I went through the att process of getting the unlock code. I have the code and I want to enter it to unlock my device however I don't have another carriers sim card to put it. Is it possible to manually bring up the unlock prompt?
For anyone else that is looking for an answer I just went to bestbuy and bought a simple mobile nano sim for $1 and threw it in and it worked and brought up the unlock menu.
Here's the one I bought: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/simple-mobile-bring-your-own-phone-sim-card-kit/5470301.p?skuId=5470301

and then enter the unlock code

Guyd thanks for the code
I want to thank guyd very much for the unlock code for the unlock code. It works!
Put it in. Brought up a screen that said enter unlock code or something if that nature. I put the code in. It said it was now unlocked.
If you only knew what I have been through since Feb. 18 you would know how much this code ment.

You'll need to have an unlock code. This you can buy online for about 35 bucks
Then you insert a foreign sim card and enter the unlock code.

Sim unlock for Rogers Nexus S
Ok I am trying to figure out where I can get my hands on a free SIM unlock code for my Nexus S currently on the Rogers network.
Anyone have any ideas or advice that would point me in the right direction really not in the mood to pay for it. Figure I would be able to do it myself some how.
Thanks

You can log into your MyVerizon account online and it's listed in there once you click on the corresponding phone and line(phone #).
hi, newb here, having trouble unlocking my att skyrocket. i have followed the instructions to what i think is the "t" as they are very simple, but no luck. the only way i ever see "perso init is successful" is if after going back to network lock for one minute i go back again and hit #4 networck lock again "perso_nv_init is successful" comes up, but still locked. my model is a att samsung sgh-i727. android 4.0.3 baseband i727ucld2. kernel ver. 3.0.8-perf-i727ucld2-cl363164 [email protected] #1. build # iml74k.ucld2. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks
I'd just buy an unlock code. If you try the free unlock too many times it'll permanently not allow you to unlock even if you buy a code. The unlock codes are not that expensive.
Ps, you can probably get the code for free from your carrier. This phone has been out for a long time.

It is very true! If you attempt to unlock too many times then it will permanently be locked unless you send it in for JTAG reprogramming or to Samsung and pay the repair charge, but this is if you tried to unlock via just entering random codes.
In order to get to where you need to enter the code, you have to insert a SIM that is not with the carrier it is locked to, it will then prompt you for the code to unlock.

i have never seen or been asked for a sim code, when my tmo sim is in i get "mm6 error" or "not registered to network". if i type in something like *#7465#(i know thats not the # i just cant remember it right now)to get lock info, it all comes back as off. can mm6 error be for something else?
Sim Card
When I unlocked mine, you are supposed to put in a different SIM when you unlock your phone. Not the same one you use daily. Probably why it isn't working right...

I had my daily sim when I unlocked mine at cellunlocker.net/samsung-unlock.php and all went fine.
OP: Try another sim.

I just bought an unlock code I'll need during a trip for $9. Can't get much better than that. (haven't tested it yet)
It could be months before someone releases a free method.

Who did you buy the unlock code from? Thanks

Edit:
First person fell through and refunded.
Ended up getting one from Ebay for $12. Confirmed code working now.
Depending on your carrier, the prices may differ.

Where did you buy it? Can you tell me? I want to buy too..
If you're up for it, flashing Metro pcs firmware onto Tmobile variant is said to work. When unlocked, you can flash back onto the Tmobile firmware. I'm not brave enough to try...I have 14 days left so I can unlock

Just do a search on Ebay for..
"Galaxy S6 unlock code" and your carrier
The auction was for my carrier.
You'll have to find yours.
you need to flash it to metropcs firmware, then request the unlockcode, i use cellunlocker.net, use all usa carriers because if you request for t-mobile it going to say not elegible to unlock. once you got the code, follow this:
1: power off your device
2: put a non accepted sim
3: turn on your device
4: put it the unlock code
once you got unlocked don't flash again to t-mobile because it gonna blocked again.
hope this help you.
Yesterday I unlocked my phone using network unlock code. I got it from Getunlocked.com. Their service is fast and they provide me the unlock code and unfreeze code. Before approaching them I tried two different providers but they couldnt able to find out the unlock code for me.
The process is simple
1. Put a new sim Card
2. Switch on the phone
3. It will ask you for network unlock code
Enter network unlock code
4. Will give you a message network unlock successful
* If that doesnt work then you may need unfreeze code
1) Restart the phone with the new SIM Card inserted
2) You should be prompted for an unlock code
3) Enter this DEFREEZE code: xxxxxxxx and press unlock
4) The phone will display “Network Unlock Request Unsuccessful”
5) Enter the NETWORK Code: XXXXXXXX and press unlock
6) Phone should display “Network Unlock Successful”

Little to none. They're not at&t.
Hello All,
I'm newbie in Unlocking and Rooting the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge. It's my brother's phone and he sent it to me from US to Egypt, I need now to unlock the phone and my question is,
If I Rooted the phone and unlocked the Bootloader and Flashed a Custom ROM, will I be able to use any SIM card? Or I have to Unlock the phone using the Unlock websites for 29$?
Thanks in advance.
Currently, there isn't a way to root the AT&T version of the Note Edge. The answer to your question is yes, if your are able to unlock the bootloader and flash a custom ROM, you would be able to use your SIM card.
I wouldn't trust any of the websites offering an unlock or root services but that's just my opinion.

I bought an unlock code back in Nov last year, the day that I got the phone. Worked perfectly. Now I can use any GSM SIM cards.

I love the comments full of nothigness...
Care to provide the information so that we can also do it?
And love the replies that are sarcastic in nature.
You've posted more than I have, and all this time you don't know that you can buy unlock codes from various places? It has been discussed to death in the forums.
Anyway, since you want to know, I'll help you out. I bought my code from cellunlocker . net. You need another SIM card that is not your network, plug it in the phone, and the phone will ask you for the unlock code. Put in the unlock code that you bought from the place that I mentioned. Viola! It's permanently unlocked.
