I have s-off, now what? ROM suggestions? Upgrade firmware? - HTC One A9

So I have s-off now but I'm not sure what to do about the firmware. It's running 1.27.502.5 but I don't know how to upgrade the firmare. The roms I see seem to require it. Is there a rom anyone recomends for my phone as is? Or upgrade?

Is your phone international or US?
If it IS us and not unlocked, see this thread to upgrade to firmware 1.57: http://forum.xda-developers.com/one...nvert-to-htc-usa-unlocked-1-12-t3271861/page8
Then, you can flash caynogenmod, or mokee ROM.
You can also use a tutorial I made to flash a new splash screen to match your custom boot animation:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/one-a9/general/s-off-custom-splash-screen-t3506737/page1

it is US but I have unlocked the bootloader to root. Or are you talking about sim unlocked? Sorry, I haven't rooted a phone since the m7 years ago.

Did you buy it from a carrier or from HTC.com as unlocked? If it can pre-sim unlocked, you can flash the most recent firmware (as ruu). Only then will you be able to run CyanogenMod or mokee (ROM)

I got it from ATT so I unlocked the bootloader myself. I used the sunshine app for S-off.

You will need to use the first link I posted to come very to the USA unlocked model. Then you can upgrade firmware to 1.57

if your phone is CID unlocked, its the same procedure as the upgrade.
just pick the ROM you like and downgrade
(might be smart to install the official Qtek 2.20 ROM first, and then install anything you like !

Surely u can downgrade as I was also using 3.2 but then decided to downgrade to 2.3 lvsw(latest one)...its irrespective of cid
locking...as i also have G4 device which is CID unlocked....
Procedure is quite simple...first downgrade to offcial WWE rom (older one) and then upgrade it from there...just follow what id described in this thread's first post...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=283965
I was also not sure abt this and I asked the same question here but didn't get any response so finally i took the courage to downgrade which went thru very smoothly...

[Q] Does anyone have this.....

Does anyone have this software version on their device?
Software Version: 1.63.531.2 710RD.....is that normal?
I have that same version. It's "normal" if you updated to the most recent build that T-Mobile stopped the OTA for. The next OTA update starts April 9th I believe.
R u sure about that?

Yes, I'm running that now, rooted and with some of the bloatware deleted. That is the latest released T-Mobile ROM for the MT4GS.
R u sure about another update on the 9th?
The OTA seems to have started rolling out early,.... many have been able to DL it today. And even the OTA ROM has the 71 ORD at the end of the version, so I'm sure it's nothing to worry about.
So since there is an update today there will not be one on the 9th?

No, there won't be another one on the 9th. Today's is just the update that was supposed to start on the 9th:

just grab a ClockworkMod recovery image, here is one place you can get it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=17384145&postcount=7
then fastboot flash it the same way you flashed your unlock_code.bin to unlock the bootloader. then you can boot into recovery and flash either superuser or the ROM of your choice.
keep in mind that if you flash a ROM, you may have to refer here:

You have the latest and greatest software which means there may not be a method that works for you yet. You're locked for the time being. Juopunutbear might work, though I've never tried it.

Unlock the bootloader through the htcdev website, follow the root guides afterwards yet remain stock, then try juopunutbear.

[Q] How to go back to at&t stock rom?

Hi everybody,
I have the HTC One X from AT&T (evita), I installed a custom rom but now I want to back to the OFFICIAL Stock Rom AT&T.
My phone is already "sim-unlocked".
1- I must install the OTA or the RUU file on my phone?
2- After this, must I unlock the sim again?
3- And could I receive the OTA update even if I don't use AT&T sim?
Thank you for your attention and your answer.

Sim unlocking has nothing to do with installing custom/stock roms.
Do you mean "Bootloader unlocked" ??
**BE CAREFULL** Many people have bricked there devices flashing a stock ROM when they ran the Super CID hack.
At this point the WISEST course of action I can give you is to use the S-OFF hack available on here, Facepalm S-Off for your device (That does require Super CID) and Root. Once S-Off is set the correct factory ROM for phone won't brick your device.

How to install custom roms?

Hey. I just got a Verizon M8, and I was looking into installing some custom roms. The main rom that I want to install is a port of Android 6.0 from the GPE. It says that I wouldn't need S-Off to install, as to be honest, IDK what that is.
Anyways, how would I go about installing that rom since I wouldn't need S-OFF?

Well...unless your phone is already boot loader unlocked you sir will need s-off. Verizon doesn't allow us to unlock boot loaders like every other carrier out there.
Start @ http://theroot.ninja
And once s-off/unlocked you will be able to flash custom roms. The roms you saw say don't require s-off are based on phone carriers where unlocked bootloaders are allowed.

Install Unlocked ROM in a T-mobile phone

Hello, i have a question, it's a way to change from the stock t-mobile ROM to a stock unlocked version? i don't like the t-mobile apps and that stuff, i just made this process in my old M9 ans M8, but i don't know if the process is the same on the U11 life.
are the same steps? Unlock bootloader, make the s-off, change CID, install new ROM?
Thanks guys

Steps would be similar, Unlock bootloader, Install twrp, install new ROM.
S-off is not available for this device, no need to change CID.

Not sure on an open market ROM, to build one you will need the system and boot images from the ruu. Use the HTC-RUU Decrypt Tool to get them from the ruu.
Use superr kitchen to build the rom.
Here is a Stock rom based on the unlocked ruu 2.15.617.12
Works on T-Mobile
