What is the current firmware version of the phone? You can first try to install HTC official release 6.0 firmware,

Oh, I understand what you mean. You will Verizon m8 mid modified and the same as the international version of m8? Then you installed the official version of the international version of m8. But can not boot normally, has been stuck in the HTC LOGO that interface. You do so is certainly not because the Verizon m8 system partition table and the international version of the different you can try to use recovery to install third-party ROM, the use of international version of m8 official firmware can not boot after this is normal. Forgive me this bad English

It is very sorry, I did not appear the same situation with you. I use recovery to install 6.0 firmware, including boot kernel and baseband these, if you need this file, i can send it to you

This is horrible advice. It appears the OP has changed the MID and CID with intent to "fully convert" the phone to Euro version by RUU/firmware. This should not be done, as it won't work (RUU is not compatible with Verizon M8) and can even result in a radio brick!
This is not the same as flashing a ROM in TWRP, which can be done, provided the proper kernel is used (Verizon uses a different kernel from most other M8 versions).

No you need to restore stock rom for your device and update via OTA
Will this work on M7_UL PVT SHIP S-ON RH (Unlocked) with HBOOT 1.57?
I don't think I have the international version to be fair.
Thanks!

Thank you very much sir. One little question and i'm out of your hair...where can i find backup of stock rom 4.4.3 firmware 6.09.401.11...this is my trouble...i can't find it anywhere. I know that i must also relock my bootloader and reflash stock recovery. And can you please tell me the right order to do all of this...i don't want to mess my phone up. Thanks x 1000
I'll come later and clean the thread because i know this is probably upseting people with my stupid questions !

M7_UL is international version and yes it will work
Thank you!
So simply copy the M7_7 zip to the phone, go to TWRP recovery and Install ZIP from there, that is it?
It does not require S-OFF?

It doesn't state in OP that S-OFF is required so should work
Flash like normal rom if you want to use OTA later on pick the stock recovery, if you want too root ect, pick TWRP
Also may have to flash Boot.img via fastboot don't know if the rom installs it automatically
what are the changes in lollipop ?? do we have split camera like in m8 now ??
currently on kitkat rom..

Don't need flash boot.img via fastboot. It's auto flash with rom installation.

It's not stupid because I have the same question. It's a solution to upgrade your firmware if you have already a custom Rom and you are s-on?

Trying to install 6.0.1 dev edition

Hi there been a while since I've flashed stuff on htc devices and i'm trying to get dev edition 1.55.617.4 rooted odex rom on my device, i'm s-off and super cid rom installs but won't boot, i'm presuming its boot. Img or firmware related? Just after info if I extract boot. Img and firmware from the rom and flash separately will this solve the issue and will it remove twrp?
Currently on dev edition 1.12.617.6 CL639737
Thanks for any advice

Change the SUPER CID to BS_0001, install the original RUU from: http://dl3.htc.com/application/RUU_HIA_AERO_UL_M60_SENSE7GP_ATT_MR_NA_Gen_Unlock_1.56.617.1.exe, then proceed to install the TWRP and Root with Windroid.
Hi there it won't let me change the CID to what you've stated above it says invalid, also the link i think is for the ATT version, i'm in europe so believe i need the GSM version ?
I can change the CID to HTC__001 for example but not what you've quoted...
Really struggling to get my phone updated to 6.0.1 i've only had it a few days tried numerous methods but not getting anywhere fast I thought if i was S-off and Super CID you could pretty much flash anything as long as it was for your correct phone model ?
Hence me presuming my issue was more boot.img and recovery.img related ?
I downloaded the official Dev edition RUU from the HTC Dev download section but that won't install either...
Getting confused i'm sure i'm probably missing a pretty easy step somewhere...

I think you have the wrong forum ?
Got it sorted in the end, changed the info.txt file in the firmware to suit the phone, even though it said it failed when installing the firmware it had actually installed and then the 6.0.1 dev edition rooted rom installed... Happy days...
So i'm not sure if the Mid or Cid was the issue but either way when i changed the info.txt file to suit it worked...

I have s-off, now what? ROM suggestions? Upgrade firmware?

So I have s-off now but I'm not sure what to do about the firmware. It's running 1.27.502.5 but I don't know how to upgrade the firmare. The roms I see seem to require it. Is there a rom anyone recomends for my phone as is? Or upgrade?

Is your phone international or US?
If it IS us and not unlocked, see this thread to upgrade to firmware 1.57: http://forum.xda-developers.com/one...nvert-to-htc-usa-unlocked-1-12-t3271861/page8
Then, you can flash caynogenmod, or mokee ROM.
You can also use a tutorial I made to flash a new splash screen to match your custom boot animation:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/one-a9/general/s-off-custom-splash-screen-t3506737/page1
it is US but I have unlocked the bootloader to root. Or are you talking about sim unlocked? Sorry, I haven't rooted a phone since the m7 years ago.

Did you buy it from a carrier or from HTC.com as unlocked? If it can pre-sim unlocked, you can flash the most recent firmware (as ruu). Only then will you be able to run CyanogenMod or mokee (ROM)

You will need to use the first link I posted to come very to the USA unlocked model. Then you can upgrade firmware to 1.57

Htc a9 at&t

I wanted the newest android Nougat on the phone so i paid for the sunshine s-off and changed the cid and mid. Loaded twrp recovery couldn't get anything to work with that either so i figured it was cause i didn't erase everything the right way and used twrp advanced wipe and now it looks like im really screwed! any help would be appreciated!! Also i tried the RUU from HTC nothing works !!! i want to cuss so bad AAHHHHHH
You're going to have to be more specific about what you did if you want anyone to help you. What did you try to do that didn't work the first time? What all did you wipe? What is your device doing now? How did you try and use the RUU and did it give you any clues when it didn't work? Can you boot into fastboot mode at all?

If converting, soff is needed, and you have to incrementally update device to current ota.. Cannot just change cid and mid and flash the Nougat ruu...

You will have to take the 1.56.X latest ruu manually (from recovery or SD download mode) and then upgrade using the OTA.
Or PM me for the firmware image for the a9 to get to nougat.

Install Unlocked ROM in a T-mobile phone

Hello, i have a question, it's a way to change from the stock t-mobile ROM to a stock unlocked version? i don't like the t-mobile apps and that stuff, i just made this process in my old M9 ans M8, but i don't know if the process is the same on the U11 life.
are the same steps? Unlock bootloader, make the s-off, change CID, install new ROM?
Thanks guys

Steps would be similar, Unlock bootloader, Install twrp, install new ROM.
S-off is not available for this device, no need to change CID.

Not sure on an open market ROM, to build one you will need the system and boot images from the ruu. Use the HTC-RUU Decrypt Tool to get them from the ruu.
Use superr kitchen to build the rom.
Here is a Stock rom based on the unlocked ruu 2.15.617.12
Works on T-Mobile
