Hi all
I'm on stock rom and Light Flow was working all fine. All of the sudden led notification is not working. I uninstalled Light Flow and led is turned on in settings, but nothing.
Any ideas?

You broke your LED. Use a google search. Plenty of threads on XDA.
Third party LED apps seem to be causing issues, the app itself even has a disclaimer on the playstore.
You will need an LED module replacement, if not rooted it's free.

Don't worry about it, you may be able to arrange an exchange and claim a defective LED as long as the phone is under warranty (knox 0x0).
Or a repair that shouldn't take long at all.
If rooted, repair costs 50$ here.

Samsung galaxy s8 notification light
Hey Everybody,
Good news!
I've had the same issue as well after using light flow and Samsung suggested returning the phone for repairs. Even debug mode showed the led wasn't working. I couldn't really bother though coz I know how long those repairs take. So I just left it at that. Today I received a Samsung update with the June security patch and guess what like magic the phone restarted and the blue light turned on while updating. I don't think Light flow or others kill the led but they did screw something up. Never installing those again. I have it on my Pixel XL and I'll leave that for it. So good luck folks.
It may not be a physical problem with the phone. Some people sent theirs in for repair and the came back and stopped working again. After an update a lot of people who hadn't sent the phone in for repair reported that the LED was working again. It might be a physical problem, but more likely software.

Has anyone else experienced an issue with the sensors(gyroscope, accelerometer, compass, magnetic sensor) not working? The sensors will start working every now and then like once a month, for a couple of days. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

What ROM are you using? Can you exclude that this is a software error?

This problem has persisted on every Rom I have used, from Stock, to TrickDroid, to PACman. When I first installed PACman the problem went away for about a month, I thought it was gone for good. I think its a software error since it starts to work every now and then, but I don't really know.

Hmm interesting. Do you still have warranty ? Its a known One X problem so try the following:
- Calibrate your sensor in the settings (will not solve your problem i think)
- Reboot your phone and hold your Power+Volume Up Button at the same time (WHILE reboot, hold them down). Let it bootloop a few times. 4-5 times should be fine. Then release the power button but still hold down your Volume Up Button. Now let it boot. It works for some users without any real explanation.
Good luck

I don't think I have warranty---I never paid for it when I bought the phone. Yeah calibrating the sensor does nothing for me. I tried the second option but I'm not sure if i'm doing it right. The phone doesn't keep rebooting unless I let go of the power button after it turns off. And thanks for the help so far!

You got 2 years warranty on every HTC phone (in Germany. But it has to be 1-2 years outside too). Me neither,i got it for free from a marketing research program and it was ok to send them a copy of my receipt. Anyways, i will help you tomorrow its late here.

Thanks a lot! If this ends up not working out I guess I could just use the warranty
Try to boot in safe mode and then try to calibrate your sensor via settings. Completly shut down your phone and then push the power button until the screen turns on. When you see the HTC logo, hold down the Vol - button. You now should be in safe mode.

I'm on PAC rom...I don't there is an option to calibrate the sensor, but I tried this while I was on stock and it didn't work.
Normally there has to be an option. Are you sure? Look under Display Settings. Try this out: Sensor Calibrator

There would be an option but there isn't on the custom rom that I'm on. That app is for the Proximity Sensor...my proximity sensor works, what doesn't work is the gyroscope, accelerometer, compass, magnetic sensor, and orientation sensor. I think I'll just have to send it in and use the warranty.
Hmm that really doesnt sounds like a simple software error... Hope you still got warranty

I guess I have HTC warranty cause I haven't had the phone for a year yet, the only problem is that I bought the phone online with T-mobile, I didn't get a receipt, so I don't have a proof of purchase. Thanks for the help!
it's a hardware issue guaranteed

I am sure you got an e-mail from them about your purchase. Or call them and ask if they can send you any proof of purchase. Good luck!
My note 3 screen won't auto rotate even if I turn the auto rotate on. Then if I check the sensors status by using app like phone test, I can see all sensors not working. But after a reboot, everything works fine. But after about 1 hour to couple of hours, it fails again (all sensors not working). I am so confused because I thought it's a hardware problem but reset does solve the problem but not for long.
My phone is KNOX tripped so I took it to Samsung service centre in London and they refused to repair it. The thing is they didn't even let me know they wouldn't repair it until I came after couple of days to them to ask how was going on with my phone after I gave them to check several days ago. I am really disappointed with their service.
I have manually flashed latest stock ROM but the problem still exists.
Anything I can do?

That's weird, if it's hardware I don't get why it works for an hour.
You might have to tell them to do a paid repair in this case - as reflashing doesn't fix it.

Yeah that's why I am so confused. It happened since I manually flashed a rom (kitkat) in February. Don't remember the version. I though my phone wouldn't be updated via OTA because mine is rooted. But then couple of days ago when i saw UK just got update via OTA on 11 March then I flashed with that room but still no good.
Have you tried dialing *#0*# ?
Then tap on sensors. Maybe you'll get some additional information that helps to determine your exact problem...
Good luck!

