Has anyone figured out how to unlock there Gs6 - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just bought an unlock code I'll need during a trip for $9. Can't get much better than that. (haven't tested it yet)
It could be months before someone releases a free method.

Who did you buy the unlock code from? Thanks

Edit:
First person fell through and refunded.
Ended up getting one from Ebay for $12. Confirmed code working now.
Depending on your carrier, the prices may differ.

Where did you buy it? Can you tell me? I want to buy too..

If you're up for it, flashing Metro pcs firmware onto Tmobile variant is said to work. When unlocked, you can flash back onto the Tmobile firmware. I'm not brave enough to try...I have 14 days left so I can unlock

Just do a search on Ebay for..
"Galaxy S6 unlock code" and your carrier
The auction was for my carrier.
You'll have to find yours.

you need to flash it to metropcs firmware, then request the unlockcode, i use cellunlocker.net, use all usa carriers because if you request for t-mobile it going to say not elegible to unlock. once you got the code, follow this:
1: power off your device
2: put a non accepted sim
3: turn on your device
4: put it the unlock code
once you got unlocked don't flash again to t-mobile because it gonna blocked again.
hope this help you.

Yesterday I unlocked my phone using network unlock code. I got it from Getunlocked.com. Their service is fast and they provide me the unlock code and unfreeze code. Before approaching them I tried two different providers but they couldnt able to find out the unlock code for me.
The process is simple
1. Put a new sim Card
2. Switch on the phone
3. It will ask you for network unlock code
Enter network unlock code
4. Will give you a message network unlock successful
* If that doesnt work then you may need unfreeze code
1) Restart the phone with the new SIM Card inserted
2) You should be prompted for an unlock code
3) Enter this DEFREEZE code: xxxxxxxx and press unlock
4) The phone will display “Network Unlock Request Unsuccessful”
5) Enter the NETWORK Code: XXXXXXXX and press unlock
6) Phone should display “Network Unlock Successful”

You'll need to have an unlock code. This you can buy online for about 35 bucks
Then you insert a foreign sim card and enter the unlock code.

Sim unlock for Rogers Nexus S
Ok I am trying to figure out where I can get my hands on a free SIM unlock code for my Nexus S currently on the Rogers network.
Anyone have any ideas or advice that would point me in the right direction really not in the mood to pay for it. Figure I would be able to do it myself some how.
Thanks

which website to carrier unlock LG p925g?

Hey everyone,
A friend from canada just gave me his old p925g phone that is locked on rogers and I've been looking online but there doesn't seem to be a free way to sim unlock this phone. Many people seem to have had some success unlocking this phone through some websites by paying and I was wondering if you guys could share which website you used?
There are many websites just by googling this, but I've never used this kind of service and I'm quite sure many websites are scams so I was hoping someone here could confirm a successful unlock with the name of the service used.
Thanks!

There was a cheaper service but couldn't find.
@arsen4oo
Thanks for the link, cheaper then $1.99?? this price is already good for me!
Have you personally used this? How did it go? you bought this and then they sent you a letter to your home with the unlock code?
I'll look for the link and post it, I already tried a Site and it took no more than 5mins to receive the code via email.

I still have one more question, I saw this on the website: "You will also need a sim card from the network that are currently mobile phone is working. Sim card will be needed when you will entering unlock code to Your phone."
Did you use it to unlock? I'm in France and I don't have the sim card. My friend cancelled his plan at rogers and now lives in japan so there's no way to get the sim card.
Well what it means is that you need a sim that actually works when inserting the code. I used the sim that worked typed the code then my phone was ready to accept any sim card.

well... it seems like i wont be able to unlock it then, being in france its gonna be hard to find anyone that has a rogers sim card...
thanx for the help!

@longlife_01
You don't need Rogers sim card to unlock Rogers phone when inserting the code. You're supposed to use non-Rogers sim to get that locked screen to insert the code. And I don't think you need a working sim to unlock, as long as not a Rogers sim. I used one my old overseas sim from asia trip to unlocked my rogers phone

