Hello, today I wanted to restart my device and it just doesn't want to turn on. I cannot access any mode, nothing shows up while charging. The phone was rooted. It was also water damaged in April (1 second in toilet), it didn't wanted to turn on either but somehow I managed to turn it back on and it was working well. When I plug it to PC i can see Exynos7420 for a second and it shows up every time I press power button. I hope it's not hard bricked or heavy damaged inside :/

Well it's defo a hardware failure of some sort, sounds like the main board might be done for. Water damage if not dealt with straight away can cause corrosion of components over time.

Last night I dropped my N5 pretty hard onto the ground. The screen didn't break, but the device will not turn on. I get nothing when I press the power button.
Also, there is no sort of vibration if I hold down the power button so I know its not starting.
I removed the back cover to see if anything is loose in there, but I do not see anything.
Please help.

Any burnt out circuits? Torn ribbon cable? Have you tried plugging in the device to your computer to see if it shows up?

When I popped the back open there were no loose cables and I didn't see any burnt out circuits. Oddly enough, even though I cannot get the screen to illuminate, when connected to the PC is begins to search for the driver, etc. as if the phone is working.
A replacement is on the way. At this point, I want to recover the data. Ideas?

open the device manager and install the google usb driver manually? Then see if you can't pull files from it?
So today i started having bootloops, it was showing the Powered by Android screen for 2 seconds then booting again over and over for few hours
Now after it somehow got fixed by itself, i managed to turn the phone ON and to clear Cache
So far there are not bootloops anymore
BUT
huge BUT
the phone is poping the Power Menu most of the time, and then every touch on the screen just "presses" on the Shut Down option
If i press on the Power button myself it shut him down automatically ...
EDIT:
Would like to add, that i never unlocked it, it's the regular OTA version.
I doubt a wipe wll help, but i really wont mind if thats the case
Its almost like something pressing the Power button sometimes, but even WITHOUT the back case it still pops that power menu. even if no one is touching it at all it still pops it once in a while, which cause shut downs once in a while ...
So i woke up
The phone is off, i cant turn it on
I charge it for few hours already and still nothing happens the power button doesnt do nothing, it doesnt vibrate
So i connect it to my PC, it shows it as a Marshal something in the device manager but it KEEPS disconnecting and reconnecting every 2 seconds
I have found a "fix ur bricked phone" threads but they all using a tool that needs the phone connected to the PC, well my phone cant stay connected more than 5 seconds for some reason [ different cables, different computers] it keeps on popping in and out
Did you drop your phone in the water or something? Wet or damp from the rain maybe?
And did you try connecting it while in fastboot or recovery mode?
Maybe wet from Humidity but thats all
i cant reach fastboot nor recovery
as now it all black, not turning on not even for a bootloop
This problem happen when the phone is getting wet ? its certainly didn't but maybe i should "fix" it as a wet phone should be fixed? should i open it and dry it out? maybe take the battery out? its not that easy to take it out tho
I had a phone which was wet from the rain, it made the power button faulty. It would randomly turn screen on off like in your case. I took it to the repair shop and they cleaned the insides and it was fine again. If you're sure it's not the rain or anything then maybe that's not the reason, just a guess.
How about plugging in the charger? Does it light up? If it lit up and you cant turn it on after maybe its the power button problem.

plugging the charger doesnt do nothing
Although i got a portable charger with a led , the led turns on when i plug the One, BUT, the led bar doesnt decrease even after few hours, so its like "trying" to charge but not charging anything
Try this from OnePlus Customer Support:
2. Power cycle the One by holding the Power button for 20 seconds 5 times.
3. Attempt to start the phone by holding down the Power button along with the Volume down button to start recovery mode and performing a factory reset.

or hold Power button with the Volumn up button to see if you can get into fastboot mode.
lol bro... seriously.. you really think i didnt try that stuff before opening a thread?
I already scanned the entire web and no one with the same issue have posted a fix thread
one plus doesnt even care about their customers
Is this the guide you said you saw? http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/general/guide-unbrick-oneplus-one-t3013732
Why not give it a try? Follow the steps and see if you are able to unbrick your phone.
I mean there's not much you can do if you can't even turn on your device in the first place :/
Hello im repairing an samsung galaxy s6, which was dropped in water by a firend(for cca 2 seconds). I told him to turn it off, and i cleaned it with alcohol when i got it in my hands. Now i do not know what to do, . When i plug it in my charger and try to turn it on, i get a blue light but just a black screen nothing happens. When i reset the phone( soft reset) there is a red light while charging but nothing happens on the screen. When i connect it too a pc it recognises a device but it cant load the drivers of the device. What could be wrong with it ? Could it be the battery, i cant get it to turn on

It does not matter if you turn it off straight away, the battery IS STILL CONNECTED inside the phone so any water inside will continue to damage the components. It is impossible to say what the damage is at this stage without taking the phone apart and testing each component.
Leave the phone somewhere warm to dry out completely, if after a few days it still does not turn on then the phone is broken.

ive analysed the phone and the screen is 100% broken , i will replace it, i think the screen is broken + the phone is bootlooping ill report back when i repair it
My friend got his new HTC Desire 826 in July 2015. He is having issue with his phone, the screen totally blackouts. He doesn't want to repair the phone because it has no more warranty and will cost much to repair. He asked my help to recover any data possible from his phone.
This was the info I got from him: The phone would restart itself once in a while in the recent few months of use (almost the time that the warranty ended). The screen would black out sometimes, a physical hit on the phone helped to recover it. At the last few moments before the screen totally blackout, the screen showed the mirror image of what it's suppose to show (he had to put it in front of a mirror to read the message). And then it just died and never come alive again. He can't remember whether he set the phone to silent mode.
What I did: Removed and put in the battery, pressing power button gives me a short vibration (I assume that means it can be turned on). Dissemble and reassembled the boards, flex cables etc. No burn mark or broken connection seen. Connect to TV using MHL cable, no signal detected. Soft reset by pressing POWER + VOLUME UP button, it vibrated and screen was still black. Since then, charging after turn on doesn't shows red light below the front camera. The metal cover above the motherboard was usually very hot whenever the phone is on. I'm working like I'm blind, omg >_<.
What's wrong with the phone? What should I do? Possible to repair? Some questions I'd like to ask.
1) Using MHL, does the phone screen need to be working then the TV will show what's on the phone screen?
2) Is there anyway I can connect the phone to other external screen and control externally?
3) I'm hesitant to repair the phone, the heating up of the motherboard scares me that the phone won't last long even after repair. Anyone has this phone and how do u go about this heating issue?
Hi

Good luck
As the title states, if I try to restart my phone or turn it off the phone will not power back up. When I plug it into my computer or wall outlet it remains unresponsive and will not charge. The only way I can get my phone booted back up is unplugging the battery and plugging it back in. The power button functions fine when the phone is on. I have already done a hard reset and that changed nothing.
I sent the device back to Huawei initially when the device was unresponsive and they sent it back claiming it was water damaged. I work in a oyster hatchery so I guess the high humidity and salt environment has done something to the phone. Have any of you experienced something like this?
Thanks
Quick update, twice in a row I have tried to open the camera app and the phone shuts down and I have to open the phone up to unplug the battery to get it to start. Im thinking that there is a short in the phone? I was taking pictures with no issues yesterday.
