Here's a working dialer for those interested.
This does not require root ? Do we need to force disable the Samsung dialer ?

No root. Set as default dialer and it works like a charm.
Will not install on my S8+
Not installing on mine either.

Sorry everyone, uploaded wrong file. I was checking so many cause some don't work. I edited the first and provided screenshots.

Nice find, thanks! I had another one installed, but the local search was not working. This one works great.
Keeps force closing for me any ideas how to resolve?

Force closed after I gave it permissions to "make and manage phone calls"
Works great for me. Thank you.
I had to set it as default and give it add permissions to keep it from force closing.

Fantastic! Hated the Samsung dialer interface. Thanks alot.
Works on my s8+ but the caller ID doesn't
Thanks! Everything works except for missed calls notification. Any suggestions?
Any way to get the Caller ID to work or any recommendations for a caller id app

I was about to install but while I like this dialer design over Samsung's the main reason I was going to switch for the better caller ID. Would love to find an elegant solution to this.

Requires Xposed Framework!
You're using accessibility settings for something like Dynamic Notifications. You scan for Wi-Fi and you get "Scan finished", you're playing a video, and you can't hide the UI.
Issues fixed by this mod:
Doing a Wi-Fi scan in Settings makes the device speak "Scan finished".
Playing a video on the Samsung Galaxy S4 with accessibility enabled prevents the UI from being hidden when the video is clicked.
The device speaks "Folder opened/closed" when a folder is opened/closed on 4.1.2 devices.
This mod fixes those.
Know some more of these? Post them here and I'll try to kill them with fire.
Compatibility:
Tested only with the Galaxy S4, might work with other devices.

The mod is open source, and licensed under GPLv3: https://github.com/MohammadAG/Xposed-Fix-talkback-issues

If this works, great job. I had these issues too but they seem to have somewhat been solved by Samsung. I mean the bug exists but the havoc it caused has been gone.
Now whenever you enable an accessiblity provider it turns off Multiview and other S Features. But you can re-enable them and they work.
You should really post this at Samsungs developer bug/thread too. I am sure many developers would be thankful.

I can confirm it screwed with the camera shutter sounds, absolutely bizarre:
1) I had the feature enabled in the CSC others.xml file to turn off shutter sounds, and did so through camera settings.
2) I also deleted the appropriate files from /system/media/audio/ui
3) Was working fine, zero shutter or focus sounds. But, after installing this module, the sounds all comeback, even though the sound files have been deleted!

This may sound like a stupid question, but exactly does this mod do? what I want it to do is: when i turn a service on in accessibility settings, it automaticly turns talkback on although i ask it to turn that on.
Will this mod fix this?

Hey OP, did some more testing, turns out it was a different module that was causing the strange camera behavior. I've revised my above posts accordingly to ensure there is no confusion, and have re-installed your module.
Thx!

Oh ok. I thought this also kills all those annoying sound feedback for everything you do. Also the stupid requirement of turning off smart stay, smart pause, air view, air gesture, MultiWindow options in order to use accessibility options. Is it also possible to kill those also? Thanks for all your work.

I have a T-Mobile G3 and had a similar experience. I install the app and open it. I select several apps to include in dual window and hit the "Apply" button. Then a button appears that says, "Reboot..." and that button does nothing. So I reboot the phone, and none of my changes are there. When I look at the app in app manager, it shows no data stored for the app.
I uninstalled, downloaded and installed again with the same result.
I would love for this to work. I wonder if it is conflicting with some other root app...an xposed module or something.
Guys,
You can enable all apps to work with multi-window if your rooted.
All you need to do is edit the build prop info

Set persist.splitwindow.support_all=true and reboot.
But I'd prefer to pick and choose what apps can work in splitview. It's a pain to scroll through the entire list to find that one app that's about 80% of the way down.
Doesn't work for me either..using the build.prop edit for now
I would like to say thank you to those who've bought the app, so i've uploaded a new version that support:
* hiding system apps
* hiding lg apps
* alphabetical order
Thank you for the support

Google dialer was already set to default so no need to get mad dude. Strange things is, it happens only on dual sim variant. I tried it on a regular S7 single sim and default blue is showing.
Now when it comes to contact picture, it doesn't show on outgoing or incomming. Any idea why?

This happens because the Google Dialer app, for some reason, seems to set a default colour of green on your SIM1 and blue on your SIM2. If you get a call on SIM1, it will be green. Not sure how to change that though.
When I have switched to Google Dialer and I have missed call I can see on "always on display" missed call notification. However when I open google dialer it doesn't clear this notification and it is still on.
Have anyone found a solution to make this notification disappear when google dialer is opened? eg. with tasker?
I wish someone would make the new Google dialer 4.0.127222140 work on the Galaxy S7 (or any other phone that's not a Nexus or One device)
Anyone know who helps with this?
The new Google dialer has some new features that are really cool - when a known or suspected spam caller calls your phone, the banner is red instead of the standard blue color with the older versions, alerting you that it's a suspected spam caller AND it allows you to block and report the number as a spammer.

Probably will have to modify the Google Phone apk to remove the new check that Google has implemented.
Bingo, got it. You will have to uninstall your previous version of the app as this apk is not signed by Google.

Also check the MD5 checksum .

Hi,
I've tried nearly 10-12 apps to do this but no one could do it. Just the Launchify app did something that i want.
The problem is when you create a direct dial shortcut to notification drawer/bar it does not do the calling when you tab.
It gives different errors according to the app. One is saying can't find the app the other gives more spesific error ( Attached).
What must i do to change the permissions with root or terminator framework etc? Or why is this happening? Can someone help?
Thanks.