I don't understand why samsung in some country it's look like they don't care of the tripped knox if it's hardware problem. Here my seller tell me sometime it's ok, sometime not so it's better to loose the phone since they offer an insurance replacement then trying to get it repair
If phone was rooted and now has a HW problem in Service Centre cant help you because of KNOX.
You have to find simple Repair service, where they dot care about KNOX, then they can easyly to fix by replacing IC-SENSOR

Too bad to hear that. Now I can confirm it's barometer not working because after a reset, every other sensors are working except barometer. But after a while (half hour to couple of hours), all sensors become not working. I am not sure if it's the barometer causing the problem. I called Samsung customer service last Friday and they said they were going to send me a prepaid envelop so that I can post my phone to them to repair. Still waiting for the envelop.
If they refuse it again, slap them with EU Directive 1999/44/EC. (Last I checked, London was part of the EU.) http://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-cont...CRr1xWc3zx8PW!1364417607?uri=CELEX:31999L0044
They are not allowed to refuse a warranty claim unless they can, with clear evidence, proof that your modification to the system caused the defect.
They repaired.
Just an update. This finally got sorted by Samsung service centre. Sent to them last Tuesday and they sent me back today. I am still testing, seems all working. They didn't ask me about rooting or tripped knox. The phone is still knox tripped but anyway they repaired the hardware. They didn't mention what repair they have done.

Hello guys. If you'll have any problem with the phone please make sure to let me know. I will do my best to help. Thank you!
Hmm, well, my D6653 never enters deep sleep when on mobile data. I already did a repair using PC companion, tried other roms, safe mode, no apps etc etc and it still happens.
Is that so? It still prevails after flashing a custom rom? The only conclusion is that it's a hardware problem. But the screen is controlled by software and not hardware. Even I can't imagine why it's happening. I would recommend installing a custom rom or resetting the phone, but since you have already done that, I suggest you to give it to the nearest service center. Or maybe phone is not supposed to enter deep sleep when data is on, that's the only answer if it's not a hardware problem. Hope you find a solution soon! Cheers! :good:

The OP says "No apps" but the OS is perhaps doing something. For example, Play Services gets updated whenever google feels like it. I guess you could try turning off background data. Maybe look at the logcat output and see what was happening when it woke up?
I don't have root so I can't get logcat. I *think* it might be related to fast dormancy (it deep sleeps normally with wifi on) but I can't turn it off without root, and I'm not planning to unlock my bootloader lol. I also don't have warranty since my device was imported.

But that's good since if you have warranty, unlocking the boot loader will void it. So you can do anything with it. Just make sure you go by the steps to be away from errors.

But I don't want to lose all the DRM related stuff :crying: I tried anything I could, even using ADB to change the fast dormancy configuration but nothing worked. Wakelock detector for PC shows my device is awake 20% of the time.
It's not MAJOR, I mean, I can finish the day with 35, 30% of battery left. It just prevents me from having the so called 2 day battery life
My camera has a pink spot on plain white or gray background. Sony cannot help, so it is up to the users to figure this out on their own. How to fix? :good:

Oh that's the same reason why I did not do unlocking and stuff with my phone. Anyways try to contact a service center and get your phone diagnosed. Maybe it can be a hardware fault. Because if it was a software issue, it would have been fixed with a custom rom.

hi i'm currently experiencing bootlooping,
i've tried connecting it to pc, load pc companion but it shows "phone / tablet not connected" - (S1Boot Fastboot failed to install).
any idea how can i fix this ?
Hello,
since i bought this phone the call volume is very low, when i call someone or someone calls me i can barely hear them. I set call volume in settings to maximum and that did not help. When i call someone sometimes the mic does not work properly and the person who i called say that my mic has a lot of static and buzzing noise.
Another problem that started about 2 weeks after i got the phone is that it will randomly freeze and then do a hard reboot. I have another friend with the same phone and he says he has never had his phone freeze. i could be on the internet browser or just unlocking the phone to check the time and it would freeze up and restart. I have also tried restoring back to factory settings and also made sure the phone is the newest version of cyanogen mod. This phone freezes at least one to two times a day. anything i can do to fix this or is this phone a lemon and should be RMA'd?? How long will i have to wait for a replacement?? i have heard horror stories about their customer service.
try a different rom
n if that doesn't work
dont be cynical about the service
just contact the authorities

tried that and it doesn't seem to help. im going to wait until OPO's tech team says. If i have to root to get better logs through catlog then ill root it and go from there ( as long as rooting doesnt void warranty)
Hope they help you out. And to answer your question about rooting, no it does not void warranty.
Sorry I couldn't be much help.
Goodluck
I would definitely root. I had the same issue with the low volume. I adjusted the mixer path values manually. Search the forum for the volume mod. There is a flash zip version as well. The mic static is likely unrelated. I have not heard that before. Good luck!
Rooting does NOT void your warranty ( in fact good luck with that , the warranty part ... ) Unlocking the bootloader will though. As for the Oppo service, well i hope you are lucky and get an answer... If you are really not happy with it and bought it through Paypal, you would be better contesting the charges.
Hi Guys /girls.
Just got an S7, brand new on O2 (UK). I usually root my phones but haven't touched this as it's quick enough and I don't want to play around with it until the warranty ends.
In the past few days the phone has been freezing, then it will turn off, sometimes restarting entering a bootloop. It will come back on for a minute or two, then repeats.
At the moment it is working following a forced restart but not sure if this will last. Has anyone else had these issues? Or does anyone know what it could be? Going to get it swapped anyway just to make sure but I can't understand the cause. Thanks in advance
Had the same issue this moth, send it to warranty it will only be worse over the days. Samsung replaced my mbo and now everything is ok
Getting worse.... Trying to get it sorted with O2 is an absolute joke, their customer service is disgusting. Been into two stores and on the phone to them twice and they're not simply swapping it for me.... I haven't even had the device three weeks

Are you using anything the same as with the last one, like a MicroSD card or headphones etc?
Anything that is common between the two phones?
Same app that might be doing it? Maybe a restore from a Google backup when you first boot up reinstalling a buggy app?
Did you upgrade firmware to the latest version? It might be a software bug.
Seems fine now cheers guys. Auto frmware updates (x2) were done last night....must have been a one off. Definitely won't be rooting this device like my older phones!
