Z5 Dual - No service on both cards, now what? - Xperia Z5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have been having sporadic reboots (which would drop battery life in big chunks). My phone had also been randomly losing signal on both cards, which would return once I rebooted. This has been going on for the past few months. Well, it finally kicked the bucket last night.
Ironically, I had called Sony a few days ago inquiring about repairing my phone and they told me it was from Hong Kong, and that they do not repair phones from Hong Kong or out of warranty phones, so they were useless.
So now what? I have tried a repair with Xperia Companion.
If there is nothing else I can try, I may rip it open and replace the battery. But I am not sure that will fix the reception problem.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Possible Water Damage

So I bought a Verizon Galaxy off of Craigslist, as I wasn't due for an upgrade. I was able to activate the phone just fine and I checked the water damage sticker behind the battery, all was good. About a week later I started getting the "Mobile Network Not Available" error. I've had Verizon replace the SIM card 3 times and all three times the phone would work intermittently. I contacted Samsung and sent it in for repair, they marked it as "Liquid Damage on PBA Components" and marked it as "Beyond Economical Repair. Does anyone know if the PBA is the mobo? And possibly where to find one. I've found the SIM tray available for purchase but I don't know if this is the right fix. I talked to a cell phone repair tech and he said since it's only the phone functionality intermittently that I could clean the corrosion off of the board with Acetone. Anyone have any recommendations for me? Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to provide.
P.S. The phone is being delivered to me today.

[Q] Has anyone had a Lumia 710 that randomly reboots?

Hey guys, so I recently got a replacement Lumia 710 from the Nokia repair center, and it works fine but I noticed that it will reboot completely randomly around 2-3 times a day. From what I can tell, there is no specific trigger that causes this. It's almost always been idle (sitting on my desk/ in my pocket) except for a couple times. This problem occurs with stock and custom ROMs. Also when the phone comes back, it seems like the battery percent jumps down ~4-6%
The only thing I can think might cause this is a new SIM card. Before I sent my phone in for repair, I had a regular SIM that I cut into a microSIM. Almost immediately after getting my replacement phone, I activated a real microSIM I got from AT&T. This weekend I plan on trying to get a replacement SIM card from AT&T again to see if that fixes it, but I wanted to know if anyone else ran into a similar problem.
The thing that really confuses me is how random the bug is. It happens whether the phone is in use or not, at random times of the day, on a couple different ROMs (including stock), and only 2-3 times a day. I'm considering sending it back for repair, but I'd like to hear from you guys before I go 2 weeks without a phone.
Phone Info:
T-Mobile US RM-809 Lumia 710 (white)
Phone OS: Currently running WP7.8 (RainbowMod ROM) but the problem is ROM-independent.
Hi,
exactly the same problem but only since the 7.8 update. Before the update my wife never had any random reboot.
The phone reboots randomly 2-3 times a day.
Maybe it's a coincidence.

OnePlus ONE issue after RMA to Support Center

Hi all,
open this thread to share with you my experience.
I hope that someone could help me.
My OPO, 1 year and few months old, always was working fine.
One morning switch on my phone and I see on display the message "battery too low. charge a wile before use" etc etc.
I start to see on web forum, try some solutions but nothing. Then I open an RMA to oneplus support...and here start the nightmare for me.
Two days and DHL arrive to pick-up my phone. After 2 days I se on ARVATO web site (ARVATO is the warranty center for OnePlus) that my phone is out of warranty becouse there was wather inside! What??!! They send me pictures of the motherboard and battery connector and it is obvious that the problem was battery that released acid.
So, after 2 weeks fighting with the oneplus support, I decide to give up with the warranty and ask to send me back my phone without fix the problem.
I think, i buy a new battery and change it with my hands.
After almost 2 months my phone come back in my hands. I open the phone, change the battery and it start without problem.
YeaH! I win! ...no, I lose becouse after the RMA and OnePlus support, my phone now works fine with wifi, with all connections type but when I insert sim card I have not operator signal.
I tryed to change sim, to reset the phone, to flash the rom, to check if connector are all inserted fine in the motherboard...nothing.
My ohone now doesn't get signal. The sim card is detected fine becouse the phone ask me pin code at the boot and if I scan the operator modile network I find the Italian mobile operator.
But, when I try to register my sin on the network, I get error and phone is killed out.
Move the sim on another phone all working fine.
I think that OnePlus warranty center had blocked my phone or something like this.
Do you have an idea? what could be the problem and how can solve it?
Thx to you all

Hii,did you tried clean flashing through fastboot?

Mobile networks problems after repairing my phone at shop for water damage

Hi
I have a rooted Galaxy note 5 phone SM-N920C model.
Some water got into my phone and i had to take it to a phone shop to get it fixed its was working fine after the water damage but the power button had to be pressed hard to work.
the repair guy told me he had to replace several some parts i think some cpus.
After i got my phone my sim would work and then randomly stop working and i couldn't make calls nor will mobile data work. Then randomly it would work again and stop randomly.
i tried my sim in another phone and it was working fine, even tried my friend's in my phone and it had the same problem.
An important thing that i found is that the model in my device info has changed from SM-N920C to SM-G935T Aka Samasung S7 Edge.
after a couple of days i figured out that outside the house the mobile network works fine but inside it it doesn't might have to do with the signal i'm getting from the device. So im thinking of this an error from the guy who fixed it so i'm going to return it to him.
Things i did trying to fix it : flash all kind of different roms, unrooted, rerooted and also tried to install S7 Edge roms also tried the S7 Edge stock rom.

Radio off after repair

Hey everybody!
I just got my phone back from being repaired from water damage. HTC U11 plus.
Everything is working fine but the mobile network doesnt connect. I´ve tried everything, turn phone on/off, airplane mode on/off complete reset of phone. The sim card works fine in other phones. Wifi and bluetooth are working.
I´ve contacted the place I had it repaired but no answer yet.
I never rooted the phone cause I never had a reason to, maybe doing so would help solve the issue?
Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.
i got the same problem with my U11 plus. drop it from bed height. no damage seen physically then after i updated last february no mobile radio network. talk to htc reps ans said to send for repair. bottomline it end up motherboard issue, they replace my motherboard. but heads up it will take one and half for mine to get back.

Thanks for the reply, my phone couldn't be repaired under guarantee so the eBay seller I got it from had it sent for repair somewhere else. Apparently there was a lot of damage and they seemed to have fixed everything but maybe didn't check the SIM card?