G935T Unlocked and Running ATT

I was able to unlock my G935T, Galaxy S7Edge today so I can use it on my ATT Account. I had to call TMO customer service because the Unlock Ap that came with the phone would not authorize the unlock when I first tried it.
Over the last few days, in the process of getting unlocked I learned a few things:
1) Phone has to be on TMOBILE for about 5 to 7 days before their system can recognize the device. it might happen sooner - took five days for their systems to see that I had the S7 Edge active on the account.
2) until we are rooted, you have to be able to meet Tmobile Requirements to unlock a device:
A) Be a Tmobile customer for a minimum of 1 year
B) Phone is active on TMOBILE Account for a minimum of 40 days
C) Phone is active on a PRE-PAY account. and Pre Pay account has a minimum balance of $100
From what I understand, You only need to meet one of the three requirements, A or B or C.
My experience in working with Customer Support was mixed. Most were very helpful (I have been trying to get customer support to authorize my unlock since day 2 of owning the phone) One guy was a jerk and refused to accept that I met the requirements. He kept saying something that was not mentioned in the rules at all - sort of making things up to meet his understanding - but when he transferred me to a higher level of support, they understood and actually helped me.
The good news is, there is a guy in Tmobile Note 5 Forums that can help you unlock devices (once you are rooted) My understanding is that he is offering his services free of charge but will accept donations to anyone grateful enough to donate something if the want to. Once we havr root, head over here to get more information) Sim Unlock - US and International
Finally, there is one other way you may be able to unlock your TMobile S7 Edge but you will have to wait until Sammobile has Firmware posted for our devices. Specifically you will need firmware for Metro PC G935T1 (versus G935T) They use the exact same firmware that is used by TMOBILE (at least they did on the Note 5 and S6) Metro PCS does not use the Unlock ap to unlock the sim card, you will just need an unlock code. Flashing their firmware in odin on the S6 and Note 5 would then allow you to put a sim card from another carrier and unlock the sim with an Unlock code. YOU CANNOT use unlock codes on TMOBILE Firmware because of their "Unlock AP" it somehow disables the ability to unlock with a code - but because METRO PC doesn't have the unlock app, it is a non issue.
Hope this is helpful...
Good to know!
So does everything work perfectly on the AT&T network.... Mainly LTE?

Hi stifilz, thank you for coming here! I completed your Google Docs form just now. Obviously we don't have root yet. What's the procedure? Thanks! :good:
I'd like to get information if anyone can inbox me on how I can purchase a T-Mobile S7 Edge to use on ATT. So far, in my local area, T-Mobile won't sell me the device unless I have an account attached to it. I was willing to just buy the device out right.

Thanks for the info! I'm actually choosing tmobile's s7 edge over att's because of the "smart manager" feature, which att had it disabled. Could you confirm that this feature is present on g935t?

Unlock Request/ UNSUPPORTED DEVICE :(

Just got this back from ATT. I can go to one of the pay sites (any suggestions?).....but I am rather dismayed by the "....no longer supported...." verbiage.
Thank you for contacting AT&T about unlocking your mobile device.
Unfortunately, your unlock request was denied because:
Your device is no longer supported, and we can no longer obtain the unlock code from the manufacturer.
Questions? Please call 800.331.0500, or dial 611 from your AT&T wireless phone.
Yeah I suspect that means no update either..I am done buying devices from carriers.

Hey,
If you still want to opt for a paid service, try www.unlockunit.com. I've unlocked 2 Samsungs and an LG with them. You get the code in 1-2 hours, depending on the network. AT&T should work even faster, though, like 30 minutes.

Thanks, contemplating a trip to Europe, would be nice to be able to pop a pre-paid SIM in. Being rooted and running Fulmics should not present a problem, correct?
I think you have to return to the stock firmware in order for the unlock code to work. A year ago i purchased a code from a website for a samsung with cyanogenmod on it, and I had to flash the stock firmware to be able to use the code.

Grrrr. Rocking Fulmics 5.0 at the moment and not all that interested in returning to stock.
The unlock is permanent. Once unlocked you can return to Fulmics

Enter network unlock code

Hi,
I just bought a brand new sm-g930f. I bought it from amazon in the states and brought it with me (never entered a sim) back to israel.
Now when i entered my sim card and tried to use the phone i get a message Enter network unlock code.
I have doubled checked and my version is the international unlocked version and it shouldn't be locked in any way.
Has anyone see this type of behavior and knows what i can do?
The phone is useless for me currently.
Thanks for any help

Yeah.. That's cause your phone is Locked to some Carrier in Europe or Somewhere in America probably!
They sold it as Unlocked but it could have been mixed in the SAMSUNG department when they released it to be sold.
Easy Way:
What you have to do now is discover which carrier is it Locked in! Once you got that (On Recovery Mode Shows You Exactly Which One Is It), you can look for an Online Uncloker company (I have few if you need some help) and put the Country and Carrier that we'll know by the CSC pay few cash and you'll be able to put your SimCard and be free to go..
Hard Way:
Pack everything back together, submit to Amazon's Return Policy (reasonable, once it should be Unlocked and you find out it really isn't), print the return formulary, pack the goodies as they came, go to your post office and than send it back to USA and crosse your fingers hoping that they'll send you back to Israel instead of your previous adress in USA!
Only a locked phone will ask you for the network unlock code. So I recommend contacting a unlocking service www.unlockradar.com. Ask them to find out the network your phone is locked to, they can do that. They also can unlock your phone once the network is find out.
Just find someone who has chimera tool and just unlock it directly with USB cable
