution, just a dialog box reading, "Unfortunately, YouTube has stopped working." I went into app settings and cleared cache/data/and force stopped and the app still was misbehaving. I reinstalled the app via the play store and it still wouldn't open. The dialog box wouldn't stop popping up this whole time mind you.
I was thinking what the hell is wrong with my phone today!? Maybe a reboot would fix things. I tried rebooting and my phone got stuck at boot animation. I force shut off and rebooted into recovery, formatted cache and dalvik cache and rebooted. This time the boot animation actually froze.. I was like what the f***! I let it sit for a few minutes to see if anything would happen without any luck.
I force shut off again and now the phone won't even turn on. Not into bootloader, not normally, the thing won't even charge! So here I am with a dead phone and a $450 paperweight. I'm just so lost I have no idea what could've caused this really unusual sequence of events.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
A bad phone. Rma it

Hello,
I have a new AT&T H900 not rooted for past 5 months. It was working fine until the MM forced update. It started to shut down (apps stopped responding) some of my apps. I read that I needed to reboot fresh, so I did. Even directly after reboot, apps still kept shutting down (stock apps like Google, messaging, just to name a few) at different times, even before adding my old apps. I decided to reboot a 2nd time with the addition of clearing the cache every time ( I read somewhere that this should help). It seems that the apps seem stable, but now my device keeps rebooting at a moments notice (specifically when it is computing multi tasks). It has become very unstable. How can I fix this? Should I try a 3rd reboot? Thanks.

This is very odd. Usally apps closing like that mems theirs a compatibility issue. For now lets focus on your rebooting.
Try leaving your phone with the battery pulles for atleast 10 minutes. If that doeant solve your problem, see if it randomly reboots when you have it charging. My G3 did that if i ran more than one thig with it off the charger. And my case was a bad battery. So it may be your problem aswell
About half a year ago, some of the system apps started to malfunction. Most noticeable is gallery - it closes immediately after trying to load thumbnails.
Photo viewer, which comes with gallery, also crashes a second after loading, without even showing a picture.
Google Play Market crashes randomly, with usually a minute after loading, or just nearly instantly.
Sometimes after rebooting, if Bluetooth was disabled, it just won't turn on again, until i reboot it several times.
There's also random weird "fast" reboots, when my phone crashes(???) and automatically reboots, and... does it much faster than usual, manual reboot.
This is a very weird case and i was unable to find any information about this, but something tells me it might be some kind of memory corruption? I've tried to do standard procedures of erasing app's cache data, downgrading them and so on, and nothing helped.
Phone is rooted with Magisk and has TWRP.
